2016-10-07 Sun Square Pluto (Thor’s Hammer)
This repeats in two versions, each once a year. The other one was earlier in April, and both will repeat in April and October for the next few years. We repeat what we said in April: Sun Square Pluto is about power and power struggles. On a personal basis, chances are good you will see conflict, and you may see violence (including the use of lethal force). Police and intelligence agencies tend to be activated at this time, and death and taxes are issues, too. We add that you might want to look back to what was happening on or about April 6th to understand better what is happening at this time.

Sun Trine Pluto 2016-09-07 (Mystic Rectangle + Kites + Rosetta + Hele)
This repeats in two versions, each once a year. The previous one was in September, and both will repeat in May and September for the next few years. Sun Trine Pluto is also about power and power struggles, but the trines tend to be more benevolent than the squares in April and October. Still, take a look back at April 7th. And, when you reach October 7th, compare your experiences now to then.
The perfection of this aspect is very busy with a number of patterns present, including a Mystic Rectangle, Kites, a Rosetta, and a Hele. Opportunities about, and you may need to form coalitions to achieve certain results, but sorting out friend from foe could be tricky.
Here is the chart, filtered for the Mystic Rectangle:

Sun Opposite Pluto 2016-12-07 (Mystic Rectangle)
This is an annual transit, likely to continue with Sun in Cancer and Pluto in Capricorn for a few more years, and in this case has a Mystic Rectangle as the dominant pattern. Mystic Rectangles tend to be rare patterns, but 2016 has many of them. A window of opportunity is present with this aspect, but you may have to work for it.

2016-04 W15: Forecasts for Week 15 of 2016

2016-04 W15: Forecasts for Week 15 of 2016
Spring is here. We hope you get out in the sunshine and enjoy it when possible. We are a month or less away from the Mercury Retrograde station on April 28th, and this is a relatively quiet time astrologically. Overall, you can “get things done” and should use this window to do just that. But life is short, so just remember to stop and smell the flowers along the way.
Weeks 15 and 16 are relatively quiet with primarily Mercury aspects bringing us our information and our need to change. However, Mars is “slowing down” now and will station retrograde on April 17th followed by Pluto station retrograde on April 18th. Mercury soon follows with station retrograde on April 28th. “Things” grind to a halt during this window, and we have to review and reconsider our plans and efforts with little forward progress until after Jupiter stations direct on May 9th.
The advantages of Friday and Saturday continue today until the Moon moves void (v/c) at 6:16 PM CDT. Get done what you can today, and then rest this evening.
Monday April 4th
Moon moves into Pisces shortly before 1 AM CDT and remains there until 5:33 AM CDT Tuesday morning when it goes void again (in Pisces). You may encounter glitches today, especially regarding the legal system (especially courts), universities (or other higher education), or long distance travel today. (If none of these apply, then health could be an issue.) This is true because the Sun (Aries) makes its annual quincunx to Jupiter (Virgo) today. A very loose mutable T-Square is in play adding to the anxiety and aggravation as we try to make final plans in one of these areas and “things” do not work out as we wish.
If any of this planning involves activities beginning near April 17th through April 28th (and into the Mercury / Mars retrogrades), then iron out the bugs today. More will likely crop up, but this is a very good time to eliminate as many as you can (especially if this is a vacation).
Tuesday April 5th
This is very much a “two steps forward, one step backwards” kind of day BUT, oddly, you can actually accomplish a FEW things if you persist. Moon is void before 6 AM CDT but enters what Jim Shawvan (and Lee Lehman) calls an “opportunity period.” Sun makes its annual trine to Saturn giving us the grit to “get things done.” Venus enters Aries at almost exactly “high noon” but is void prior to that causing us to stumble some time before that, but we should get right back up and continue. We WILL stumble again because Mercury is ALSO void until about 6 PM.
HOWEVER, do not start anything “new.” Hold off on big purchases.
More than one re-do will be required because three planets are void (v/c) today and change signs (aka “sign change boundary”), but if we cannot accommplish something today then we can at least set the stage to get it done some time in the next few. Illegitimi non carborundum.
Wednesday April 6th
Sun squares Pluto and you will either collapse from the energy expended yesterday or you will become even more determined to fight the fight and get things done. At least to some degree, the choice is up to you. Moon is very old, and will favor you if you choose to clear out the grime that has been holding you back.
Again: (1) do not start anything new but (2) you can get a “deal” today since buyers are favored over purchasers. Just make certain it is something you need and will actually use lest it remain unopened in some corner waiting to be disposed of later, maybe when Mercury is retrograde.
Thursday April 7th
The New Moon occurs early today at 6:24 AM CDT and goes void at 9:56 AM CDT bringing a surprise or insight (or both) with it (Moon conjunct Uranus, both in Aries). If you have “gotten things done” the past few days, especially with housecleaning and similar prepatory chores, then you might want to ease off today or even take the entire day off.
Friday April 8th
Moon enters Taurus in early morning hours (1:10 AM CDT) and this is a dynamite day to “get things done.” We hope you rested yesterday, because you will need all the energy you can muster to accomplish “things” today. Jim Shawvan recommends waiting until after Noon EDT (11 AM CDT / 9 AM PDT) to push forward, but we bet you can at least prepare prior to that. Use today wisely; not many of these come along.
Saturday April 9th
Today is much like yesterday, except that Sun (Aries) makes its annual conjunction to Uranus bringing an unexpected surprise (or accident depending upon your personal karma). Moon is void (v/c) in Taurus most of the day, so do expect some weirdness. Nevertheless, you should still be able to accomplish a few things, especially if they deal with finances, certain kinds of art (especially sculpture), or certain aspects of health (especially involving “beauty”).
By today (Saturday) you will be encountering the occasional “glitch” or “gotcha” that precedes the upcoming Mars / Mercury retrograde stations (April 17th / April 28th respectively).

This repeats in two versions, each once a year. The other one will be in October, and both will repeat in April and October for the next few years. Sun Square Pluto is about power and power struggles. On a personal basis, chances are good you will see conflict, and you may see violence (including the use of lethal force). Police and intelligence agencies tend to be activated at this time, and death and taxes are issues, too. This particular aspect has a Hele (issues regarding long term alliances), Grand Trines, and a Thor’s Hammer. We present the chart filtered for the Hele:

Sun Enters Aries (Vernal Equinox) 2016-03-19 (Focused Yod)

Sun Enters Aries (Vernal Equinox) 2016-03-19
The Vernal Equinox occurs March 19th in most of the United States and March 20th in UK / Europe. (Click here for more about the change of seasons in 2016.) We have a Focused Yod present. (For more about Focused Yods in 2016, click here.) That pattern requires you to make a decision (choose wisely!) but also gives you the power to “get things done” once you have made that decision. That pattern occurring at this time will give you both a similar requirement and a similar advantage until at least the Summer Solstice and possibly as long as the Vernal Equinox in 2017.
Here is the chart for the Vernal Equinox of 2016, filtered for the Focused Yod:

Other patterns are also present, including a Hele and a Square Key. For more about Hele patterns in 2016, click here. For more about Square Keys in 2016, click here.
Here is the same chart filtered for the Hele, an ongoing pattern at this time that contains Uranus, Pluto, Astraea, and the North Node (also known as Rahu, sometimes called “hard karma,” and a point in space rather than a physical planet). You are making decisions about who will be your long term alliances this month, and that continues to be an important issue today:
The ongoing Square Key also tells us that you will be learning important “lessons” at this time. Saturn, Uranus, Pluto, and the North Node are involved, so the “lessons” could be a bit harsh at times. If you survive them, you will have new ideas, be fundamentally transformed in some way, and be aware of what is essential.
Here is the chart for the ongoing (longer term) Square Key:
As we have written elsewhere, higher order aspects with outer planets are also in play today. (These also tend to be “longer term.”) For your convenience we will present some of that analysis here (but click the link if you want more):
Sun biseptiles Saturn, and we should consider resolving some old karma or helping someone less fortunate than ourselves or both. Sun quintiles Pluto, and we may encounter a very ingenious idea that either (a) helps us with the biseptiles (helping someone else) or (b) gives us a gift in the form of a smart idea that comes from providing said help. Venus is also novile Uranus today, providing us with an important insight or skill. [click here to read more]
A Grand Fire Trine is also present today (today only), and that tells us that we face an opportunity (particularly strong if you are heavy in your personal chart with Fire / Air signs). Here is the same chart filtered for the Grand Fire Trine:

2016-03-19 Calendar of Aspects
In most of the United States, except the Eastern Time Zone (EDT), the Vernal Equinox greets us late tonight. (EU / UK experience this a half past 5 or half past 6 or later depending upon time zone.)

In any case, they go together and they set the stage for the days to come at least until the Summer Solstice (late June) or possibly as long as the Vernal Equinox of next year (late March)…

Saturday February 20th 2016 Week 08 (W08)
This is an energetic Saturday, and you can “get things done.” And, you will feel an urge to do just that. Issues involving health, education, finances, and taxes come to the forefront. For some people these will be issues with the police or intelligence agencies. Take advantage of your sense of urgency and complete what you can.
Moon (Leo) opposes Mercury, Venus (Aquarius) followed by a quincunx to Neptune (Pisces) and a trine to Saturn (Sagittarius). Of all the days this week, this might be the best one for “getting things done,” and oddly it favors fire and air signs (though the Sun is in Pisces and applying, ultimately, to Neptune and Chiron). If we zoom out and look at Saturday and Sunday together, we could argue that a (very loose) Fire Grand Trine is present.
Venus (Aquarius) is semi-square Chiron (Pisces), and Sun (Pisces) is semi-square Pluto (Capricorn). This creates quite a push to “get things done,” and issues of healthcare (or education) and finances (Capricorn) are part of the mix. Mercury (Aquarius) semi-sextiles Neptune (Pisces). Fire and air signs may be favored, but Pisces and Capricorn clearly have a voice today. And Mercury / Neptune tells us that (some) people will tend to wax poetic (if not grandiose). No “Mars Out” higher order aspects are in play, so look to the earlier aspects this week as well as the Vesta Quadrinovile Juno aspect tomorrow (a skill involving exploring “how we have always done it” and trust & fidelity issues).
Tomorrow remains very similar, and these two days should be considered together for some important project. (Possibly a home improvement project, but certainly an important one.)
Forecast for Tuesday, January 5, 2016

Tuesday is EXTREMELY busy, and any one of three situations COULD dominate the day. Do not be surprised if problems and issues come in “threes” today.
- Mercury makes its first Retrograde Station of 2016
- Sun Conjunct Pluto (A Repeating Annual Aspect)
- Mercury Square Mars (we never really left it)
Most people (astrologers) consider any one of these to be “bad,” or “difficult,” or “a ‘growth experience.’” (Take your pick, depending on your worldview. But, all are different descriptions of the same underlying events.) Mercury / Mars “just happened” in late December, and, effectively, we have never left it. M/M is one of the more dangerous aspects, and coupled with the “overdue issues that need to be revisited” aspect of Mercury Retrograde it may be extra dangerous today. Be careful today, and consider staying home.
That said, SOME people CAN harness all this juice. Just know that you will need to be looking at old projects that may be coming ripe for a resurrection, and that you will need to “cross every ‘t’ and dot every ‘i.’” If someone gets too aggressive or pushy about a “deal,” then back out of it and put it (and them) on ice for review on another day. A New Moon is only a few days away anyway, and if you are a regular reader of this blog then you know that we recommend the period before a NM for clearing away clutter and cleaning to prepare for some kind of launch AFTER the NM. And you might have to wait much later, maybe until some time AFTER the Direct Station on January 25th.
[edit] Actually, an important fourth consideration is in play also: Venus Squares Neptune. It is the aspect of the passionate but short-lived romance. It is the stuff of great movies about love lost and heartbreak and the question of “whether or not it is better to have loved at all.” It also is the aspect of ripoffs and scammers and “things that sound too good to be true.” If you encounter that today, then know that it is too good to be true. That is almost a certainty on this date. And, if you combine it with the other aspects (such as Mercury Square Mars), things could turn very “ugly” (meaning violent or even deadly). This aspect, normally “mostly harmless,” makes this particular day extraordinarily deadly for some people.
Since some people may have trouble visualizing the kind of dangerous situation we are describing, we offer this video of a classic song as a metaphor to clarify the uncertain:
Sun Conjunct Pluto 2016-01-05 (Thor’s Hammer)

Sun Conjunct Pluto 2016-01-05 (Thor’s Hammer)
This is an annual transit, likely to continue in Capricorn for a few more years, and in this case has a Thor’s Hammer as the dominant pattern. Watch out for dangerous people, places, and things during day’s with Thor’s Hammer patterns. This is a slightly slower moving pattern (than, say, the Moon), so the day before and day after may be risky, also. We would not be surprised to see a strong movement in the financial markets somewhere in the three day window (day before, of, and after, the perfection of the aspect).
Here is the chart of perfection of Sun conjunct Pluto this year, filtered for the Thor’s Hammer:

The Sun / Pluto opposition (companion to this chart) perfects on July 7th of this year. And, this year, this aspect perfects the day after Mercury Retrograde station. Problems overdue for “attention” are likely to show themselves at this time.

Sun Trine Pluto 2015-09-05
Let’s be clear, this is a good day for “taking care of business.” Specifically we mean paying bills, especially paying off debts, clearing tax matters, and eliminating anything similar in your life (at least for this year if not permanently).
Here is the chart:

If you really do have all your bill paying, banking, and tax matters caught up, then consider revising your will, advanced directives, and similar documents. If all such matters are caught up, then be happy that you are in a strong position and use this as a comfortable day to research sophisticated topics that you might not otherwise read about.
