This New Moon has a number of interesting patterns. Also, Jupiter is at 29 Aquarius (The “Anaretic Degree“), a place where making decisions can be difficult. This position for Jupiter also means that Jupiter is “fated” according to some, and will soon move into “too early to tell.” (We recently looked at Uranus in the Anaretic Degree of Aries in the Bonnie and Clyde death chart. We also noted Sun AND Saturn in the Anaretic Degree of different signs on March 18th, 2020, near the time when the public first went into a panic about the Pandemic of 2020.)

Just to be clear, this New Moon signals a turning point, maybe a crisis for both individuals and larger groups, maybe nations, maybe the planet (Earth).

We ignore T-Squares because they are virtually always present in some form (so we only talk about Outer Planet T-Squares or something else unusual / powerful.)

Here are the patterns we have identified associated with this New Moon:

  • Kite (one clear cut kite and several “almost” kites)
  • Grand Trines (these are essential for Kites to exist)
  • Hele (conflicts between groups) (we predict bipartisan efforts will tend to fail at this time)
  • Rosetta (conflicts within groups, shifting allegiances)
  • A Double Yod Key (at least TWO (or more!) major decisions in play)
  • A Square Key (two interlaced Huber Learning Triangles; lessons to be learned from the experiences at this time)

A quick summary of what these patterns mean : (1) the Kite signals an opportunity (but this is a “difficult” opportunity in that it involves Saturn and Chiron; the bottom line is you must WORK for this one!); (2) multiple grand trines are in play (many opportunities; some people will let these pass them by); (3) Hele / Rosetta patterns (treachery is afoot; conflicts exist and allegiances are shifting; “bipartisan” efforts either fail at this time or lead to unintended outcomes; politics becomes even more messy than usual); (4) a Double Yod Key (expect AT LEAST TWO, or more, major decisions at this time); and (5) a Square Key (two interlaced Huber Learning Triangles; keep notes and pay attention; you’ll learn important lessons from this period of time).

Here are the charts for this NM, each filtered for the above patterns:

Georgia Spa Killings (2021 Atlanta spa shootings) 2021-03-16

With the advent of a Vernal Equinox dominated by a Thor’s Hammer pattern (which we have discussed many times), and the Mass Murder in Atlanta on March 16th of 2021, we will present a (preliminary) analysis of the events based on the information that we have available.  (However, as of this writing, we have no birth data for the shooter.)

Time of Chart

Most interesting is that the available time information is far more accurate than such data has been in the past.  Assuming that the reports have been truthful (and we have no reason to believe otherwise), we can construct charts for analysis.

Importance of Vesta in this Chart

We note that the Solar Maps United States Map on the Vernal Equinox shows a Pallas line activation of Atlanta although Pallas is not ordinarily malefic.  Our preliminary analysis interpreted the role of Vesta in the Thor’s Hammer as affecting collectives such as police and nurses.

HOWEVER, Vesta is well known as being symbolic of prostitution and prostitutes, particularly those individuals who engage in the behavior for reasons that are arguably noble. (What does that mean?  Historically, the “Vestal Virgins” sometimes engaged in prostitution to bring in resources for their temples.  At least one news report has made it clear that one of the victims who worked in that trade was a single mother using the money to support her children.)

See. also : USA Today: Hyun Jung Grant, killed in Atlanta shootings, was a ‘loving’ single mom who lived for her sons.

Other Tragedies May Follow

Our work invariably lacks a level of precision that so many in our field seek.  The event occurred on March 16th, ahead of the Vernal Equinox.  We note that (ominously) this could signal “more to come” in terms of tragedies during this period.

Update: (March 23rd of 2021, 1448 CDT Plano TX) This article was written about 48 hours prior to the Boulder, Colorado King Sooper Murders by Al Aliwi Alissa.

Consider the following : 2010 had a particularly malefic Vernal Equinox (see: Vernal Equinox 2010: A Bad Moon a Risin’) We thought that chart signaled the WVA Coal Mine Explosion April 5, 2010, and that we were “done” when that horrific tragedy occurred. But that assumption was wrong. (AND, the WVA Coal Mine Explosion ALSO had a Thor’s Hammer pattern ((“God’s Fist” or “Quadriform”).)   A devastating airplane crash followed that took hundreds of lives.

Both of these were preliminary events, “warmups” if you will, for the main event.  With the entry of the Sun into Taurus (where Hitler’s Sun and Biden’s Moon are located, conjunct at the beginning of the sign), the Deepwater Horizon disaster arrived.

I provide this retrospective to make a point: as heartrending are the deaths from this rampage, something worse could be lurking, something that may not greet us for as far out as April 20th (or a few days beyond).

Yods in the Chart : Important Decisions are Tied to this Event

With that warning in mind, here is the chart based on the data currently available from Wikipedia: “2021 Atlanta spa shootings

The first version of the chart we present is filtered for yods.  Two yods are present, and the eighth house (the “death house”) has a stellium (a cluster of planets which functions as a punctuation mark).  The eighth house (and twelfth and fourth house cusp) often features prominently in death charts.

Death Charts and Water Sign Houses

A bit of a side issue : [Skip this if the “details” do not interest you.]

The implication of these three (water sign) houses in death charts is curious: it implies that people tend to die (or events occur associated with death) especially at three times:

  1. shortly past Sunrise (12th House Sun, quite LITERALLY “The House of the Rising Sun“), especially alcohol, drugs, and institutionalized individuals “discovered” as dead);
  2. in the latter part of the afternoon (8th house Sun), about 4 PM or 5 PM (rush hour! But, the eighth house pattern existed CENTURIES before automobiles), or
  3. some time close to midnight (again, often this is discovery by a night shift nurse and, again, modern hospitals are predated by 4th house cusp issues by centuries).

[Click Image to Open in New Tab]

The Eighth House Stellium

We note that the ruler of the 8th (Neptune) is in the eighth. (The 8th house cusp in this chart is in Pisces where Neptune, Venus, Sun, Chiron, and Ceres are located. the stellium (cluster) of planets making a “statement.”)

Ruler of the Tenth in the Eighth

The ruler of the tenth (Venus ruling a Taurus midheaven) is also in the eighth.  We see the ruler of the 10th House in the 8th, a quality that some have associated with “fame in death,” meaning people who are often otherwise ordinary suddenly become famous as a result of their death.  One article describes charts similar to this (Leo Ascendant, Venus in Pisces in the 8th house and ruler of the 10th) and says this : “As Venus is planet of Service and Devotion, and as it is in the highest dignity, it shows someone who is in service of those people who are going through turmoil in life, like abused women or children.

12th House Ruler Near MC and apply to Conjunction to Uranus

Neptune is also the natural ruler of the 12th house.  In this case, the ruler of the 12th is the Moon, located in the 9th near the midheaven and applying to a conjunction with Uranus in Taurus.  (Unexpected events, typically explosions or electrical problems, but obviously in this case the “surprise” of the ambush by the shooter.)

Yods : Critical Decisions

Two (2) yods are present in this chart, and they both represent a set of critical decisions, two independent sets of critical decisions.

The Yod with Vesta at Apex

One yod is tied to Vesta.  (Yods are about DECISIONS, a fork in the road that often changes the destiny of someone for the remainder of their life.)  Since we have identified that Vesta represents the victims (as a collective), we interpret this Yod as a decision made by one or more of the victims (or potential victims who lived).

Did Someone Call in Sick?

A question immediately arises: did someone “call in sick” on this date, decide to not go into work (and that saved their life)?  Did someone else decide to go into work to “cover,” resulting in loss of life?  An important decision of some kind was in play here for the victims.  While the 8th house stellium seems “fated,” the yods hint that choices were available (even if they seemed trivial at the time though, in reality, “life or death”).

Edgar Cayce and the Elevator : “I’ll Take the Next One”

One way to understand this particular yod in this particular situation involves an old story about Edgar Cayce that has circulated for many years (and may, or may not, be true): Edgar Cayce once had an elevator door open in front of him.  Cayce was well known for his ability to see someone’s “aura.”  As he looked into the crowded elevator, almost no one had an aura of any kind (or they were black, dark, and fading quickly).  Cayce declined the invitation, and the elevator malfunctioned after the doors closed.  Everyone on the elevator plunged to their death.

We suspect someone “called in sick” to their work at the spa on this date.  If so, that decision saved their life.  Conversely, someone else may have decided to “go in” to make “a little extra money.”  That decision, under these circumstances, cost them their lives.

Karma: Did the Group Make a Sacrifice at a Karmic Level to Make an Important Statement?

I tend to dislike analyses that use “karma” to “explain” things because “karma” can explain anything and support any viewpoint.  But, in this case, an argument can be made that this group of victims, at a karmic level, chose to make this sacrifice to make an important point : changes need to be made.  What changes?  That is an open question.

The Yod with Hygeia at Apex

Another yod has Hygeia (“health and healthcare”) at the apex.  Did something “go wrong” in the shooter’s recent “treatment”?  (He had recently been in “treatment” for sex addiction.  Did it fail?  What went wrong?  What important decisions were in play? Did someone in the treatment setting make a decision in the treatment of the shooter that precipitated this tragedy?  If so, what changes need to be made regarding such treatment?)

Some “counselors” are ABUSIVE to their clients in the name of so-called “treatment.”  If that happened here, setting in motions these events, then that needs to COME OUT!

Except for a Square Key, other patterns are unremarkable or absent, as is true for both 5th Harmonics and 7th Harmonics.  None of this was about brilliant insights or “learning” through Karma leading to breakthrough insights EXCEPT the Square Key.  The Square Key will not produce brilliant insights, but it does contain the potential for “lessons learned” and a need for changes.

But, what changes?  Is this a hate crime?  That is being debated.  Is this really about addiction?  What about the people working in these settings?  What can be done for them?  Should we decriminalize prostitution?  Or would that “make things worse,” as some have claimed.

Again, “what changes”?

The Square Key : Lessons to be Learned

Here is the Square Key version of the chart:

[Click Image to Open in New Tab]

While almost NONE of the Square Key involves the 8th house planets (death, and the MANY people who died), VESTA is HIGHLY ACTIVATED! (Yet another punctuation mark!)

A Shift in Mindset is Required

The question faces us again, pounding us: “what changes”?  My guess is that barking about “identity politics” and “gun control” will NOT solve the problem or address the underlying issues. A shift in mind set is almost certainly required, and the application of the Moon to Uranus near MC suggests that as well.

Mental Health, Sex Workers, and Similar Core Issues

How we think about mental health, how we address sex workers and the sex trade, and issues that none of us may have considered (yet!) are closer to the heart of the issue.  If we buy into the distractions, if we buy into the “head fake,” then the lessons will repeat.

The Horary Chart : What Question is this Event Asking?

Last, we present the horary version of the chart, as if we “asked a question” at the time.  Oddly, this is a bit like an astrology version of “Jeopardy” : what is the question here?  (We present the horary version of the event and then WORK BACKWARDS to the question.)

[Click Image to Open in New Tab]

Without digging deep into the horary version of the chart, we note that Astraea (law and justice) was opposite the Part of Fatality.  This begs a different question: what role did law enforcement (and our criminal justice system) play in the deaths of the victims here?

We receive a strong “hint” here to look at the legal system and how it interacts with members of the sex trade economy.

Many questions remain open.  Maybe the time to ask them has arrived.

Many remain to be identified, a shift in mindset required.

Until then, the “House of the Rising Sun” will remain the “ruin of many a poor” person.

In Memory of Cainer

Some time over a decade ago, and before I started this blog, I discovered the work of Jonathon Cainer.  He was a standard “Sun sign” style newspaper astrologer in the UK, but he was also much more than that.  His daily entries had a remarkable quality to them that I describe as “philosophical.”  While others, myself included, would focus in on the details of what, say, a Sagittarius Moon / Gemini Sun type full moon had to say, Cainer would zoom out and speak in lyrical words of poetry about the bigger picture of such a turn of events.

He was, in a word, inspiring.

So, I was disappointed to discover this morning, May 19th, that he had passed away on May 2nd of this year, 2016.  No chance now of him reading that email that I kept thinking about sending him for years but then not sending because I wanted to remain anonymous.  No chance of somehow showing up in England and having a chance encounter where I might speak to him for a moment.  The windows are closed, and the best I can do is an analysis of his birth and death charts (based on available data) in his memory.

His birth chart is remarkable, having both a Stretched Pentagram and a Diamond in it.  These tend to be rather rare, and he had both of them.  We show the birth chart for the Stretched Pentagram first:

Cainer (Birth, Stretched Pentagram)

It is the kind of chart, from the perspective of patterns, that is nothing short of amazing.  Here is the birth chart, again, with the Diamond highlighted:

Cainer (Birth, Diamond, Beginner)

Much of the Diamond and Stretched Pentagram overlap.  The evening of Winter’s Solstice 2012 (aka “The End of the World as We Know It”) had a Diamond in it, and while 2012 came and went without the end of the world, we can say that this period of years, marked by the Uranus / Pluto squares (or, as Cainer called it: “the bell tolls seven times”) has been remarkable in changes and upheaval (“Arab Spring,” “Black Lives Matter,” the dominance of “smart phones” in our collective lives, the candidacy of Donald Trump for President, etc.)

Cainer had other patterns also.  He had a “Square Key” which is really two interlocked “Huber Learning Triangles.”  These tell us what his biography said: he worked through some rather intense “karma” to reach the point he did in life.  Life was not particularly easy for him in the beginning, and arguably it was probably fairly tough even after he had acquired fortune and fame.

Here is the chart filtered for the Square Key:

Cainer (Birth, Square Key)

Just in case that was not enough, he also had a “Double Yod Key” (DYK).  This tells us he was face with many tough decisions, the kind where you always look back and wonder “what if I had taken the other path”?  Filtered for DYK:

Cainer (Birth, Double Yod Key)

The DYK is hard to see because it is built into his other patterns.  But, if we filter for yods, we find three of them, and they are a bit more obvious:

Cainer (Birth, Double Yods)

This is NOT an “easy” life.  It is spent worrying about “what if” I had done something else.  But Cainer was also born with the ability to accomplish much, and he did.

Cainer (Birth, Rosetta, Beginner)

Finally, we see a Rosetta in the birth chart.  We interpret this as “unstable alliances,” and from what we know this was true as well.  He moved back and forth between newspapers as shifting alliances pushed him to do just that.

If we filter for a Grand Cross we do not find one, but if we filter for T-Squares, then a slightly “loose” Grand Cross is obviously present (and a source of tremendous energy and the ability to “get things done”):

Cainer (Birth, T-Squares)

A 5th Harmonic filter shows a triangular pattern (two quintiles and a biquintile) involving Mars, Pallas, and Venus:

Cainer (Birth, 5th Harmonic)

We might add here that his highly activated Neptune near Midheaven is an indicator of psychic abilities.  It can also indicate alcohol or drug problems or some kind of involvement (he did manage a bar at one point).  We suspect that he felt many people “pulling” on him.  (Neptune can be the savior / martyr complex as well.)

Seventh harmonic in the birth chart also contains a triangular pattern and is sufficiently activated to indicate, again, these “karmic” issues to work through:

Cainer (Birth, 7th Harmonic)

Vesta/Hygeia, Neptune, and Sun compose the triangular pattern and indicate, again, both psychic abilities and physical illness as well.  (We suspect that long term / chronic illness may have plagued him but that he did not disclose it publicly.)

Now to the death chart.  A single pattern dominates: a hard rectangle!

Cainer (Death, Hard Rectangle)

One other pattern is present in the death chart: a Kite (if you are willing to use North / South lunar nodes):

Cainer (Death, Kite)

We note that the remainder of the kite is formed by Mercury and Pluto, both retrograde.  It is almost as if the cosmic said “OK we will give you a little more time to accomplish something, and then it is time to go.”  We may never know what that “something” was because it likely dealt with family and financial matters.  But he had received a reprieve of some kind from what was likely a “close call” of some kind earlier.  (Again, we will likely never be able to confirm or deny this.)  This kite also says that someone, somehow, greatly benefited from his death!  (What could that mean?)

Seventh Harmonic is also interesting:

Cainer (Death, 7th Harmonic)

Mars, Astraea, and Sun are involved in a triangular 7th harmonic pattern (made of a TriSeptile and two BiSeptiles).  We wonder if some kind of legal issues were about to emerge at the time of his death.  (Again, we would bet that this is something private despite 2 out of 3 planets being above ground.)

Finally, we present the bi-wheel without patterns or much analysis except to note that his second Saturn return was upon him (and the one for the author of this blog is not too far away either).  Saturn returns often “take us home,” and that is what happened for him.

Cainer BiWheel

We have little more to add to this analysis, especially since we prefer our readers dig into it for themselves.  But, he was a giant in the field, and he will be missed.  And, as an aside, my own coming Saturn return leaves me rather “nervous.”

Some of you are still feeling the Saturn Retrograde station (Friday, March 25th) from last week.  This tends to be true if you are heavily invested in a corporate setting or are involved with the financial services industry.

March 2016 (Mars Out)

2016-03 W14: Forecasts for Week 14 of 2016

Week 14 (W14)

Archive of Week 13 (W13)

Sunday March 27th

Moon turns void, and yesterday’s windows close.  If you did not achieve completion, then you must put it on hold or stick to routine activities only (possibly at risk even with those).  Today is not a “bad” day, but you will find it difficult to achieve lasting results today.  Use this as a “day of rest” from yesterday and stick to cleaning up and planning for forward action on another day.

Monday March 28th

Moon enters Sagittarius at 1:47 AM CDT.  Venus perfects a semisextile aspect to Uranus a few hours later, giving the day an “unusual” cast but likely not to strange or disruptive.  Do expect a few minor disruptions but nothing you cannot move past if you focus yourself.

The Square Key in effect since March 16th clears out tomorrow, and you will have learned the lessons you needed to learn in this period or not.  In any case, you will begin to move ahead to a new project (or projects) after the next New Moon (about a week away in April).  You are currently entering a “clearing out” and preparation period, and today is an important part of that.

A series of Rosetta patterns began yesterday, continues today, and will continue until late July.  In fact, Rosettas cover most of the remainder of the year, through December 15th. You  will form alliances now, but they can be temporary and allies can later betray and oppose you.  Choose your friends carefully at this time and disclose as little as you can.

Ceres opposite Hygeia brings issues of food (or prosperity) and health to the forefront.  Some people may revisit their “New Years Resolutions” and (wisely) restart a better version of their plans or improve them into something better.  Others may encounter financial problems over healthcare bills.

Tuesday March 29th

From a lunar point of view, this is a very busy day with Moon conjunct retrograde Saturn (both in Sagittarius) and square Jupiter (Virgo). Mercury (Aries) quincunx Jupiter (Virgo) brings about miscommunication and miscommunication and this feels a bit like Mercury Retrograde.  Mercury Station Retrograde is April 28th, and we will encounter the entering “shadow” beginning April 15th.  This is the first of three Mercury aspects over a three day period.

Juno quadrinovile Ceres means we receive an important lesson, insight or skill involving who we trust and issues of food or prosperity.  Pay attention, this might be an important turning point.

Moon turns void at 8:56 AM CDT.

Wednesday March 30th

Moon remains void until 12:45 PM CDT when it enters Capricorn and slows down certain activities, sometimes requiring a second or third check to make certain things are “right.”

Venus conjoins Chiron in the early hours, and if you have not dealt with issues involving finances, personal values, healthcare, and possibly education, then you will today.  Whatever it is, you cannot ignore it any longer.  Mercury conjoins Uranus today, the second of three in a row, and that combinations FORCES certain issues to the surface.

Use the morning to clear out and plan, and then “bite the bullet” do what must be done during the afternoon and evening.  Take care of it today, finish it today, if you can, because something even larger is coming.

Thursday March 31st

Moon (Capricorn) squares Sun (Aries) and fourth quarter begins.  The next week of cleaning out begins in earnest although some acquisitions can be had since sellers will tend to have an advantage over buyers.  Try to stick with practical purchases and the Moon will favor you.

Mercury conjoins Uranus and brings surprises and possibly powerful insights.  This is a great day for writers and communicators and similar creatives that work with words and messages.  However, transportation “surprises” (problems) can occur also.

Moon trines Jupiter (Virgo) and joins Pluto (Capricorn) in the latter part of the day (which tends to mostly feel benevolent if sometimes a bit too serious).

April 2016 (Mars Out)

Friday April 1st

The early hours are tough for most people who are up at that time, but they can also bring inspirations to writers and other communicators.  Harness the window if you can; it is fleeting.  Moon turns void at 11:39 AM CDT and remains void for most of the reset of the day (until Moon enters 8:37 PM CDT).

Today is “April Fools Day” for those who celebrate such thing, so watch out for Uranian / Plutonian “holiday” surprises.

We note five (5!) Mercury aspects, and noting that Mercury rules tricksters, jesters, thieves, and liars, do be extra careful regarding these kinds of surprises.  But, again, writers and communicators will likely thrive today.  Today is an unusually strong window for writers and communicators (maybe the strongest this year).

Mars Novile Pluto brings important lessons (especially for police and intelligent agents and any similar Martians), and Mercury Novile Neptune brings the same “poets, priests, and politicians” (who, as Sting pointed out, “have words to thank for their positions“).

Saturn BiQuintile Vesta insists that we take a look at our traditions and “why we do them.”  Some things need to stay and others need to go.  By today you should have some idea what those are and should act on them accordingly.

Saturday April 2nd

Days this benevolent are rare and hard to find.  Today is a good day to “take off” not because you need to hide or clean house but just because it is likely to be “fun” for most people.  We need those kinds of days every so often.

If you must work, you will tend to “get things done” and may have some insights.

A late evening glitch (Moon Quincunx Jupiter) may put a pamper on partygoing, but most people can move beyond it and find some kind of alternative fun.

One warning: Chiron opposes Hygeia, and this puncuates that you MUST take care of certain health issues.  Do it.

Week 15 (W15)

Sunday April 3rd

The advantages of Friday and Saturday continue today until the Moon moves void (v/c) at 6:16 PM CDT.  Get done what you can today, and then rest this evening.

Here is a list of New Moons for 2016, and here is a list of Full Moons for 2016.

Appulse Lunar Eclipse (FM) 2016-03-23 (Hard Rectangle)

Appulse Lunar Eclipse (FM) 2016-03-23 (Hard Rectangle)

Let us face it, the big thing about this “full moon” is that it is an eclipse.  Following immediately on the heels of that fact, in importance, is the presence of a “Hard Rectangle.”  Hard Rectangles are a newer pattern and tricky to interpret.  They also tend to be rare, and that adds to the difficulty of categorizing them.  Energetically, they resemble a Thor’s Hammer (aka God’s Fist), but they are not necessarily violent (but could be).

The attack in Brussels, less than 24 hours prior to the perfection of the eclipse (and Hard Rectangle) lends credence to the idea that they may be associated with violence.  But the energy associated with them likely CAN be channeled into more constructive endeavors.

In any case, here is the chart, filtered for the HR, and in basic form:

Appulse Lunar Eclipse (FM) 2016-03-23 (Hard Rectangle)

For those new to astrology, and trying to learn the basics, we present the same chart in “Beginners” format:

Appulse Lunar Eclipse (FM) 2016-03-23 (Hard Rectangle) Beginners

Since we consider this to be a particularly important chart, we will also present it AGAIN in “Horary format” to present certain data useful to people who need that information.  (i.e. “traditionalists”):

Appulse Lunar Eclipse (FM) 2016-03-23 (Hard Rectangle) Horary

Since the discussion of the events in Brussels will likely be covered in depth elsewhere, we will avoid in-depth analysis at this time (reserving the right for later) and only note that (1) similar to 9/11, these occurred in a void, and (2) these occurred less than 24 hours prior to the eclipse / hard rectangle.

A Square Key and Hele are also present, both long term and both discussed elsewhere recently on this blog.  In summary, (1) important alliances will be formed during this window of time and (2) important lessons will be learned.

That said, what else can we say about this particular eclipse?  Well, a critical generational group will be profoundly affected by this eclipse because the transiting Sun/Moon will form the Apex of a yod involving natal Neptune (Scorpio) and natal Pluto (Virgo) for this group:

If you or someone you know / love is in this group, they will face at this time (possibly today but certainly this year) the MOST IMPORTANT DECISION or decisions that they likely will ever face in their life.

Many decisions are important, but this one unquestionably is of paramount importance.  I would go so far as to ignore the nuances and just say “the period from 1956 to 1960, inclusive.”  And an argument could easily be made for widening the window to a few years earlier and a few years later.

If you know of anyone in this age group, pass on the news.  It might make an important difference.

So, what are the choices?  (1) the Eclipse at 3 Aries tells us that we MUST take action.  (2) the Neptune leg is passive and just letting things be, but it is in Scorpio, and we will feel changes and “transformation” (possibly losses) if we follow this route.  (3) the Pluto leg is in Virgo (and therefore requires work) and focuses on health and healthcare as well as accounting and bookkeeping.  In the end, no matter which leg we pick, if we are alive in a few years (as this group moves through its second Saturn return), we may not resemble our former selves.  A radical transformation will happen.  That is a certainty.

All we have said about the Hard Rectangle (energy, possibly violence), Hele (alliances), and Square Key (lessons) will especially apply here and likely over the next year (or longer).  The long window of repeating Jupiter Square Saturn aspects, including todays perfection, confirms the longer term quality of this eclipse / hard rectangle.

If you are not in this age group, do not think you are immune.  Chances are good you are connected to someone in this group in an important way, and their chances will have an impact on you as well.

Our final note is this: based on both the Hard Rectangle AND what happened in Brussels yesterday, we are living in dangerous times.  Be careful.

2016-03-20 Venus Conjunct Neptune (Pisces)

We will not do a “deep dive” here on this aspect since (1) others have covered it in depth and (2) it occurs on the day of the Vernal Equinox of 2016.  (Duplicating our analysis is uncessary.)  We find four patterns (1) a Grand Fire Trine (which several others have mentioned); (2) a Yod (decision) that has been ongoing; (3) a Hele that is longer term and discussed on the Vernal Equinox page (and elsewhere); and (4) a Square Key that is longer term and discussed on the Vernal Equinox page (and elsewhere).

You may also want to compare what is happening in your life today to what happened with Venus Sextile Neptune (in January of 2016) and Venus Opposite Neptune (October 16, 2015).

That said, we present the perfection of Venus conjunct Neptune (Pisces) filtered for the Grand Fire Trine:

Given the spiritual / meditative quality of this aspect, and the high energy quality of a Grand Fire Trine, we recommend some form of “moving mediation” such as walking a labyrinth or maybe a bike ride on a bike path in a park or something similar.  Pictures and video are a good idea at this time, and “creatives” (poets, writers, photographers, and videographers) can produce “break through” work today.

An ongoing Yod requires a decision of us:

A Hele, an ongoing pattern, requires us to check our allegiances and who we wish to have as allies on a long term basis:

Finally, a Square Key (another longer term / ongoing pattern) tells us we may encounter lessons disguised as “annoyances.”  Pay attention and learn from them.

As much as possible, enjoy the day.  It is the first day of Spring.

Sun Enters Aries (Vernal Equinox) 2016-03-19

The Vernal Equinox occurs March 19th in most of the United States and March 20th in UK / Europe.  (Click here for more about the change of seasons in 2016.)  We have a Focused Yod present.  (For more about Focused Yods in 2016, click here.)  That pattern requires you to make a decision (choose wisely!) but also gives you the power to “get things done” once you have made that decision.  That pattern occurring at this time will give you both a similar requirement and a similar advantage until at least the Summer Solstice and possibly as long as the Vernal Equinox in 2017.

Here is the chart for the Vernal Equinox of 2016, filtered for the Focused Yod:

Other patterns are also present, including a Hele and a Square Key.  For more about Hele patterns in 2016, click here.  For more about Square Keys in 2016, click here.

Here is the same chart filtered for the Hele, an ongoing pattern at this time that contains Uranus, Pluto, Astraea, and the North Node (also known as Rahu, sometimes called “hard karma,” and a point in space rather than a physical planet).  You are making decisions about who will be your long term alliances this month, and that continues to be an important issue today:

The ongoing Square Key also tells us that you will be learning important “lessons” at this time.  Saturn, Uranus, Pluto, and the North Node are involved, so the “lessons” could be a bit harsh at times.  If you survive them, you will have new ideas, be fundamentally transformed in some way, and be aware of what is essential.

Here is the chart for the ongoing (longer term) Square Key:

As we have written elsewhere, higher order aspects with outer planets are also in play today.  (These also tend to be “longer term.”)  For your convenience we will present some of that analysis here (but click the link if you want more):

Sun biseptiles Saturn, and we should consider resolving some old karma or helping someone less fortunate than ourselves or both.  Sun quintiles Pluto, and we may encounter a very ingenious idea that either (a) helps us with the biseptiles (helping someone else) or (b) gives us a gift in the form of a smart idea that comes from providing said help.  Venus is also novile Uranus today, providing us with an important insight or skill.  [click here to read more]

A Grand Fire Trine is also present today (today only), and that tells us that we face an opportunity (particularly strong if you are heavy in your personal chart with Fire / Air signs).  Here is the same chart filtered for the Grand Fire Trine:

Jupiter Square Saturn 2016-03-23

We are discussing Jupiter Square Saturn, but we first need to point out that this is a LONG TERM ASPECT.  If you are in the habit of checking the newspaper or website for your “forecast today,” a fortune cookie of sorts, then you likely will NOT understand this.  This REQUIRES a long-term point of view.

We also recommend that you read and compare our analysis of Jupiter Square Saturn in August of 2015.  (This is part of a related sequence.)

Notice that this aspect (Jupiter Square Saturn) has been in play since February 14th (Valentine’s Day, and a rather amazing day astrologically though we were unavailable to develop an analysis for that particular day.), will perfect again May 26th without losing any influence, and move out of influence June 26th (also the date of the perfection of the third of three Jupiter Trine Pluto aspects).  It will come into influence again shortly before the election and continue past the United States Presidential Inauguration in 2017.

Jupiter / Saturn angular aspects (conjunction, squares, and opposition) are notorious for financial market shakeups.  These almost never happen “day of” perfection but in some nearby window (likely precipitated by a lunar or inner planet aspect).  If you check on when financial crashes have happened in the United States, they have historically happened in May, August, and October (particularly in or near the Via Combusta).  (See, also: here and here.   If you click this last link, please note that Clarissa is one of our favorite astrologers, and we frequently repost her work because it is of such high quality.)

This particular Jupiter / Saturn square perfects a few hours before a lunar eclipse.  We present the chart first filtered for squares present at the perfection:

2016-03-23 Jupiter Square Saturn (squares)

A few of you may look at that chart and be suspicious that something else is present.  You are right!  (Fixed signs are absent, but that is not our main point.  However, without them, we have trouble completing something start to finish.  What has to happen today, instead, is (1) to close out the old tasks and projects and (2) start the new tasks and projects.  That is consistent with an eclipse.)

Back to our regularly scheduled program: A T-Square is present, and it trumps a more ordinary look at this as being merely a collection of squares:

2016-03-23 Jupiter Square Saturn (T-Square)

This is no ordinary T-Square.  While Venus perfects it (and is more transitory), if you are willing to loosen your orbs a bit we can consider Neptune to be conjunct Venus (recently perfecting a few days ago) and part of the T-Square.  Neptune is at home in Pisces, Venus is in exaltation, and both are different faces of each other.  They are powerful, far more powerful than either Jupiter (in Detriment) or Saturn (not well placed in Sagittarius).  So, in at least this case, we really need to look at Venus / Neptune to get a “real” idea of what is going on here.

As I hinted earlier, I believe the “real” idea is a hint of a major financial shift later this year.  Venus rules finances (and financial markets), and Neptune stresses impermanence.  If such as change does happen, my guess (again) is in May, August, or October.

Other lessons (patterns) are present with this particular chart.  First, we will learn lessons during this period of time.  A Square Key (really interlaced Huber Learning Triangles) is present.  We show the same chart, filtered for that pattern:

2016-03-23 Jupiter Square Saturn (Square Key)

We can be certain we will learn lessons from the choice we make today.  And a big choice faces us.  We know this because a Yod (the Finger of God and a pattern than indicates important choices of one path or the other but never both).  We show this same chart filtered for the Yod:

2016-03-23 Jupiter Square Saturn (Yod)

We will have to choose our friends carefully today because they will become long-term allies and anchor us to a particular position.  A Hele confirms that this is a day where this will happen:

2016-03-23 Jupiter Square Saturn (Hele)

Finally, an opportunity can be had today.  This is not the “strong” opportunity of a kite, but it obtains a certain amount of strength because (1) this is perfection of a long-term aspect and (2) a lunar eclipse (full moon) occurs later today.  So, you will have an opportunity if you (1) wrap up and close out old tasks and (2) choose wisely in your alliances and the new projects that you begin.  Here is the same chart, filtered for the Grand Trine:

2016-03-23 Jupiter Square Saturn (Grand Trine)

Let us be clear: this is a long term aspect though the eclipse makes today in particular important.  Because this is a long-term aspect, at a minimum, last week and this week are particularly important in the period from February 14th to June 26th as well as the long term effects from the decisions and events that occur during this period.

If you want to review the events of this week (W13), click here.

Here are other Jupiter Square Square Saturn aspects:

Diamond Pattern (and more) 2016-03-14

Diamond Pattern (and more) 2016-03-14

As we have said elsewhere: “International Math Day, Pi Day, or Einstein’s Birthday: take your pick.  (“All of the above” is the right answer here.)  Informally, the Moon forms a very loose grand cross with an opposition to Saturn and squares to Neptune and Jupiter.  You will either accomplish much or nothing at all.  (No in-betweens on this one.)”

But we also have a Diamond Pattern today, and these are uncommon.  We have five of these in 2016, and one begins today.  This reminds us of the Focused Yod and Diamond that occurred a few hours after the Winters Solstice 2012 (aka “The End of the World”).

Today is so heavily patterned and sophisticated that, arguably, it might be easier to list what is NOT present today: Star of David variants, Quintile Kites, Grand Quintiles, Mystic Rectangles, Hard Rectangles, Double Yod Keys, or Stretched Pentagrams.  Everything else we discuss (Everything!) is present on this date!  The Grand Cross tells us some people may accomplish nothing.  But, those that do, if they are properly focused, can accomplish amazing things.  For some, maybe many, today is a turning point.

We also note that March 16th will have a Grand Quintile, and March 23rd has a Hard Rectangle.

Here is the chart for entry to the Diamond pattern:

Diamond Pattern 2016-03-14 MON (Entry)

Moon is at the apex and during the Diamond soon perfects an opposition to Saturn.  “Things” are not “easy,” and they require work for accomplishment.  But, the Diamond tells us important accomplishments can be had today.  And, more is in play.

TWO Square Keys are in play, meaning FOUR Huber Learning Triangles, and we can learn a number of important and sophisticated lessons today.  Pay attention, BIG things are happening now.

Here is the same chart, filtered for those patterns:

Diamond Pattern 2016-03-14 MON (Square Keys)

Two Hele patterns are present and interlaced, making what we calla “Hele Key.”  This is indicative of the formation of critically important alliances, a minimum of two but this pattern tells us there may be more.  You may have important meetings, or at least email and phone calls, that need to go to certain people to form critically important alliances.

Here is the same chart, filtered for those patterns:

Diamond Pattern 2016-03-14 MON (Hele Key)

A Rosetta is present, warning us to be careful about who we invite inside to our alliances.  A temporary alliance may contain those who will ultimately betray us.  Choose your “friends” carefully today.

Here is the same chart, filtered for the Rosetta pattern:

Diamond Pattern 2016-03-14 MON (Rosetta)

A Focused Yod is also present, and it tells us where we can accomplish the most.

Here is the same chart, filtered for the Focused Yod:

Diamond Pattern 2016-03-14 MON (Focused Yod)

We also have a Kite, known well for the “good luck” in brings.  This also confirms that we can not only accomplish much today, and we can obtain good results.

Here is the same chart, filtered for the Kite:

Diamond Pattern 2016-03-14 MON (Kite)

Here is the Grand Cross we have mentioned.  As we have mentioned before, some will accomplish much, maybe truly amazing things.  Others will accomplish nothing.

Here is the same chart (again!), filtered for the Grand Cross:

Diamond Pattern 2016-03-14 (Grand Cross)

Regarding the Grand Cross, mutables are affected the most.  That means Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces will be affected most.

Finally, we mention Yods (not just the Focused Yod).  We have several of them, and this indicates that multiple decisions are present today.  Given the power of these energies, we recommend that you choose well.

Here is this same chart (again!), filtered specifically for Yods:

Diamond Pattern 2016-03-14 MON (Yods)

We do not discuss the Grand Trine present because it is part of the Kite.  We do not discuss the multiple T-Squares present because they are part of the Grand Cross.

Here is a list of Diamond Patterns from 2010 to 2040.

2016-03-08 Solar Eclipse (Square Key + Yod + Thor’s Hammer)

2016-03-08 Solar Eclipse  (Square Key + Yod + Thor’s Hammer)

This eclipse is the first of five this year!  The next Solar Eclipse is September 1, 2016, and we have lunar eclipses March 23, 2016, August 18, 2016, and September 16, 2016.

And, this eclipse has a rather interesting quality (that I had initially missed): it starts on March 9th and ends on March 8th!  Do not believe me?  Read this article.  Again, because it starts in one time zone on one side of the International Date Zone, and it moves “backwards” across the International Date Zone to another time zone, it starts on March 9th and ends on March 8th.  (I do not think we get many of these.)

Solar Eclipse 2016-03-08

First we look at this eclipse from the standpoint of the Square Key:

2016-03-08 New Moon (Square Key + Yod + TH)

Will not repeat in detail the deep dive that other commentators have done regarding Sun/Moon here being close to Chiron (health, education, and the “wounded healer”) on one side and Ceres (“prosperity” in general, and food, diet and nutrition in particular).  But do keep in mind that many of us are facing a blend of these critical issues at this time.  In fact, this is a “5 point Stellium” in Pisces.

What we will note is that, is that a Square Key pattern is present that ties together Uranus, Pluto, Saturn, and the North Node.  Square keys are really interlaced Huber “Learning Triangles,” and this means we are facing important lessons regarding North Node (“Karma,” and in this case dealing with finances or health or both; this is “reaping what you have sown” in these areas.)  How is your health?  Are you doing what it takes to maintain or improve it?  If so, great!  If not, the time is at hand for a change.  Exactly the same is true regarding finances.  Adding Saturn into the mix means that you need to change “or else.”  The “or else” is strong here.

Also in the mix is Pluto in Capricorn (birth, death, rebirth, police, intelligence agencies and taxes all applied primarily to financial areas (or maybe your knees! Or skeletal system).  And Uranus (surprises; unforeseen circumstances along with insights, sometimes genius level insights, and electronics and electricity) is in the mix, too.

As we always say: only you can truly interpret this mix.  (But we hope the previous identifications of issues is helpful.)

Tempers are still fragile from Mercury square Mars over the weekend, and Mercury semisquare both Uranus and Pluto yesterday.  By itself, these would be “enough” to put many if not most people “on edge.”  But, a Thor’s Hammer pattern is present also.  We now present the chart for perfection of the Solar Eclipse, filtered for the Thor’s Hammer:

Solar Eclipse 2016-03-08 (Thor's Hammer)

What is at stake here?  Vesta, Saturn, and Jupiter are involved.  They tell us the issues that are likely to make someone’s “blood boil” today and lead them to take action.  We note that Jupiter is square Saturn.  Jupiter is in a place of weakness, and things are not so good for Saturn either.  Jupiter (law, legal, courts, higher education, long distance travel, and ambassadors) is addressing Virgo issues (health, healthcare professionals, bookkeeping and accounting, and focusing on “things” being “orderly”).  Frankly, Jupiter is more about looking at the “big picture” and detests focusing on “things” being “orderly.”

Saturn is even worse off.  Saturn (tests, trials, tribulations, sticking to the “basics,” and sometimes the Bear Market side of financial markets but also financial markets in general) is in Sagittarius (all the same issues as Jupiter).  In fact, Jupiter RULES Sagittarius which makes life very bad for Saturn, indeed, at this time.

Sesquiquadrate to BOTH Jupiter and Saturn is Vesta, an asteroid that is all about “doing things the way we have always done them.”  While traditions often serve us, Vesta will continue them far past the point of benefit.  It is in conflict with BOTH Jupiter and Saturn.  Do not be surprised if we have some kind of mass casualty incident at a place that involves some kind of bureaucracy.  (Post workers? School shootings? What is next?)  Some VERY important lawsuits may be filed today.

Again, only you can interpret how this applies to your situation.

A Hele is present, and we will refrain from commentary except to say you should pay attention to who you are talking to today.  The possibility exists that you may identify someone, maybe several someones, who can become an important ally.  Uranus, Pluto, Astraea (law and legal systems), and the North Node combine to form this pattern.  Here is the same chart,  but filtered for the Hele:

Solar Eclipse 2016-03-08 (Hele)

Again, you will have to interpret this pattern to fit your situation.  Finally, we present this chart filtered for a Yod, sometimes called “God’s Finger,” and the pattern that indicates an important decision is at hand:

Solar Eclipse 2016-03-08 (Yod)

Jupiter (we have discussed this earlier) is at the apex of the Yod.  The debilitated Jupiter that must deal with healthcare and minute details instead of large policy issues looks to a decision.  On one hand is Pallas, a source of very bright ideas that have a bit of a warrior quality to them.  On the other hand is Uranus, the source of the Olympic Torch and bringer of light to all.  Uranus is the true innovator, more so than Pallas who is very good.  But Uranian ideas seem very strange to those who cannot yet quite see the future, and supporters of Vesta (“doing things the waywe have always done them”) will likely go beserk today with a Uranian path.  You will have to decide.  Are you willing to battle the traditionalists who will offer a “good” (but “lesser”) idea, or are you willing to take a risk on an unconventional “best” idea?

Venus Sextile Uranus 2016-03-02 (Double Yod Key)

Venus Sextile Uranus 2016-03-02 (Double Yod Key)

Venus Sextile Uranus happens three times in 2016, and this is the first.  The other two are June 12th and December 25th (Christmas Day).  The aspect tends to bring kinky or unusual sex or unusual sexual relationships.  Traditionally that meant LGBT, but now that those are becoming more “mainstream” it might mean other “more unusual” relationships.  But, if you are LGBT, this should tend to be a good day for you.

This day has a Double Yod Key (DYK) in it from 3:32 PM CST to 9:05 PM CST.  That is a period of at least two important decisions, and it could be a time of many more important decisions, the kind that tend to be “life changing.”

We present the chart for perfection of Venus Sextile Uranus, filtered for the DYK:

Venus Sextile Uranus 2016-03-02 (Double Yod Key)

This DYK appears in an extended period from February 20th until March 15th that contains a Square Key.  That means this period is a period of learning important “lessons.”  Here is the same chart, filtered for the Square Key:

Venus Sextile Uranus 2016-03-02 (Square Key)

What do these two mean together?  We have been learning a series of important lessons since February 20th and will continue to do so through March 14th.  But today, particularly today, brings a series of important decisions to the forefront.  In other language, “things come to a head.”

Oddly, though we can prepare, we cannot take truly decisive action until Friday when we have a Focused Yod (which is very good for “getting things done”).  Friday requires a decision, as well, but if we make it and truly commit to one path, then we can “get things done.”

Here is a list of similar aspects from 2010 through 2040:

Wednesday March 2nd 2016

A Square Key has been present since February 20th and lasts until March 14th.  A Double Yod Key (DYK) begins today at 4:16 PM CST and lasts through Friday, March 4th at 9:12 PM CST.  The Double Yod Key brings us a period of several (at least two, possibly many more) important decisions, and the Square Key is a period of important (possibly life changing) “lessons.”  Friday afternoon is particularly important as a Focused Yod dominates the sky from 3:32 PM CST until 9:05 PM CST.  This period on Friday is an important time when we can “get things done.”

Wednesday, in particular, is a busy day in terms of lunar aspects, and these lunar aspects tend to favor fire and air signs.  Everyone will be busy, and for some of you (especially fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) and air (Libra, Aquarius, Gemini)) will be especially busy.

Venus (Aquarius) sextiles Uranus (Aries), and some people engage in kinky sex or at least “unusual” romantic relationships.  (If you have been contemplating such a thing, this is your day to “make it happen.”)

This is tainted a bit as Juno (trust and loyalty) stations retrograde today.  Juno is associated, also, with female roles, notably, wife, mother, sister, and daughter; of these, it is especially associated with the wife of the philandering husband (Jupiter).  In any situation, trust issues will come to the forefront today, and you may need to eject someone (maybe even a group) from your life.

Hygeia and Uranus are quadrinovile.  Quadrinovile is associated with powerful insights (sometimes “far out” metaphysical aspects) that open the door to new skills and technologies that completely alter how “things are done.”  Sometimes these are called “disruptive technologies.”  In this case, on one side, we have the “health and healthcare” issues of Hygeia and on the other we have “computers, internet, electronics, social workers, and radical innovations” from Uranus.  We would not at all be surprised to see some major shift in the healthcare system on this date.

We note that Venus (Aquarius) sextile Uranus (Aries) AMPLIFIES the Hygeia / Uranus aspect, and Aquarius is the home for Uranus.  Both Aquarius and Uranus are the home of all issues involving “computers, internet, electronics, social workers, and radical innovations.”  In a word, it is the “future.”  Venus is about art and love and pretty farms, but it is also finances (particularly the financial markets) and the body.

This a GREAT day to resurrect that “New Years Resolution” to improve your health but now in a more practical version that actually works.  And, if you already have a version that works you can now expand it (carefully) in some creative and innovative way.

Do keep in mind that much of this “turns off” on Thursday and the windows close.  If you are to get something done, do it today if you can.  Friday, you will get another shot at your single most important issue.

Sun Conjunct Neptune 2016-02-28 (Square Key + Hele)

The aspect is great for poets and photographers, but it is not so good for signing contracts or forming alliances.  Nevertheless, a Hele is present, indicating that you can form a long term alliance at this time.  But, the Square Key is telling us that (whether or not you form the alliance) you will learn “lessons.”  Form the alliance, and you will learn “lessons” (aka work through Karma).  Refuse to form the alliance, and you will pay a price for that, also.  Maybe it is just better to take pictures and write poetry today.

Here is the chart for perfection of the aspect, filtered for the Square Key:

Full Moon 2:22 (February 22nd 2016)

Full Moon 2:22 (February 22nd 2016)

Some days are simple, and others are complex.  The same can be said for lunations (Full Moons and New Moons): some are simple, and some are complex.  The Full Moon today, and associated aspects, are complex.

First of all, the numerologists are surely have a field day with this.  (Note: I am not a numerologist.  Repeating star cycles make “sense” to me.  Repeating number cycles, that seem otherwise random, do not.  But, I am willing to “give them a chance.”)

Today is a 2:22 “Master Number Day” in a nine (9) year.  Since, in Western Numerology, “nines” disappear (when you use them to reduce a number you get the original number back), that means that today is a pure “2:22” Master number day.  A similar Full Moon will not occur again until 2035, and 2035 reduces to “1” which means THAT “2:22” Master Number Full Moon is not “pure” like this one.  From this vantage point, alone, today is special.

AND, we have four patterns present in this Full Moon: (1) a Hele indicating important allegiances being formed or “updated”; (2) a Yod indicating an important decision today (probably about the allegiances though not necessarily); (3) a Square Key (which indicates that important “lessons” can be learned from the outcomes of today’s decisions; and (4) a Thor’s Hammer (the “God’s Fist” pattern which provides “energy” but can lead to anger, tempers flaring, and sometimes violence or explosions).  To be certain, it is a very “busy” day.

Sun in Pisces is opposed by Moon in Virgo.  As many have written elsewhere, this brings into play themes of work (Virgo) and play (Pisces), detailed oriented tasks such as bookkeeping and accounting as opposed to development of lyrics and music, and similar Pisces / Virgo issues.  With Jupiter (the “old” or “traditional” ruler of Pisces) nearby in Virgo and Neptune (the modern ruler of Pisces) nearby in its home sign of Pisces, the Pisces side of these issues is particularly emphasized.  Weirdly, this could mean odd things such as seeing the “music” in bookkeeping and accounting or similar viewpoints.  (And this is a very important date for anyone in the “music business.”)

In addition to the Full Moon, Venus is particularly active today.  Issues of health, beauty, and finances come to the forefront.  Venus quintile Mars brings innovative ideas about how to “get things done.”  Venus septile Saturn may provide some hard lessons about how we thing about helping those less fortunate than ourselves.  Venus undecile Neptune brings in issues of dreams, poetry, music, drugs and alcohol, and those are already in play with this particular Full Moon.

Outer planet aspects are particularly active, and Hygeia enters Virgo (again, emphasizing the healthcare issues associated with this Full Moon).  Neptune is semisquare Vesta, and we find ourselves feeling some sense of urgency in which our traditions and “how we have always done it” are in conflict with our desires and hopes regarding play, health, dreams, music, poetry, drugs and alcohol.  (Maybe it is time to find a new way to “get things done.”)  Juno semisquares Hygeia, and somehow some of us find our faith shaken in an important way regarding health and the healthcare system.  Jupiter is semi-sextile Black Moon Lilith (a point, not a planet), and some of us must explore taboo topics particularly regarding sex and sexuality.

Here is a list of New Moons for 2016, and here is a list of Full Moons for 2016.

As an aside, I am including the forecast for the previous day (Sunday 2:21) rather than making a separate post for it:

February 2016

Week 9 (W09)

Sunday February 21st

Sunday continues the yod of Saturday in a different variant form with Chiron effectively replacing Neptune and forcing issues involving health or education (or both) to the forefront.  A grand fire trine (Uranus / Moon / Saturn) helps us to “get things done” particularly if we are either a fire sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) or an air sign (Libra, Aquarius, Gemini).  Since fire signs are favored most, if you are a air sign you would be smart to hitch your wagon to a fire sign today if you can.  Water and Earth signs can “get things done” also, but are not favored as much (except by means of any fire or air sign planets you might have in your natal chart).  Whatever the case, make your decision by 10 AM CST if you want to be effective in “getting things done” today.

Moon (Leo) squares Mars (Scorpio) at 7:18 PM CST and then goes void.  Best to have your project finished by this point in time if at all possible.  Stick with productive time before the void and use the void for “cleanup” activities once the void begins.

Full Moon 2016-02-22 Square Key, Hele, Thor’s Hammer, and more

Full Moon 2016-02-22 Square Key, Hele, Thor’s Hammer, and more

This is a complex Full Moon, and it will be more of a turning point for some people than others.  A Hele is present (one that involves Uranus / Pluto, of the famous series of squares involving those planets since 2012).  We will see a solidification of alliances that moves beyond anything we have seen before.  No doubt this will particularly play out in the political area (especially Presidential politics), but we will see it elsewhere as well.

The Square Key, an interlaced pair of Huber Learning Triangles, brings us a set of important “lessons” related to the decisions today.  A Yod, with Vesta at the apex, forces us to between Mars (taking action, quickly and decisively) and the North Node (a point rather than the planet, but an important one involving “karma” (Rahu/Ketu in the Vedic world) and struggling to “work through” an important issue).  We also have a Thor’s Hammer (involving the Moon (of the FM) and the Uranus/Pluto pair mentioned earlier.  This gives much “energy” but can lead to anger, tempers flaring, and sometimes even violence.

We have four patterns in play: (1) a Hele; (2) a Square Key; (3) a Yod; and (4) a Thor’s Hammer.  This is a particularly busy Full Moon, and 2016 has a number of these.

We present the Full Moon chart, perfecting in Plano TX, filtered for the Hele:

As noted elsewhere, this day is also active regarding Outer Planets (Mars out).  Some of the activity includes Hygeia, Juno, Jupiter, and Neptune.  Here is a link to the chart for the similar 2014 Full Moon and the similar 2015 Full Moon.

For those who wish to look back (retrospective) and look forward (prospective) at “similar” Full Moons (Moon in Virgo / Sun in Pisces), here is the list of the dates and times of perfection of similar FM’s from 2010 to 2050:

Square Key 2015-11-28

This particular Saturday has a bit of annoyances in the morning followed by the insights from a Venus / Chiron Biquintile in the evening.  (Afternoon / late night for EU / UK.)  A Square Key formation begins about 8 AM CST (9a EST / 6a PST) and lasts until about 2 PM CST (3p EST / Noon PST).  We present the chart at or near (depending on your orbs) the beginning of the formation:

2015-11-28 Square Key

Like the earlier aspects (Venus semi-square Saturn and sesquiquadrate Neptune earlier in the morning), this pattern tends to be a bit annoying.  And ALSO like the Venus / Chiron BiQuintile this evening, this pattern tends to bring insights (aka “lessons”).  Expect the unexpected, and learn what you can.  A quiet evening at home might be better than a major party tonight.

Aspect Patterns for November 2015 and December 2015

For both your convenience and ours, we are providing our aspect pattern analysis for the final two months of 2015 (November 2015 and December 2015).

First, this sixty two (62) day period does not contain any of the following patterns (excluding the use of minor asteroids, Transneptunians, and so forth):

  • Quintile Kite
  • Grand Quintile
  • Diamond
  • Stretched Pentagram
  • Stellium (5 point)
  • Star of David
  • Star of David (Almost)

This search was performed with Solar Fire 7, and the results of other programs and settings may provide differing results.  Also, combining both Natal positions and transiting positions can identify patterns that apply in a particular person’s life.  (Consult a suitably trained astrologer for such guidance.)

We did find the following patterns:
  • T-Squares
  • Grand Trines
  • Yods (includes Focused Yods, list again later)
  • Thor’s Hammer (aka God’s Fist)
  • Grand Cross
  • Kite
  • Kite Almost (1)
  • Kite Almost (2)
  • Mystic Rectangle
  • Hard Rectangle
  • Focused Yod
