The Vernal Equinox was March 19th / 20th depending on your location (with Venus conjunct Neptune on the same day), and the next lunation (a Aries / Libra Lunar Eclipse (a special type of Full Moon)) wad on March 23rd (Jupiter perfects a square to Saturn a few hours earlier on the same day).   Jupiter / Saturn has been exerting ongoing influence (especially on the financial markets), and this is the second of three with the first being last fall.

2016-03 W13: Forecasts for Week 13 of 2016

March 2016 (Mars Out)

Archive of Week 12 (W12)

Week 13 (W13)

Sunday March 20th

For the eastern coast of the United States (aka the “East Coast”), the Vernal Equinox occurs today at half past midnight.  (To determine the time for your locale, click here.)   Venus (Pisces) joins Neptune (Pisces), and this is a very good “feel good” day but a terrible day to sign contracts or make long term commitments.  Spiritual endeavors tend to prosper (as long as no long term commitment is involved).  Pluto is active in higher order aspects to Pallas (ingenious plans, especially military in nature) and Vesta (traditions).  Expect issues involving death and dying (or taxes) to surface today and be blended into spirituality.

Monday March 21st

Today is the “Ecclesiastical” beginning of Spring (used as part of the determination of when Easter occurs).  Moon is in Virgo all day and quite active.  Mercury enters Aries in the evening and is void (v/c) prior to that.  Communications and transportation problems may emerge during this window; do not buy a vehicle, computer, or phone during this time.  And, whether we are aware of it or not, we are preparing in some way on some level for what the upcoming Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon Aries / Libra) will bring us.

Moon becomes void only a few hours later, making it difficult to accomplish anything lasting today.  Stick to routine tasks and plans for action after the eclipse on Wednesday.

Tuesday March 22nd

Moon is void in Virgo all day long, entering Libra 10:23 PM PDT / 11:23 PM MDT in the swestern part of the United States.  Again, stick to routine tasks and plans for action after the eclipse on Wednesday.

Wednesday March 23rd

We have a double header with Jupiter Square Saturn today along with the Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon Aries / Libra).  Note that Jupiter / Saturn will perfect again May 26th, and this aspect exerts continuing influence from February 14th of 2016 until October 28th of 2016.  Chances are good this week, maybe today, will mark an important milestone in this window.  The eclipse punctuates that.

Sun conjoins Mercury circa 3:11 PM CDT, and the window form 2:40 PM until 3:40 PM CDT is particularly useful (Cazimi) for key actions involving communications or transportation.  You can buy that car, computer or phone if you can seal the entire deal during this window.

A Hard Rectangle also forms on the 23rd:

Hard Rectangle Enters   March 23 2016 5:56:47 am (CDT +5:00)
Hard Rectangle Leaves March 23 2016 3:32:35 pm (CDT +5:00)

Thursday March 24th

Mercury trines Mars today, and you should accomplish all you can prior to Moon becoming void of course after its opposition to Uranus.  The aspect (the opposition) can bring some very smart ideas, but you need to wait until you have more information, some time Friday afternoon (tomorrow), before you attempt to put those into action.  Take this “time off” to do as much research as you can and lay the foundation without making any major commitments to move forward.

Friday March 25th

At 1:10 PM CDT the Moon moves into Scorpio, but you still may want to wait a few hours to put into action your plans from yesterday evening since the Moon is in the “too early to tell” period (also known as a “sign change boundary”).  You MIGHT can make “it” work (whatever “it” is), but the venture will be risky and require significant concentration to make “it” work.

Venus (Pisces) opposes Jupiter (Virgo) and squares Saturn (Sagittarius) today, forming a mutable T-Square.  The T-Square will give you great energy, but mutable T’s are about finishing the tasks at hand (bring them to completion), cleaning up, and laying the groundwork to launch the next major endeavor.

Saturday March 26th

As far as “getting things done” goes, Saturday is a powerhouse, the best day this week.  If you did not launch your new project yesterday, then launch it today and accomplish all you can today.  Set leisure activities aside for another day, and focus on accomplishing the most important tasks today, especially anything part of a larger project.

Sun (Aries) trines Mars (Sagittarius), Venus (Pisces) sextiles Pluto (Capricorn), and the Moon has MOSTLY favorable aspects (two small glitches, one in the early morning hours and one shortly before 8 AM CDT; you can move past these and SHOULD do that).  Get’er done!

Week 14 (W14)

Sunday March 27th

Moon turns void, and yesterday’s windows close.  If you did not achieve completion, then you must put it on hold or stick to routine activities only (possibly at risk even with those).  Today is not a “bad” day, but you will find it difficult to achieve lasting results today.  Use this as a “day of rest” from yesterday and stick to cleaning up and planning for forward action on another day.

We had a Solar Eclipse recently, on March 8th/9th.  And we’ll be having a Lunar Eclipse on March 23rd.

So what is a Solar Eclipse, right?  And what is a Lunar Eclipse?  And what is the difference?

Aiyanna Lynn - Inspired Life | Welcome to Avalon

If yesterday felt a little confining and icky, today will likely feel better.
Moon is in security loving Cancer, connected to Chiron, Mercury, and the south node of the moon in the deep waters of Pisces, with a weaker connection to Jupiter and the north node of the moon in attentive Virgo, and Jupiter connects with Pluto in grounded and productive Capricorn, and Pluto connects back to the stellium in Pisces that I mentioned above. These planets create a shape called Mystic Rectangle, which not only looks cool visually, but provides some safety valves and escape hatches for handling any harsher energies of the day – or to support you in processing harsh energies of previous days.

In plain English – pay attention to your emotions today, specifically noticing the wisdom you already have inside you regarding a situation you are trying to make sense of. You will likely notice…

Look at Jupiter, currently retrograde, in mutable Virgo, not moving very fast now, and having been close to North Node /Rahu for quite some weeks, and all during this two week period between the solar eclipse just passed and the lunar eclipse to come. Jupiter, now in Virgo resonates with health, purification, cleaning up, refining, perhaps even specialising in some field. All these are favoured for the next few months, until Jupiter moves into Libra later this year in September. And while Jupiter is in retrograde our focus is turned more inward, on ourselves, on finding answers within ourselves, and healing or purification if required. There is so much that can be said about health and healing from various sources – as to which doctor or therapy might work for you, which philosophy; well during a retrograde the opportunity to look within to find that Jupiter archetype arises. The Rahu…

I ran across this post on reddit and the last eclipse in September 2015 as mentioned below, is such an incredible confirmation of my awakening.

Think about what was happening for you during the last eclipse in September 2015, as it is likely you are wrapping up lose ends from this time and getting ready to step into the new.

In order to step into the new, this Eclipse will also require us to heal parts of our soul that have been ignored.

Due to the other energies present during this Eclipse, it is likely that this healing could stem from this life and past lives as well.

The Universe will really be asking us to heal and release all that is unloved within us and help us to break down any barriers that we have created when it comes to love.

Unconditional Love is the most powerful vibration in…

The Solar Eclipse was a little over a week ago, right?

AnswersOnline Blog

The Solar Eclipse portends a major change or event whose effects can be felt for several months. The light of the Sun is blocked during a Solar Eclipse, limiting your ability to see what is really going on. But you can be sure that there will be a new beginning that is preceded by a big, and perhaps, unexpected, ending. Something may be “eclipsed out” of your life to make way for something new.

Aries

You might want to pull up the covers and hide, as this energy is emotionally stressful and could reveal a painful secret or other sensitive information. But shining a light on your skeletons will ultimately liberate you and help you heal. The support of a parent or boss could be helpful.

Taurus

You could be putting more into a friendship than you are receiving in return. It’s not that you always expect to receive in…

Jupiter Square Saturn 2016-03-23

We are discussing Jupiter Square Saturn, but we first need to point out that this is a LONG TERM ASPECT.  If you are in the habit of checking the newspaper or website for your “forecast today,” a fortune cookie of sorts, then you likely will NOT understand this.  This REQUIRES a long-term point of view.

We also recommend that you read and compare our analysis of Jupiter Square Saturn in August of 2015.  (This is part of a related sequence.)

Notice that this aspect (Jupiter Square Saturn) has been in play since February 14th (Valentine’s Day, and a rather amazing day astrologically though we were unavailable to develop an analysis for that particular day.), will perfect again May 26th without losing any influence, and move out of influence June 26th (also the date of the perfection of the third of three Jupiter Trine Pluto aspects).  It will come into influence again shortly before the election and continue past the United States Presidential Inauguration in 2017.

Jupiter / Saturn angular aspects (conjunction, squares, and opposition) are notorious for financial market shakeups.  These almost never happen “day of” perfection but in some nearby window (likely precipitated by a lunar or inner planet aspect).  If you check on when financial crashes have happened in the United States, they have historically happened in May, August, and October (particularly in or near the Via Combusta).  (See, also: here and here.   If you click this last link, please note that Clarissa is one of our favorite astrologers, and we frequently repost her work because it is of such high quality.)

This particular Jupiter / Saturn square perfects a few hours before a lunar eclipse.  We present the chart first filtered for squares present at the perfection:

2016-03-23 Jupiter Square Saturn (squares)

A few of you may look at that chart and be suspicious that something else is present.  You are right!  (Fixed signs are absent, but that is not our main point.  However, without them, we have trouble completing something start to finish.  What has to happen today, instead, is (1) to close out the old tasks and projects and (2) start the new tasks and projects.  That is consistent with an eclipse.)

Back to our regularly scheduled program: A T-Square is present, and it trumps a more ordinary look at this as being merely a collection of squares:

2016-03-23 Jupiter Square Saturn (T-Square)

This is no ordinary T-Square.  While Venus perfects it (and is more transitory), if you are willing to loosen your orbs a bit we can consider Neptune to be conjunct Venus (recently perfecting a few days ago) and part of the T-Square.  Neptune is at home in Pisces, Venus is in exaltation, and both are different faces of each other.  They are powerful, far more powerful than either Jupiter (in Detriment) or Saturn (not well placed in Sagittarius).  So, in at least this case, we really need to look at Venus / Neptune to get a “real” idea of what is going on here.

As I hinted earlier, I believe the “real” idea is a hint of a major financial shift later this year.  Venus rules finances (and financial markets), and Neptune stresses impermanence.  If such as change does happen, my guess (again) is in May, August, or October.

Other lessons (patterns) are present with this particular chart.  First, we will learn lessons during this period of time.  A Square Key (really interlaced Huber Learning Triangles) is present.  We show the same chart, filtered for that pattern:

2016-03-23 Jupiter Square Saturn (Square Key)

We can be certain we will learn lessons from the choice we make today.  And a big choice faces us.  We know this because a Yod (the Finger of God and a pattern than indicates important choices of one path or the other but never both).  We show this same chart filtered for the Yod:

2016-03-23 Jupiter Square Saturn (Yod)

We will have to choose our friends carefully today because they will become long-term allies and anchor us to a particular position.  A Hele confirms that this is a day where this will happen:

2016-03-23 Jupiter Square Saturn (Hele)

Finally, an opportunity can be had today.  This is not the “strong” opportunity of a kite, but it obtains a certain amount of strength because (1) this is perfection of a long-term aspect and (2) a lunar eclipse (full moon) occurs later today.  So, you will have an opportunity if you (1) wrap up and close out old tasks and (2) choose wisely in your alliances and the new projects that you begin.  Here is the same chart, filtered for the Grand Trine:

2016-03-23 Jupiter Square Saturn (Grand Trine)

Let us be clear: this is a long term aspect though the eclipse makes today in particular important.  Because this is a long-term aspect, at a minimum, last week and this week are particularly important in the period from February 14th to June 26th as well as the long term effects from the decisions and events that occur during this period.

If you want to review the events of this week (W13), click here.

Here are other Jupiter Square Square Saturn aspects:

(Click here for a more comprehensive list.  But, be forewarned that that list contains over 500 entries, as opposed to the 30 that are shown here.)

Eyes of Heaven

8-9 March

Besides the Eclipse being at 18 degrees of Pisces, with Jupiter in opposition, there are several other planets at nearby degrees.

Saturn is at 16 of Sagittarius; a square to the New Moon. Pluto is at 17 of Capricorn; a sextile to the New Moon. Uranus is at 18 of Aries; which is a minor aspect called a semi-sextile. Chiron is in the New Moon mix via a conjunction from 20 degrees of Pisces. If you have any planets at these degrees, the New Moon can be a significant personal experience.

Each of these planets have a light and dark way of representing archetypes. Our life experiences bring these positive or negative understandings to the feelings evoked again. The best thing about this time is the Chiron participation. This subtle vibration insists on healing things which no longer can be carried into our daily life.

If you aren’t sure where…

The mutable water sign of Pisces represents the element of water as fog, mist or light rain. We expect rain overnight here in Calgary, AB Canada. If we wake up to fog too I’d say Neptune, ruler of Pisces and this New Moon/Total Solar Eclipse, will be in play all around us.

It is interesting to walk out in nature and ‘feel’ the elements of the Astrological signs. When the Moon resides in earth signs, how does it feel? Earthy? Energetically slower and denser than when it is in an air or fire sign? Check out the weather when the Moon is in fire signs – especially during the summer months – there can be a dry spell of no rain with a chance of fire somewhere in the forests (especially during drought periods). The Moon in air signs seems to bring with it wind…

Lunar Eclipse of 2015-09-27 (Blood Moon 4 of 4)

Lunar Eclipse of 2015-09-27 (Blood Moon 4 of 4)

While the religious fervor is nearing fever pitch, this lunar eclipse (full moon) looks relatively uninteresting.  However, it IS an eclipse, and those are always strong punctuation marks to astrologers.  Also: we note that this occurs 9/28 in UK/EU and that part of the world.

We independently arrive at essentially the same conclusions, and completely agree with the analysis done by, Armstrong Economics: this Blood Moon is not “The End of the World as We Know It” but it does likely signal a major “shift in trend.”

As far as regular patterns go, only an ongoing kite pattern colors this particular eclipse:

2015-09-27 Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon, Blood Moon 4 of 4, Kite)[Click Image to Enlarge]

However, the chart does contain a fair amount of 5th harmonic activity (some of it interesting) and 7th harmonic activity .  We present the chart filtered for 5th harmonic aspects (quintiles and biquintiles) first, noting a pattern similar to a yod (but composed of biquintiles instead of quincunxes):

2015-09-27 Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon, Blood Moon 4 of 4, 5th Harmonic)[Click Image to Enlarge]

Mars (physical energy, sometimes war and violence) is connected to biquintiles to Ceres (feast/famine) and Vesta (tradition, but sometimes weird sex).  Ceres and Vesta are connected by a quintile.  All of this is about insights and novel ideas (think Mozart) about combining these three areas, and perhaps a choice between the Ceres issues (feast / famine) and Vesta issues (traditions and rituals), similar to a Yod.

A similar situation exists with 7th Harmonic aspects (“karma”):

2015-09-27 Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon, Blood Moon 4 of 4, 7th Harmonic)[Click Image to Enlarge]

Here we have Venus (love, beauty, money) at the apex, and Chiron (healing and teaching) on one leg and Ceres on the other.  Resolving “karma” involving these three is the core issue here.

So, if we see any issues from this eclipse, we suspect that they will deal with decisions that involve these higher order aspects.  A decision appears to be present: whether to stick with tradition (Vesta, doing things the way we have always done them) or taking a risk (Ceres, feast or famine).  I note that some people will end a relationship at this time (Ceres, the risk of feast or famine) while others will continue with what they know despite some dissatisfaction (Vesta, sticking with what we know).

Some have said that the unrest in Syria (arguably a civil war) IS central to the message for all of us at this time.  Chances are good that we will only be able to see that more fully in hindsight.  (Do note the 7th harmonic (karma) pattern similar to a Yod that appears to offer us a decision.)  We have some other observations about this eclipse posted on our sibling site Mystic Rectangles.

Here is the chart for the upcoming Full Moon, which is also an eclipse.  (Eclipses come in pairs, and they are linked together in “families” of eclipses that are known are “series.”)

This is the Solar Fire 7 “Beginners Chart” version of the November 2012 Full Moon, which is also an “appulse lunar eclipse.” It is set in Plano, Texas

After a bit of thought, it came to me that this is the last Full Moon prior to the Winter’s Solstice.  If you have an interest in the Mayan calendar (the “long count”), then this is a particularly important Full Moon for you.

As described below, this FM is characterized by multiple yods.  Yods involve linked quincunxes that represent decisions and decision making.  This FM is about a huge fork in the road for all of us.  The decisions made at this time will affect us for many years to come.

As you can tell, we cannot see the eclipse from our vantage point in Plano.  As previously, we have the U.S. map here.

I find interesting that the Moon & Chiron form a “Thor’s Hammer” with the Midheaven in New York City shortly before time of the Full Moon:

Since it is two planets aspecting the Midheaven, I do not believe that we will see the intensity with this TH that happens with some of the others.  (Perhaps someone can identify where the Thor’s Hammer occurs in exact aspect with the Midheaven at the time of culmination the the Full Moon.  It is somewhere other than NYC.)

What interests me more is the Thor’s Hammer of November 30th.  Placing Mercury at Midheaven creates an alignment on top of the Mississippi river, highlighting that the problem there may worsen.  (If barge traffic is interrupted, this will affect the entire nation and perhaps the global economy.  The purple line in the Solar Map, below, is Mercury (transportation), and it aligns on top of Vicksburg, MS at this time.  Vicksburg is an important point with regard to river traffic.)

Here is the chart (set at Vicksburg).

This chart (above) speaks for itself. For those who are new to reading charts:

(1) Mars (violence) & Pluto (death) in the 12th house of Self-Deception and Self-Undoing.  (Also: 12th house = Pisces = flowing water.)  Very unfavorable.

(2)  Neptune (= 12th = Pisces) & Chiron (healing & things needing to be healed) in 1st house (and Pisces, as they will be for years).

(3) Uranus (surprise / accidents / disruptions) in 2nd house of finances.

This analysis falls into the category of “things I hope I am wrong about.”  (Food for millions flows on the barge traffic of the Mississippi river.  Of course, we can use trucks for that traffic.  But, prices would rise significantly.)

Here is a list of patterns, generated by Planetary Aspects and Transits (PAT):

First of all, noting how many yods are associated with this Full Moon, we suggest that this is a period of important, and major, decisions for many people.  No matter which choice is made, people will sense some disappointment about the option not followed.  This period will be viewed with nostalgia by many in the years to come.
