Full Moon 2021-03-28 (Libra Moon opposite Aries Sun)

This is the first full moon after the Vernal Equinox, and it precedes Easter on April 5, 2021.

This FM has interesting activity:

  • Hard Rectangle : like a Thor’s Hammer, tempers flare BUT an amazing amount of work can be accomplished if the energy can be focused into accomplishment
  • Yod : We each face a decision of some kind, individually (based on your chart) and collectively (because of the Hele); it is a difficult decision, and it risks upsets or accidents or ambushes or wrong decisions (given the Hard Rectangle) that lead to conflict (fights, battles, wars); The Moon is at apex of the yod (the “focal” energy) with Uranus (surprises, electrical shocks, explosions, ambushes, sometimes brilliant mental insight and solutions) on one leg and asteroid Pallas (also brilliant mental insight and solutions but they tend to be “military” in nature given that Pallas sprang fully formed and armored from the head of her father (Zeus / Jupiter / Thor, depending on whose pantheon you have adopted). Both solutions are “close” and similar but NOT the same.  Though Solar Fire did not read it this way, this is a FOCUSED Yod with the Moon at Apex and Sun / Chiron / Venus conjunct at the Focal Point (and opposite the Moon).  *IF* properly focused, again, you can accomplish MUCH, some of it of a breakthrough nature.
  • Kite or “Kite Almost” : opportunities are present; this is “luck” for some
  • Hele : in some form these have been present for weeks; it is all about politics and political alignments; cohesion within parties is strong; conflict is public; expect our current messes to WORSEN rather than needed fixes be applied
  • Grand Trines : the aspect for which this blog is named; these tend to make for “easy” times but the Hard Rectangle will override that; in that case, again, these can be “luck” if the energy of the times is properly focused; (look for opportunities; they WILL be present!)
  • T-Squares : T-Squares seem to always be present; these are associated at least in part with recent the recent Grand Cross and associated tragedies; a push will exist to “get things done” but the question becomes : “what does that mean?”  Wrong solutions are tempting if they are “easy.”(Don’t take “the easy way out.”  Work through your own issues instead of expecting a scapegoat.)

Charts filtered for the patterns follow.

Jupiter Quincunx Neptune 2016-10-23 (Focused Yod + Thor’s Hammer)

Jupiter Quincunx Neptune 2016-10-23 (Focused Yod + Thor’s Hammer)

As we have written elsewhere, this is part of a larger pattern that we  detailed in August of 2014 and, arguably, extends back to 2012, including the notorious Winter Solstice of 2012.  We thought that the Focused Yod in the Winter Solstice of 2012 was the most important characteristic, along with a Diamond pattern that manifested later that evening.

Perfection of this occurrence of Jupiter quincunx Neptune also contains a Yod, and if you are willing to use the Nodes (lunar nodes, “Ketu” and “Rahu”) then a Focused Yod is also present here.  We also have an additional analysis of this aspect located here in our Week 44 Forecast for 2016.

First, perfection of the aspect filtered for the Yod:

2016-10-23-jupiter-quincunx-neptune-yod

We note that Neptune (Pisces) is at the apex with Jupiter (Libra) on one leg and the Moon (Leo) on the other.  By itself, this Yod tells us that we face a decision, and it is a major decision.  When we add the Nodes, we have a Focused Yod:

2016-10-23-jupiter-quincunx-neptune-focused-yod

So, in addition to facing a “big decision,” we know we are dealing with our individual and collective fates / karma (the Nodes).  Chances are good that we are dealing with issues of service to others, jails, institutions, or acts of “self-undoing.”  Health issues or spiritual matters may be at the forefront also.

A pair of overlapping Thor’s Hammers (God’s Fists) are also present:

2016-10-23-jupiter-quincunx-neptune-thors-hammers

These tell us that danger, real danger, exists as tempers flare and the potential for people, places, and things to go “boom.”  Note that this is following only a few days after perfection of Mars conjunct Pluto, perfecting recently on October 19th.  If you can focus this energy and the related emotions, then you can accomplish much.

We have a modest amount of 5th Harmonic activity, but do not see a coherent pattern in these aspects:

2016-10-23-jupiter-quincunx-neptune-5th-harmonic

So, some potential for bright ideas and inventions exists.  But what is more interesting is a triangular pattern of 7th order harmonic aspects:

2016-10-23-jupiter-quincunx-neptune-7th-harmonic

Moon (Leo), Pluto (Capricorn), and Ceres (Aries) form this triangular pattern.  Mars is two degrees away from Pluto, and Uranus is five degrees away from Ceres.  Pluto and Ceres have a well known history, the story being that Pluto had Ceres (prosperity, food) below ground for about half of the year (a period of fasting and famine) and Ceres was above ground for half the year (a period of food and feasting).  Halloween / Samhain marked the start of Fall, reputedly, in Celtic cultures so this set of issues seems somehow appropriate in a metaphoric sense.

We think issues of prosperity / feast / famine will face some (or many) of us at this time.  It may be telling us something important about this United States Presidential election and what will be coming afterwards.  What may be unclear at this time will be perfectly clear by the period from next April to August (with perfection of this aspect again in May and July).

The last time we had a similar series of aspects was 2004.  The next time will be 2027.  While they are not a “once a century” kind of rare aspect, they are not particularly frequent either.

Sun Enters Aries (Vernal Equinox) 2016-03-19 (Focused Yod)

Sun Enters Aries (Vernal Equinox) 2016-03-19

The Vernal Equinox occurs March 19th in most of the United States and March 20th in UK / Europe.  (Click here for more about the change of seasons in 2016.)  We have a Focused Yod present.  (For more about Focused Yods in 2016, click here.)  That pattern requires you to make a decision (choose wisely!) but also gives you the power to “get things done” once you have made that decision.  That pattern occurring at this time will give you both a similar requirement and a similar advantage until at least the Summer Solstice and possibly as long as the Vernal Equinox in 2017.

Here is the chart for the Vernal Equinox of 2016, filtered for the Focused Yod:

Beginner’s Version of exact same chart with same filtering:

Other patterns are also present, including a Hele and a Square Key.  For more about Hele patterns in 2016, click here.  For more about Square Keys in 2016, click here.

Here is the same chart filtered for the Hele, an ongoing pattern at this time that contains Uranus, Pluto, Astraea, and the North Node (also known as Rahu, sometimes called “hard karma,” and a point in space rather than a physical planet).  You are making decisions about who will be your long term alliances this month, and that continues to be an important issue today:

Sun Enters Aries (Vernal Equinox) 2016-03-19 (Hele)

The ongoing Square Key also tells us that you will be learning important “lessons” at this time.  Saturn, Uranus, Pluto, and the North Node are involved, so the “lessons” could be a bit harsh at times.  If you survive them, you will have new ideas, be fundamentally transformed in some way, and be aware of what is essential.

Here is the chart for the ongoing (longer term) Square Key:

Sun Enters Aries (Vernal Equinox) 2016-03-19 (Square Key)

As we have written elsewhere, higher order aspects with outer planets are also in play today.  (These also tend to be “longer term.”)  For your convenience we will present some of that analysis here (but click the link if you want more):

Sun biseptiles Saturn, and we should consider resolving some old karma or helping someone less fortunate than ourselves or both.  Sun quintiles Pluto, and we may encounter a very ingenious idea that either (a) helps us with the biseptiles (helping someone else) or (b) gives us a gift in the form of a smart idea that comes from providing said help.  Venus is also novile Uranus today, providing us with an important insight or skill.  [click here to read more]

A Grand Fire Trine is also present today (today only), and that tells us that we face an opportunity (particularly strong if you are heavy in your personal chart with Fire / Air signs).  Here is the same chart filtered for the Grand Fire Trine:

Jupiter Trine Pluto 2016-03-16

First, we encourage you to review the upcoming perfection of Jupiter Square Saturn.  Second, we encourage you to review Jupiter Trine Pluto 2015-10-11 and review your notes from that time period.

Next, we note we are discussing Jupiter trine Pluto, and we need to point out that this is a LONG TERM ASPECT.  If you are in the habit of checking the newspaper or website for your “forecast today,” a fortune cookie of sorts, then you likely will NOT understand this.  This REQUIRES a long-term point of view.

Notice that this aspect (Jupiter Trine Pluto) has been in play since January 23rd, will perfect again June 26th without losing any influence, and move out of influence July 29th.  It will come into influence again shortly before the election and continue past the United States Presidential Inauguration in 2017.

What does this configuration mean?  For some people, it brings tremendous opportunity, particularly when any planet (notably Moon or Sun) enters Taurus during this window to for a Grand Earth Trine (this happens several times, notably a period in late April / early May).  We also note that Jupiter Square Saturn may bring some shakeups, particularly in the financial markets, and we will see both “big winners” and “big losers” emerge from this.

First, we present chart of the perfection of Jupiter Trine Pluto filtered for trines:

Looks like TWO Grand Trines might be hidden amongst all those trines:

There are two grand trines!  We see two possible opportunities.  While we might can take advantage of both of them (maybe), is one better than the other?

Yes!  One of them is part of a Kite, a relatively rare aspect that is a sign of a superb opportunity:

The Astraea / Uranus / Saturn fire trine is the better opportunity, though Saturn tells us that we will have to work (and maybe make sacrifices, give up something), Uranus tells us to expect surprises and requires changes and innovations, and Astraea tells us that this will likely involve the law and legal system.

We can pick the Moon / Neptune / Juno trine, but that can involve deceit (Neptune) and being on the wrong end of betrayal (Juno).  That is challenging, but keep in mind that grand water trines (such as this one) tend to bring in money.  And, again, both opportunities MIGHT can be combined.

You will have to form alliances to get the job done.  The presence of a Hele tells us this:

Particularly with the grand fire trine / kite, you will need to form an alliance, or alliances, to get the job done.  This is a longer term pattern

Worth noting is the presence of overlapping Square Keys (interlaced Huber Learning Triangles) and the lessons they bring:

Among other things, this period (March 2016) seems to be about “learning lessons.”

Finally, overlapping Focused Yods tell us you can achieve the focus needed to “get things done” but you must make a decision, foregoing an option and choosing one to focus upon.  Push through until you complete the task or project or at least make it to the most important milestone.

We show the (same) chart, filtered for Focused Yods:

Wondering when you will see this aspect again (or have seen it before)?   (It is comparatively rare.  After June, we will not see it again until 2024.)

Diamond Pattern (and more) 2016-03-14

Diamond Pattern (and more) 2016-03-14

As we have said elsewhere: “International Math Day, Pi Day, or Einstein’s Birthday: take your pick.  (“All of the above” is the right answer here.)  Informally, the Moon forms a very loose grand cross with an opposition to Saturn and squares to Neptune and Jupiter.  You will either accomplish much or nothing at all.  (No in-betweens on this one.)”

But we also have a Diamond Pattern today, and these are uncommon.  We have five of these in 2016, and one begins today.  This reminds us of the Focused Yod and Diamond that occurred a few hours after the Winters Solstice 2012 (aka “The End of the World”).

Today is so heavily patterned and sophisticated that, arguably, it might be easier to list what is NOT present today: Star of David variants, Quintile Kites, Grand Quintiles, Mystic Rectangles, Hard Rectangles, Double Yod Keys, or Stretched Pentagrams.  Everything else we discuss (Everything!) is present on this date!  The Grand Cross tells us some people may accomplish nothing.  But, those that do, if they are properly focused, can accomplish amazing things.  For some, maybe many, today is a turning point.

We also note that March 16th will have a Grand Quintile, and March 23rd has a Hard Rectangle.

Here is the chart for entry to the Diamond pattern:

Moon is at the apex and during the Diamond soon perfects an opposition to Saturn.  “Things” are not “easy,” and they require work for accomplishment.  But, the Diamond tells us important accomplishments can be had today.  And, more is in play.

TWO Square Keys are in play, meaning FOUR Huber Learning Triangles, and we can learn a number of important and sophisticated lessons today.  Pay attention, BIG things are happening now.

Here is the same chart, filtered for those patterns:

Two Hele patterns are present and interlaced, making what we calla “Hele Key.”  This is indicative of the formation of critically important alliances, a minimum of two but this pattern tells us there may be more.  You may have important meetings, or at least email and phone calls, that need to go to certain people to form critically important alliances.

Here is the same chart, filtered for those patterns:

Diamond Pattern 2016-03-14 MON (Hele Key)

A Rosetta is present, warning us to be careful about who we invite inside to our alliances.  A temporary alliance may contain those who will ultimately betray us.  Choose your “friends” carefully today.

Here is the same chart, filtered for the Rosetta pattern:

A Focused Yod is also present, and it tells us where we can accomplish the most.

Here is the same chart, filtered for the Focused Yod:

Diamond Pattern 2016-03-14 MON (Focused Yod)

We also have a Kite, known well for the “good luck” in brings.  This also confirms that we can not only accomplish much today, and we can obtain good results.

Here is the same chart, filtered for the Kite:

Here is the Grand Cross we have mentioned.  As we have mentioned before, some will accomplish much, maybe truly amazing things.  Others will accomplish nothing.

Here is the same chart (again!), filtered for the Grand Cross:

Diamond Pattern 2016-03-14 (Grand Cross)

Regarding the Grand Cross, mutables are affected the most.  That means Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces will be affected most.

Finally, we mention Yods (not just the Focused Yod).  We have several of them, and this indicates that multiple decisions are present today.  Given the power of these energies, we recommend that you choose well.

Here is this same chart (again!), filtered specifically for Yods:

Diamond Pattern 2016-03-14 MON (Yods)

We do not discuss the Grand Trine present because it is part of the Kite.  We do not discuss the multiple T-Squares present because they are part of the Grand Cross.

Here is a list of Diamond Patterns from 2010 to 2040.

New Moon 2016-02-08 (Chinese New Year Fire Monkey) Double Yod Key + Focused Yod

New Moon 2016-02-08 (Chinese New Year Fire Monkey) Double Yod Key + Focused Yod

2016 is an “interesting” year from the perspective of astrological patterns, and we are beginning to enter what many will look back to, and consider, a magical time.  Upcoming is a Valentine’s Day period (the days before and after February 14th as well as the day itself), and this New Moon sets the stage for that intricate set of pattern.

This New Moon marks the Chinese New Year and the beginning of the year of the Fire Monkey.  As is true with any element / animal combination of Chinese New Years, this particular combination will not repeat again for sixty years.  Since we are not specialists in Chinese Astrology, we will not discuss that further here but encourage you to read more elsewhere:

This particular New Moon (as is true with all Chinese New Year NM’s that I am aware of) is in Aquarius.  That marks the beginning of a new way of thinking and new insights that precede the dreams and intuitions of Pisces that set the stage for the beginning of an entirely new (Solar) cycle (namely the Vernal Equinox, the beginning of Aries).

Aquarius is all about creative problem solving but, in the end, it is about people and reaching out to the masses to (hopefully) improve their way of life.  Thus the association of Aquarius with electronics, internet, computers, cell phones, and tablets is really subservient to carrying “the message” (whatever that may be) on “the wind” (originally the mysterious phenomena of voices that traveled for, literally, miles when the weather conditions were correct but now radio (including satellite) and other electronic channels) to the masses (all of us regardless of station in life).

That said, from the perspective of astrological patterns, this NM is about DECISIONS.  TWO (and only two) patterns are present: (1) a Double Yod Key; and (2) a Focused Yod.  In this particular case, what we have is (1) a question (many of them, actually), and (2) an Answer (maybe “THE” answer).

If you are a regular reader of this blog, or click the DYK tag above, you can read what we have written about DYK’s before.  They represent a situation in which a minimum of two decisions, and often a number of decisions, face us.  Composed of two yods and a square, the DYK’s decompose into a total of four quincunx aspects.  The Quincunx is all about misunderstandings resulting from limited information often under unfamiliar circumstances with deadline pressure.  Invariably we are dissatisfied with the path we chose and look back on the other path nostalgically (not realizing that it might have been actually much worse).

We now present the chart for the perfection of this New Moon (NM), filtered for the DYK pattern:

We note that the square that binds this DYK together is between, on one hand, the NM pair (Sun/Moon) at 19 Aquarius and Mars at 18 Scorpio.  Neither Sun nor Moon is strong in Aquarius (the sign associated with Uranus in modern astrology and one of two signs (the other is Capricorn) in traditional astrology).  Both are at a disadvantage here, but they CAN gain SOME power by the coalition they have chosen to form (the NM).

Mars is at home in Scorpio (in traditional astrology, along with Aries, the true home of Mars).  We note that the modern ruler of Scorpio is Pluto, currently in Capricorn (power structures in general but notably banks and financial institutions).  The ruler of Capricorn is in Sagittarius currently, not a strong placement for that planet.

Scorpio tends to”govern” (or be associated with) police, intelligence agencies, surveillance, encryption, assasinations, murder, poisons, drugs (both illegal and pharma), and any variant of the “underworld” (organized crime, mafia, sewers, underground pipes, coffins underground, caves, cave-ins, burials and funerals, pyramids or any other form of crypt, root plants (carrots and potatoes) and anything else similar).  Your individual situation dictates which of these apply to you individually, and the same applies to us collectively in communities, states, and nations.  We add that, at the state and nation level, this TENDS to be about police and intelligence agencies.

The hint of this situation is that Mars and Sun/Moon are currently balanced and in a bit of a “stand off” where neither can win despite the current strength of Mars and weakness of Sun/Moon.  Again, you will have to look at your individual situation to determine who might be the “winner” if anyone.

We could stop here, and many people would have much useful information to know how to procede on Monday.  (Make certain you “clean house” on Sunday during the void and avoid any major purchases or major commitments.  This is a very bad Super Bowl for some people to gamble upon; just don’t do it this time.)  But, as is popularly spoken on late night television: “But wait, there’s more!”

And, there is more.  That is because we have the Focused Yod which given that ONLY the DYK is present as an alternative pattern (and “The Question”), we can see that the FY gives us “The Answer” if we are paying close attention.

With that, we present the SAME CHART for the perfection of the NM, but filtered for the Focused Yod:

So, a bit weirdly (but, again, this is Aquarius), the answer is not found in Mars / Sun / Moon at all.  It is found in a Jupiter / Chiron opposition.  And, the interactions with Mars may be a distraction, noise that is not relevant at all to the long term “big picture” though it may seem compelling at the time.

An example of this could be a traffic ticket where you must go to court.  You may need a lawyer, and if you do not take care of the matter you could be in serious trouble in the future.  But, it is mostly a nuisance (in many cases it is really a tax on behavior that is not quite “perfect”), and in the long run in it contributes nothing to your well being, growth as a person, or ability to contribute in a useful way to society at large (Aquarius, again).  Despite the power involved and compelling demands, it is mostly a waste of time.  So, whatever it is, make a sufficient (but no more) effort to resolve it and move on with the more critically important issues.

What are the “more important issues”?  First, they involve Jupiter (foreign or long distance travel, religions in general and popes and gurus in particular, law and lawyers and courts, and universities and higher education), and they involve a decision between Vesta (usually tradition but sometimes kinky sex or prostitution) and Sun/Moon (mother + father; a married couple; or any other male / female pair).  Jupiter is also very much about earning and spending money, and it tends to do this in a big way.

Chiron is really a different face of Jupiter, more specific and more narrow.  In traditional astrology, Jupiter also ruled health, disease, and healthcare.  (Arguably it does in modern astrology as well, but Neptune / Pisces is more directly associated with that set of issues.)  That said, Chiron is a more narrow subset of the Jupiter issues: primarily teaching of any kind (including higher education) and health and healthcare.  Obviously combinations apply: the teaching of healthcare to nurses and physicians is a particularly Chironic kind of activity and Chiron would tend to trump either Jupiter or Neptune in this area if a disagreement (square, quincunx) occurred.  We also note that Chiron is known as the “Wounded Healer” and is associated with the teacher (or practitioner) trying to heal some problem within themselves.  And, Chiron specifically deals with “mentor” relationships.

So, how to interpret this?  We will provide two scenarios to illustrate.  Consider for example, that you live in the United States and have received an offer to study (education = Chiron) in China (or vice versa).  Regardless of which choice you make you will likely need to spend much money (Jupiter) and travel to a foreign land (also Jupiter).  If you do choose to travel, you may have to deal with certain legal issues (also Jupiter).  In particular, your desire is to become a nurse or physician (or accupuncturist) (very Chiron).  A rather progressive couple (Sun/Moon in Aquarius) has agreed to host you in the foreign country, and their offer seems particularly attractive.  But, staying home and following a traditional path (Vesta) has much appeal as well.  That path has less risk, but also represents less gain.  Which decision will you make?

Here is a totally different scenario.  You have been ill for some time (Chiron) and are exploring healing options (Chiron).  Either one will cost quite a bit of money (Jupiter) and one of the options requires that you travel to a distant (Jupiter) healthcare center, a teaching (Jupiter) facility that engages in a number of innovative healthcare procedures (NM Aquarius).  The travel and accomodations (Jupter) will be expensive, and some of the treatments you may have to pay for yourself (also expensive and Jupiter).  The other option involves going to the hospital near home that everyone else goes to (Vesta).  That is cheaper, but you know that the doctors are not very progressive and are worried that your health may deteriorate if you choose that option.

Which of these more closely fits your situation?  Keep in mind that Aquarius tells us the answer might be “neither,” and it then becomes your job to take these ideas and be responsible for crafting your own solution.

But, whatever choice you make, this New Moon represents a profound opportunity for some people.

2015-11-08 Focused Yod: A Chance to Get Things Done

2015-11-08 Focused Yod: A Chance to Get Things Done

Sunday, November 8th is dominated by a Focused Yod that tells us that this is a day when we can “get things done.”  A higher order Mars / Uranus Quadrinovile tells us that if we can change our perspective on something that is an annoyance or a problem that we can develop an important new skill, possibly several (related) important new skills.  Venus biseptile Pluto highlights a set of karmic issues involving other people (possibly “other people’s money” issues like taxes or inheritances) and tells us that we must attend to the necessary duties and obligations that face us.

Moon is at the apex of the Focused Yod and in opposition to Uranus.  This highlights the issue of surprises and resulting insights.  And yods always involves decisions, so you will choose one path and forego the other.  You cannot have both.

Here is the chart, focused for the beginning of the Focused Yod period:

Check your priorities and focus on the critically important ones.  You will have stops and starts this week, but if you persist you can “get things done” and accomplish meaningful and lasting results in important areas.

Aspect Patterns for November 2015 and December 2015

For both your convenience and ours, we are providing our aspect pattern analysis for the final two months of 2015 (November 2015 and December 2015).

First, this sixty two (62) day period does not contain any of the following patterns (excluding the use of minor asteroids, Transneptunians, and so forth):

  • Quintile Kite
  • Grand Quintile
  • Diamond
  • Stretched Pentagram
  • Stellium (5 point)
  • Star of David
  • Star of David (Almost)

This search was performed with Solar Fire 7, and the results of other programs and settings may provide differing results.  Also, combining both Natal positions and transiting positions can identify patterns that apply in a particular person’s life.  (Consult a suitably trained astrologer for such guidance.)

We did find the following patterns:
  • T-Squares
  • Grand Trines
  • Yods (includes Focused Yods, list again later)
  • Thor’s Hammer (aka God’s Fist)
  • Grand Cross
  • Kite
  • Kite Almost (1)
  • Kite Almost (2)
  • Mystic Rectangle
  • Hard Rectangle
  • Focused Yod
  • Rosetta
  • Hele
  • Double Yod Key
  • Square Key
  • 4 Point Stellium
We apologize for the readability issue associated with the lists that follow.  We have tried several approaches to embed blank lines to improve readability, however we are unable to obtain a suitable solution within WordPress.
The details associated with the patterns we found are presented next:

Mars Quincunx Uranus 2015-10-23 (Focused Yod)

Mars Quincunx Uranus 2015-10-23 (Focused Yod)

This is the last of a series of aspects that perfect on Friday, October 23rd in the United States.  (In EU/UK this perfects early on Saturday before but near sunrise when many people are still asleep.)

The Hele and Thor’s Hammer are still in effect with the perfection of this outer planet aspect (meaning we have been feeling its effect all week and maybe for the last two or three weeks), but at perfection a Focused Yod also comes into play with the Moon in Pisces at the Apex opposing Venus in Virgo.  That means that “things come to a head” by the end of Friday (in the U.S., early AM in UK/EU), and a decision must be made and acted upon.

The “decision” in this Focused Yod is between Astraea (law, legal, legal system) and Juno (trust and betrayal).  For some people, the question will be “do I file suit” or “do I file for divorce” or something similar.

Here is the chart, filtered for the Focused Yod:

2015-10-23 Mars Quincunx Uranus

Keep in mind a few things:

  • Mars / Uranus aspects tend to be violent and sometimes produce explosions (we might see a terrible event on Thursday / Friday / Saturday)
  • This is an outer planet (generational planet) aspect and rules more than just this single day.  At a minimum, it influences the week before and the week after perfection
  • This is a Quincunx.  These key issues cannot be fully resolved at this time.  (That requires an opposition or conjunction, typically.)

We may see pivotal events in Syria on (or near) this day.

Jupiter Trine Pluto 2015-10-11 (Focused Yod)

Jupiter Trine Pluto 2015-10-11 (Focused Yod)

Update: You may also be interested in reading Jupiter Trine Pluto 2016-03-16.

Sunday, October 11th Jupiter trines Pluto.  (This may occur on October 12th in some parts of the EU.)  This aspect only occurs twice in a twelve year period, and it tends to be an aspect that CAN be fortuitous involving “other people’s money.”  It is associated with taxes, wills, and inheritances.  This one contains a Focused Yod, and that implies “you will have to work for it.”

The apex of the FY is at Neptune in Pisces (poetry, lyrics, photography and video but also deception, criminality, drugs, alcohol, and incarceration) and is opposed by Hygeia in Virgo (health, hospitals, nurses, accountants, all with a relentless push for perfection).  One leg of the Yod has a very old Moon in Libra (relationships, and a time for cleaning and clearing out what no longer works) and the other is Astraea in Leo (law, legal, and justice).

Here is the chart, filtered for the Focused Yod:

Jupiter Trine Pluto 2015-10-11 (Focused Yod)

In addition to the FY, the perfection of this aspect contains significant 7th Harmonic (Karmic) activity.  In particular, a triangular pattern exists with a septile, biseptile, and triseptile in a form that we typically describe as a “7th Harmonic Learning Triangle.”  That means that you will have to work through some fair amount of “Karma” to access the benefit to be had in this FY.

Here is the chart, filtered for 7th Harmonic aspects:

Jupiter Trine Pluto 2015-10-11 (7th Harmonic)

The 7th Harmonic Learning Triangle involves Pluto (death, taxes, and inheritances), Astraea (law, legal, and justice), and the North Node (Karma and “hard work”).

Focused Yod (Moon Opp Mars) 2015-09-25

We see a focused yod covering most of the day on September 25th of 2015, starting with the Moon v/c in Aquarius and culminating with the perfection of Moon opposite Mars, Moon in Pisces and Mars in Virgo.  The Virgo / Pisces theme that we have seen for most of the month of September effectively culminates here before we face the “Blood Moon” of September 27th.  With that eclipse, we will more clearly move into Aries / Libra issues.

Here is the chart for Moon opposite Mars, filtered for the Focused Yod:

2015-09-25 Focused Yod (Moon Opp Mars)

Needless to say, this Focused Yod is about “getting things done” on this Friday and closing the books on certain key issues.  Yesterday we had Pluto move Direct and Mercury (retrograde) square Pluto.  A sense of urgency to complete certain tasks faces us now.  Some things are already different with the advent of the equinox; this will only be more true next week after the eclipse.

We have searched and found the following set of patterns for September 2015:

  • Some T-Squares (to be discussed separately; tend to be long term aspects here)
  • No Grand Trines (other than those in the Kites)
  • A number of Yods (to be discussed separately)
  • A number of Thor’s Hammers (listed below)
  • Two Grand Crosses (listed below; early in the month)
  • A Number of Kites (listed below; this very FORTUNATE aspect tends to dominate most of September)
  • Two “Mystic Rectangles” (listed below; later in the month; probably important days)
  • No “Hard Rectangles”
  • Two “Focused Yods” (listed below; probably points of important decisions)
  • A Number of Rosetta patterns (listed below; dominate the early part of the month)
  • A Number of Hele patterns (listed below; dominate the later part of the month)
  • No Double Yod Keys
  • A Number of “Square Keys” (listed below)
  • One “Quintile Kite” on September 17th
  • No “Grand Quintiles”
  • No “Diamonds”
  • No “Stretched Pentagrams”
  • No “Star of David” patterns

If you are a regular reader of this blog (or use the “tags” to research the nature of these patterns), you can roughly construct a “day planner” to adjust to these patterns.  For select patterns and days we will likely post charts and analysis.  We will also reblog posts by other astrologers that discuss these patterns.

Focused Yod 2015-08-19

This is a day where you can get something done.  The best use of the energy involves communications (and maybe transportation) involving healing and healing issues.  Mercury (communications and transportation) opposite Chiron (healing and teaching) form the axis of this FY.  Mercury opposite Chiron has not yet fully perfected (that happens the next day, on the 20th), so you may not obtain full resolution just yet.  However, accomplish as much as you can.

Here is the chart:

It is the only window of its kind this month, so be careful not to waste it.  And note that an important decision is part of this process.

Mars Square Uranus 2015-07-25 with a Focused Yod

2015-07-25 Mars Square Uranus

This is a particularly DANGEROUS aspect.  Accidents, violence, and explosions tend to be associated with Mars Square Uranus.  Even if these things do not come to pass this weekend, the Mars Trine Chiron aspect that perfects the following day (on Sunday) shows that “hurt feelings” will emerge from angry words.  (And, this could be more than hurt feelings.  Physical injury or even death is a real possibility.)

We emphasize patterns, and the one that leaps out is a Focused Yod: you have a critically important decision to make this weekend.  It will determine whether you have feast or famine in the coming months and possibly even for the next year.  As we frequently say, choose wisely.

Here is the chart of the Mars Square Uranus aspect perfecting, filtered for the Focused Yod:

2015-07-25 Mars Square Uranus (Focused Yod)

Issues with alliances and allegiances continue.  Both a Hele (polarization into long term alliances) and a Rosetta (short term allegiance that may include treachery) are also present.

First the Hele:

2015-07-25 Mars Square Uranus (Hele)

Next, the Rosetta:

2015-07-25 Mars Square Uranus (Rosetta)

Finally, we see the possibility of some opportunities in Grand Trines that are rather loose (weak):

2015-07-25 Mars Square Uranus (Grand Trines)

But, a powerful T-Square will motivate you to make a decision and take action:

2015-07-25 Mars Square Uranus (T-Square)

This T-Square (Juno opposite Neptune, both squared by Pallas) is all about trust and healing issues and obtaining an important insight related to those.

Again, Mars will trine Chiron on Sunday, so be careful not to say or do anything that wounds the one(s) you love most.  Diplomacy!  (And, an educational opportunity may be about to open as well!)

Double Yod Key and other patterns of late April and early May of 2015

April 26, 2015 at 9:34 pm | Posted in 2015, Astrology, Patterns | 2 Comments
Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

The days from April 26th through May 1st of 2015 are pattern rich.  We will likely also discuss more patterns that will occur in early May in another post that covers patterns after May 1st.

We begin with the Double Yod Key (DYK) that starts April 26th and continues through May 1st. This is one of the “longer acting” patterns of this period (we are looking at primarily April 28th through May 1st with some patterns extending on each side of that range).  It colors all of the other patterns we will subsequently discuss.

DYK 2015-04-26 to 05-01

That pattern tells us that, once again, we are in a pattern of making important decisions. However, as we will note momentarily, this period is about more than decisions. This period is also about action.

A Hele is in play from April 27th to April 29th, and that tells us that people will tend to polarize on issues and form coalitions:

Hele 2015-04-27 to 04-29

Next, we present the Focused Yod of April 28th. April 28th is an important day on which many people can ‘get things done” and will have certain opportunities open to them. The Focused Yod tells us that you will need to make a decision and then take action to “get things done.”

Focused Yod 2015-04-28

April 28th contains two grand trines. These present days where things might feel so good that we let the golden opportunity breeze by us. Don’t make that mistake. Keep your eyes open.

A mystic rectangle is also present on April 28th. This one tells us to take notice of health care issues and to take care of those problems. Identify them, knock them out, and move forward.

Things change on April 29th as a Thor’s Hammer (God’s Fist) comes into play. This provides plenty of energy and an urge to get things done, but be careful not to become angry and do something rash:

A Quintile Kite from April 30th to May 3rd tells us that this is a period where we can be productive in terms of creativity. At least write down the ideas, and better yet develop them to fruition.

Another Mystic Rectangle on April 30th presents issues involving trust and possibly the food supply:

May 1st things become dicey. A Grand Cross tells us to watch our tempers but, again, gives us energy to get things done.

A hard rectangle is in play and amplifies the Grand Cross

Furthermore, another Thor’s Hammer on May 1st contributes EVEN MORE to the instability of the day:

A “Kite Almost” does present us with an opportunity on May 1st. We will have to act quickly yet keep our head.
