We can make it through this.  But the stellium in Capricorn tells us, to quote Ringo Starr, “It don’t come easy.”

In Sun Conjunct Chiron 2020-03-25 we presented a detailed analysis of the Sun/Chiron aspect of March 25th 2020.  Some readers may want less detail, and we provide here an abstract.  What do the signs of the sky tell us at this moment?

Sun conjunct Chiron happens annually, shifting each year until it is in a new sign after several years.  Chiron stays in Aries until June of 2026, so we will see different versions of these lessons repeat through 2026.

No obvious patterns are present in this chart.  The meaning is not obvious. We have to “dig deeper” with this chart to find the messages of the moment.

Sun/Chiron is semisquare Ceres.  That aspect tells us what we already know: Sun (our life in general) combined with healing issues (Chiron) is in a conflict with issues of Ceres, meaning “feast and famine.”  Many of us are worried about the basics as the fears related to the Covid19 pandemic take root.

Regarding the conflict between Venus and Ceres (square): in the abstract sense the issue is the financial markets and “liquidity.” In the practical sense: supply chains and, more specifically, FOOD.

Sun Conjunct Chiron (2020-03 Sun Aspects)

How do we know this?  The mythology associated with the celestial objects gives us the answer: Ceres, aka Demeter, was “was in charge of the harvest. If Ceres was upset, the crops could die.”  And, in this chart, Ceres is upset in its relationship with Sun/Chiron.  (Sun = self; Chiron = healing & teaching)  Our healing issues (such as Covid19) are in a significant conflict with our source of nourishment (supply chains in modern economies).

Financial markets are in trouble (Venus, in her home but square to Ceres).  Bailouts are coming, but we need the people that represent us in the government to put an absolute prohibition on misuse of the funds in place and enforce it.  No more “stock buybacks” (as airlines did with bailout money) or “bonuses” from the bailout money.

Uranus (Prometheus) will give us some slick ideas of how to “do it how we have always done it” only slightly different but much better. We do not have to scrap ALL our old ideas to work our way out of the Coronavirus Pandemic.  The right “aha” moments can help us make it through this.  Innovation is critical.

Expect lawsuits.  Abuses will be uncovered.  If you see misconduct, take pictures, record video, record audio, capture everything you can and send it out to as many people as you can, maybe to your attorney along the way.

The semi-squares in the chart tell us that a TON of tension is “out there” in the world. People are pissed off, and they are having difficulty holding it together. This chart tells us that.  Best to avoid dangerous people, places, and situations for the moment.  Whatever the risk is, the possible reward is likely not worth the possible damage.

2015-07-27 Mercury Quincunx Neptune

We will likely update this post a bit over the next day or so.  A number of patterns are in play, but we present the Mercury Quincunx chart filtered for the Yod that is in play:

2015-07-27 Mercury Quincunx Neptune (Yod)

The issue is about “feast and famine” (Ceres) and it could be literal (i.e. “should I go on a diet” or “should I start a new exercise program” or “I really want that piece of cake”) or more metaphorical (“what are the financial markets doing” or “should I start a new job or go back to school”).  The choices are Venus Retrograde (we are having to take a hard look at our values, and we may choose the famine option to preserve those values) or Astraea (Justice).  The problem is that this is associated with the perfection of Mercury Quincunx Neptune, and NO OTHER ASPECT introduces confusion into communications more than this one!

That means you need to decide, but you do not have all the facts, and you are not sure what is going on.  At best, it is a messy situation that you may need to revisit when Mercury turns retrograde in September.

Full Moon November 2014

Here is the basic chart for the Full Moon of November 2014:

Full Moon November 2014 (Beginners)

We see some indication that we may be entering a period of austerity (or a cold winter?) as Venus is between the Sun and Saturn (all in Scorpio) with Mars applying to conjoin Saturn (both in Capricorn).  Saturn and Pluto continue in mutual reception, as has been true since 2012.  Will be interesting to see what the financial markets do.  We note that Mars and Vesta are semi-octile, and that might be the most important aspect during this full moon.  (More discussion on this below after the Modulus Sort Strips.)  We also note a Huber triangle involving Sun / Moon / Chiron (as shown in the next version of the chart).

Full Moon November 2014 (Huber)

Similarly important, Astraea (at 29 Pisces) is semi-square the Moon and Sesquisquare the Sun (in a pattern we have not seen named before but similar to a T-Square or arguably the Huber triangle).  (This is all about some injustice that has NOT been resolved!)

Here is an horary version of that same chart data:

Full Moon November 2014 (Horary)

One thing that benefits this full moon is that none of the planets are peregrine.  The arabic parts generally look favorable as well.

Here is last year’s November Scorpio / Taurus full moon.

Here are the midpoint trees for those interested in midpoints:

Full Moon November 2014 (Midpoint Trees)

We see a very busy group of midpoint trees.  Here is the Modulus Sort strips, another way to identify relationships that may not otherwise be entirely obvious:

Full Moon November 2014 (Modulus Sort Strips)

Notice that the last strip, the 22.5 strip, shows Vesta/Mars next to each other.  This means that they are “semi-octile” with is a 16th Harmonic aspect.  But, what does that mean?  Discussions abound, and opinions vary.

My interpretation is that the semi-octile is a kind of “irritation,” a bit like the persistent annoyance of a pebble in the shoe that ultimately must be addressed.

With Vesta/Mars the two bodies joined by semi-octile, we suspect some people may be either quite irritable or outright enraged (possibly by some event near the FM).  We will see some of this after the elections in the U.S., but they not a cause of the problem (the elections reflect other underlying problems).  Any polarization that occurred with the Rosettas of October will more clearly emerge at this time.  Remember, also, that on a much large scale we are choosing (collectively and individually) one of two major forks in the road (i.e. The Grand Yod).

Full Moon November 2014 (Modulus Sort Strips Mars Vesta) 2

We have indicated Mars/ Vesta in the 22.5 strip in this last graphic using deep red.  (The 22.5 strip is the last in the series.)  Two strips above it, the fourth in the series, is the 45 degree strip.  Here, at the end, we see Sun / Moon / Astraea as noted using light blue.  As mentioned before, this is about an injustice that is unresolved.  Justice must be had here.  Given the upcoming Thor’s Hammer days circa November 14/15, we shudder to think of what may happen if whatever coverup(s) have been going on are not exposed in a peaceful manner.

We also identify four (4) themes that emerge from four (4) Triseptiles during this period.  (“Triseptiles” are higher order aspects that are difficult to interpret; those who do attempt to interpret them claim that they are “karmic” in nature.)

1.  Jupiter BISeptile Ceres (and Ceres square Neptune): This is a large, higher order set of issues involving education and law (Jupiter), the food supply (Ceres), and healthcare & drugs (Neptune).  Jupiter in Leo indicates that we can expect dramatic changes, Ceres in Sadge strengthens Jupiter’s role, and Neptune introduces a sense of urgency and annoyance as the solutions dissolve into failures (and lessons for better solutions in the future).

The full moon itself (Moon opposes Sun) is part of a Huber triangle involving Chiron (the “wounded healer,” another indicator of education and healthcare issues).  This Sun / Moon / Chiron triangle will almost certainly activate the Jupiter / Ceres / Neptune pattern on a mundane level.  (Maybe part of the key to dealing with the Ebola problem will involve education of healthcare workers?)

2.  Juno BiSeptile Saturn: Issues and trust and betrayal collide with policies that may be too “bare bones” to protect those that should be protected.  Change becomes necessary.

3.  Pallas TriSeptile Uranus: in the low form, surprise attacks.  In the high form, insights that result in breakthroughs, particularly technological breakthroughs.  Given the nature of Pallas, some of these may be military in nature and the information not available to the public.

4.  Vesta BiSeptile Astraea: Similar in many ways to #3.  A push to address injustices boils to the surface.  The Vesta / Mars semi-octile discussed earlier ties into this and is the “pebble in the shoe” that heightens the pressure to obtain justice and redress the wrongs.

Here is the same full moon chart, but displaying specifically the TriSeptiles:

We note that the U.S. map is unusually busy.  The area where Montana and South Dakota meet is highly activated.  (Will we see a surprise winter storm or other unusual weather there?)

We have a “Stretched Pentagram” that will form beginning January 26th and end on the 27th.  Here is the chart:

Stretched Pentagram of Jan 26th 1-2-2013 1-31-32 AM

To say the least, this is an “interesting” pattern: A Full Moon Pentagram!  The Full Moon culminates during the formation of this pattern, and this pattern is also just before the State of the Union address this year.   (The State of the Union Address has been set for February 12th of 2013.)

Here is the U.S. Map:

Stretched Pentagram US Map 1-2-2013 1-41-15 AM

We see that Venus has a line through DC (favoring DC) at this time, Ceres a line through Phoenix AZ, Hygeia through Los Angeles (healthcare), and Vesta through Oakland.  (Will be interesting to see how Californians react to the State of the Union.)

Here is the map for Europe and the UK:

We see the UK activated by the curious combination of Vesta and Jupiter.

Here is the map for Asia, including India:

New Moon January 2013: False Hopes for the Grain Goddess

Here is the New Moon chart for January, 2013.  The outstanding aspect is the Quincunx (Inconjunct) of Ceres and Sun/Moon.  Ceres, the grain goddess, rules prosperity in a general sense but particularly food and farmers.  It figured prominently in the election of November, 2012, and it likely highlighted the divide in the United States between food consumers (urban areas) and food producers (rural areas).  We expect any news at this time to be of false hope, or little consolation, to the rural constituents of the United States. (We note that the State of the Union is scheduled for Tuesday, January 29th, a little more than two weeks past this new moon and a day past full.Update Jan 11, 2013: Looks like State of the Union will be February 12th, a few days past the February 2013 New Moon.  That is a much smarter date!)

Here is the chart:

New Moon 2013 2 12-31-2012 3-01-53 PM

Here is the map of the United States at that time:

New Moon Jan 2013 US Map 12-31-2012 3-12-13 PM

We note the following: (1) the Mercury line is exact over Los Angeles, (2) the New Moon line is exact over eastern Nevada and near Las Vegas, (3) the Saturn line covers much of the western United States and is exact at Guadalahara, and (4) the Ceres line goes through Michigan, West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina at this time.  (We would not be surprised to hear that labor unions are feeling some pain at this time, possibly due to political policy decisions or announcements.)

Here is the map for the UK and Europe.  (We note a Saturn line through Ireland, indicating continued difficulties there.)

And here is the map for India (and Asia in general):

And here is Australia and New Zealand:

New Moon Jan 2013 Aus-NZ 12-31-2012 3-46-00 PM[Click to Enlarge]

We note that Australia and New Zealand appear to be more activated that any other part of the planet (except the U.S.) during this particular new moon.

Nefrit’s Chart

Reader Nefrit has requested analysis of her natal chart.

Based on the data provided, here is the chart produced in Astrolog:

Nefrit has her Sun in late Scorpio with her Moon in early Pisces; the two are 102 degrees apart,  They are trine by sign but not by degree.  Saturn will trine her Moon in 2013 but not contact her Sun until somewhat later (probably 2014).  She has experienced her first Saturn return and the associated transformation.  Saturn will continue to bring transformation, particularly as it conjuncts Venus and Uranus.  This happened early in her life as well, probably about age 8 to 10 years of age.  Something rather profound likely happened then, such as a divorce of parents, a move to a new city or country, or something else similarly profound.

Particularly interesting is her close relationship between the Sun and Ceres,  Ceres is representative of feast and famine.  Prior to the 20th century, when famine was common, Ceres had a different meaning.  It meant actual famine.  Today, it usually signifies a pattern of preoccupation with weight and weight loss.  Usually it signifies also a pattern of extreme diets followed by a the “rebound” effect of gaining the weight back plus new additional weight.  Nefrit will have to carefully guard against being ensnared by this or a similar pattern.  In a worst case scenario, it could signify an eating disorder such as bulimia.

Mercury, Juno, and Neptune are essentially conjunct near 15 Sagittarius.  Her communications are how she gets things done, but sometimes they are unclear.  Worst case either she or the other party engages in outright deceit.  In her original request, she asked about boyfriends and romance.  Based on this aspect, and her Sun/Moon position, we recommend that she favor partners with water sign Sun/Moon.  However, her current Gemini boyfriend can work.  The issue of communications is important in all relationships, but heightened for her.

Juno, of course, was the jealous wife of ever-philandering Jupiter.  Jupiter cheated on her almost constantly.  Nefrit would benefit from studying the mythology and stories of Juno and how to address those issues.

With a sensitive Pisces Moon, dishonest partners more deeply wound her than others.  The issue with Ceres (and weight / weight loss) compounds the problem.  Uranus and Venus are essentially conjunct, so she may have a predilection for what might be termed “unusual” relationships.  This could range from the May/December variety to GLBT to those that are truly “kinky.”  As I watch Craig Ferguson while I write this, I hear the announcer mentioned “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Sex Toys.”  Is that a coincidence?
We note that the Moon in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer trine the Venus / Uranus duo; this forms a grand water trine making this combination particularly important in her chart.  The Venus / Uranus duo tend to affect both her Moon (her deep internal self) and her career (Jupiter).  Despite a preference for “creative romances,” we suspect that she has a deep yearning for a family (Jupiter in Cancer).  If that is not feasible, she will tend to work in areas that involve water or fluids (shipping by sea, the oil industry) or working with families (possibly social work).

Of course, we are not saying any of this is necessarily “true” in the form described.  Planetary positions and aspects can be expressed in a large variety of ways.  These are just the most obvious interpretations.

We invite her response and clarifications.

Full Moon of April 28, 2010

First of all, many of us will be impelled to action by the impending conjunction of the retrograde Mercury with the Sun at this time.  We will feel that “things” are overdue, and that we must act.  A real danger of acting rashly exists here.  Act, to be sure, but act wisely.

For the details of this, check the midpoint tree of Mercury on the Wheel and Data page, shown later in this article.

Full Moon Activates the 2012 Solstice Focused Yod

This Taurus Sun / Scorpio Moon Full Moon occurs at 8 Taurus / Scorpio, which is an activating point for the 2012 Solstice Focused Yod.  Events that happen on or around this time will tend to have long term consequences, and that is confirmed by the final Saturn / Uranus opposition of that series with Saturn / Uranus in the final degrees of Virgo / Pisces.

Unquestionably this is a signal of some kind for the financial markets, but what kind?  Some say a recovery; some say a “Bear Rally.”  In this case, the entry of Pluto into Capricorn a year ago signals the beginning of a long period of what might be called “Fiscal Conservatism.”  Pluto is related to investigations, and Capricorn is the sign of finances and financial markets.  Deep, probing investigations into the financial services industry is, or should be, the norm. The Saturn / Uranus opposition series has been the herald, and the astrological avatar, of the recession.  That opposition series also signal a need for evaluation of existing structures (Saturn) and possible change (Uranus).

Hele of Full Moon of April 28th

This Hele appears to be active and important at the time of this Full Moon:

Since Hele is a new pattern, this is difficult to interpret.  However, it appears to at least potentially involve the severe anger of betrayal (Pallas) aligned with Venus (Art & Beauty or Finances) in relation to Neptune (Deception), Moon (Full), and Saturn (Authority).  An “explosion” (not literal) regarding Goldman-Sachs, Madoff, etc. may be about to “come to a head” today.  A pimple appears waiting to be popped.

Venus in a Yod with Ceres and Pluto v. The Full Scorpio Moon

That said, the current economic condition is about as good as it will get.  It may or may not have peaked yet, but the exuberance of the preceding twenty years is no longer warranted.  The Venus / Cerus inconjunct confirms that some (many) will be irrationally exuberant over the current rally.  Venus is also inconunct Ceres, and Ceres and Pluto are conjunct each other.

In fact, Venus is in a Yod with Ceres and Pluto on one side, and the Moon on the other.  Ceres / Pluto conjunct could be called the “I want to have my cake and eat it, too” aspect.  You cannot have both, but that is exactly what we feel.  A decision must be made, based on the conjunction alone.  But, Yods emphasize decisions, and we are almost never satisfied with the results (from a hindsight vantage point).

To best understand the energy of this full moon, read about Ceres and Pluto here.

In this case, we must make a decision about decisions.  What issue will we focus upon?  If we focus upon a Ceres/Pluto viewpoint, then we will be faced with the challenge of “having our cake and eating it too.”  If we pick the Moon, then we are picking a Full Moon with the Sun Conjunct Retrograde Mercury.  This means that we must double check everything and look at old projects we had discarded.  In the end, we will have to balance investigation and intrigue (the Scorpio Moon) with art, beauty, and productivity (Taurus).  Investigation is necessary, but investigation (alone) WILL NOT GET THINGS DONE.  No matter how we approach things today, if the 2012 Solstice is important, then we will see today (and this week) as a turning point in our lives.

On a more personal note, this is a tough time for anyone who starts a diet.  Certainly it CAN be done; Pluto helps but only through pain or traumatic events.  The Ceres (giving into the temptation to eat what you want) is far easier and far more pleasant.  All that said, here is the Full Moon Chart:

Weekend of March 28, 2009 Remember those New Year’s Resolutions?

Chart for intiation of the process of writing predictions for the weekend starting Friday March 27th of 2009

Chart for intiation of the process of writing predictions for the weekend starting Friday March 27th of 2009

Although the astrology makes sense, I still do not fully understand why it is the way it is. What I mean is that some of you, perhaps many of you, will find that this weekend will lead you to reconsider the New Year’s resolutions that you made and either kept or broke back in January and February.

I include the above chart for the “Ketarke” of this.  Note that Saturn is in the 1st and Ascendant is near a sign change boundary.  This implies that I will miss something important, and possibly I may miss something very big.  Maybe I am focused on diet and weight loss when, in fact, some huge change happens somewhere else (such as in the Financial Markets).

Well, if it says I “can’t” predict it, then I won’t.

For many of you this weekend is about diet and more than a few of you are wrestling with debt. You may have to struggle with both, perhaps doing well with one but not the the other. Maybe none of it is working.

I know of at least one person who will be struggling with clearing of clutter and house cleaning in a major way this weekend.  That, too, can be represented by the configuration.  Just be careful not to end up with MORE clutter.  (You go to the garage sale to release your “stuff” and buy more than you delivered.)

Regardless….

You’ll reach a decision this weekend: blow it all on a big splurge or be more modest. I am not saying that you must be so strictured that you explode because that will not work either. But, this weekend is about making the changes necessary to be modest and practical in your dining and expenditures.

And a few of you, a very special few, will have given up altogether only to see glimmer of a new hope this weekend. For you, this is your chance to restart your life in terms of possessions and tangible things. You will need to be VERY modest, but you can, once again, have hope.

Regardless of who you are, you’ll need to have a heart to heart with that special someone on Saturday.

Just when you have things lined up, you will encounter challenges on Sunday. Squabbles will tend to break out. Use this energy, instead, for sculpture or writing of poetry or at least making home movies about happy times.

This is for you Ms. Marmite: this is THE weekend to emphasize to your customers the quality of your food, the nutrition, and the value. Oddly, this is a logical turning point in relation to my February 3rd post for you specifically.

A few of you may wonder where I am deriving this analysis from. I have included another chart showing entry of Moon into Taurus and its relationship (grand trine) to Pluto and Ceres. Note, also, how precisely Mercury is opposite the Part of Fortune (Fortuna) here. Especially for those who are “early risers” (or those who are sufficiently inspired that they choose to rise early this day), this will be a time of “luck” for dealing with those “broken” New Year’s resolutions regarding diet, “getting in shape,” money, and tangible physical items.

Weekend of January 30th Dominated by Mercury Direct Station

What eclipses this weekend (sorry), is the Mercury Direct station. This this station follows so closely after the eclipse is even more of a sign of changes to come.

For many of us, personally, this presents another major turning point in the diet issue. Will we feast or will we famine? If you are fighting this issue, this weekend is an important milestone. You will especially find Saturday frustrating, as your plans to stay on track are upset by Mercury changing directions. As I have written before, keep in mind that if you fall down you can get back up.

But even if you are not fighting the diet fight, you will feel the shift in other ways.

Friday morning starts slowly, but the day becomes more “lively” with a possible power struggle or financial issue in the afternoon.

Friday has a quiet Piscean period which includes a void from about 3am Dallas time (6am UK) until the Moon enters Aries after 9am. Aries Moons tend to bring about activity. And this Moon squares Pluto early, as early Aries Moons will do for the next few years.

Plutonic activity often signifies concerns over taxes. (It is that time of year again, isn’t it?) This can be a sign of other disputes, or perhaps intense sexual activity. By itself, it is not a major aspect, but following so closely after an eclipse it can signify that you will see a major turning point in your life this afternoon. Keep your eyes open.

The day ends pleasantly enough with an aspect to Jupiter.

Saturday is the peak day in the diet battle, and Saturday also brings to fore issues with with “will” and the intensity needed to get things done. This is embodied in a “finger of God” that has Ceres (food) and Saturn (structure, willpower) at the focal point, and the Moon in Aries at one fork and five planets in Aquarius at the other fork.

The five planets in Aquarius speaks to use tending to decide to do “what the group wants to do.” If you have a support group, this is a good time to attend activities. Go to OA if you attend that, or an extra Weight Watchers if you attend that.

For many of us, we see a drama that includes three different groups: (1) a group of people, possibly five or more, who advocate THEIR viewpoint; (2) an authority figure and possibly a “young lady” (who could be engaged to marry); and (3) a lone, but exteremly strong, female. When we think of this “lone female” think of Diana the Warrior.

I cannot say who will win this battle of wills, but I can say that the drama will be a lively one. Enjoy!

January 8th, 2009: Stick with the Diet; Temptation Strikes

January 7, 2009 at 9:33 pm | Posted in Astrology, Predictions | 1 Comment
Tags: , , , , ,

Temptation strikes today around 10am Central, a popular “coffee break” time.  Those who have already fallen off the wagon tempt those who have lasted so far.

With a Gemini Moon (chatter) Squaring (disagreement) Ceres (Diets / Feasts) in Virgo (health issues), expect a bit of chatter if not bickering or outright disagreement about diets.  And, given the proximity to New Year’s Day, this is almost a certainty.  If you have survived so far, hang in there.  You can make it.

Of course, in the UK and Europe, this drama happens at the supper table.

Back in Texas, at Central Time, the moon forms a T-Square with the Uranus-Neptune opposition.  Squabbles can easily erupt, particularly if you are Gemini, Virgo, Sadge, or Pisces.  No one will “win” unless this is an old dance where the same player always “wins.”  If so, and you are not the winner, then don’t play.

One other thing: Ceres enters Libra on August 3rd.  This places Ceres in a Square with Pluto (Ceres rules feasts & famines because, according to myth, Pluto gets her for six months of the year (late fall, winter, early spring).  During this time, when Pluto has her, we have famine (in modern time: diets).

With the square, as long as we aren’t have a REAL famine (or food supply problems), you should NOW put an reminder where you will find it in August (personal calendar or elsewhere) to re-visit your diet resolutions.  If your plan is working, you might think about how to tune it.  If you “fell off” the diet wagon, then this (Thursday August 6th, just after the Full Moon) will be a good time to restart.

Not sure what plan you want to follow?  Try this.

Much of life is about “getting up” after we “fall down.”

January 3, 4, 5 of 2009: A New Romance May Show Itself; Other Peoples Money

Venus enters Pisces, and we suddenly have a chance at love, new or renewed.

Our New Year’s dreams seem truly possible, and they are if we work at them.

Sun Trines Ceres (Saturday, 3rd) and says that a diet just might work this time. If you are like me, and think that NY Resolutions to lose weight are hopelessly flawed, you could reconsider. A little optimism is warranted this time.  You’ll need to focus, and you should expect to be “tested” more than once.

Please don’t spend on anything until Monday. Ditto for career changes, and those aren’t really very good until after the Mercury Retrograde is over (February 1st).  In fact, almost anything done this month will be “revisited” somehow later.

Plan accordingly.  Don’t “burn bridges” with anyone this month.

Sunday may bring out your kinky side, if you have one. If not, then issues about money & taxes or money & inheritances. In some way, if Sunday is not about Sex & Romance then it is about “other people’s money.”  Sunday is also a good day to ask “what if?”

Monday tends to be a day to “lay low” in the UK & Europe (Jupiter is void) but okay in the US after about 11am EST.

Monday (Jan 5, 2009) is a “cross-ways” day: it is good for some and bad for others. No pronounced aspects on Monday, so this is a housekeeping day for many. Much of this day is about the official change from 2008 to 2009. (That’s not hard to predict, is it.)  But, again, do plan for having to “do it over.”
