The earth element continues to dominate the transits this week. Ademtos (Transneptunian), Virgo Moon, and Mercury in Capricorn form a grand earth trine on New Year’s Eve. The trio is in the ingress chart for the 2016 chart in some parts of the world (New York and the United States East Coast has this configuration within orb at the stroke of midnight on January 1). That is one rock solid, albeit ephemeral, grand trine! Naturally, many useful themes arise as attention to taking on the New Year approaches. Both emotion and thought, already manifesting in an earthy manner via Moon and Mercury, have a solid base to operate from, provided by Admetos. Instinctively using communication to build enduring structures, using ideas persistently to fill emotional needs, and focusing on gathering practical information to meet security needs are all relevant themes to approach the challenges…

In Native American cultures, December’s Full Moon that is near the Summer Solstice – thus travelling a high path through the sky – was known as the Full ’Long Nights’ Moon or Full ’Cold’ Moon. This year, we have a domicile Full ’Long Nights’ Moon near its southernmost ecliptical latitude (-5,84 degrees), below the star called ’Propus’ (eta Geminorum).

Chandra the Moon rides his chariot now (25. Dec. 2015, 11:12 UT) across the Ardra Nakshatra whose Ruler is Rudra. In the Hindu iconography, Rudra is represented as ’five-faced’ [pancha-anana) deity, holding a serpent on his head and the crescent Moon on his forehead; his animal symbol is often a female dog. Rudra is the most peaceful and also the most terrible deity at the same time, being a personification of Shiva, he has the ’Thunder Power’ that makes him undefeatable; Lord of wild animals, storms and all unexpected incidents, origin…

Hello beautiful.

This moon shines in her fullness in the early hours of Christmas morning. It’s the first full moon on Christmas day since 1977! As you know the full moon is an opposition (from the Earth’s point of view) between the Sun and the Moon. The Sun entered Capricorn a few days ago on the winter solstice marking the official beginning of winter. The Moon is in the opposite sign of Cancer. The Cancer/Capricorn axis represents the archetype of the parental figures and energy of the mother (Cancer) and the father (Capricorn.)

These two signs also mark the beginning of seasons; Cancer is the beginning of Summer, Capricorn the beginning of winter, and energetically they bring us into the the fullness of expanding (outward)…

FULL MOON IN THE SIGN OF CANCER
– The 11:11 Christmas Special!

Happy Christmas, Full moon followers! Yes, we are coming to the last full moon of the year. The final one of the year gives us one final polarity Cancerian moon vs solar Capricorn. On Christmas Day. At approximately 11:11. Oh boy! Talk about a sign…

Chart_XmasFullMoon15Why is this symbolic?
Well, Christmas Day represents more than the birth of Jesus, it also represents a special time in the path of our Sun. Having ‘died’ at the solstice, it is reborn and becomes stronger on or around the 25th, like a resurrection. With the time of 11:11, that is regarded by different groups as being symbolic to angelic codes, messages and awakening.

Astrologically, both are cardinal signs, earth and water meeting together. What do you get when earth and water meet? Mud! So in this ‘mud’, we shall celebrate family…

Mosaic of the Soul

suresh_siva-in-moon-boat_ful Siva in Moon Boat

On Christmas day we have a Full Moon in Cancer, which is very appropriate for the occasion as it relates to family and emotions. This is great for rekindling or deepening ties to family and friends. The water element is supercharged with the Moon in Cancer making a trine aspect with Neptune in Pisces, and with Lilith retrograde and Juno in Scorpio. We should watch out for an overflow of emotions, which it can bring up a lot of drama, sadness, crying, reminiscing about the past, and remembering the ones that have departed.

We could witness conflicts, open or covert, especially old issues coming up between females or couples. There could be a lot of bickering all around, jealousy, envy, things being said impulsively out of nowhere, and issues that are not conscious or had been forgotten resurfacing. Those themes and dynamics are reinforced the Full…

Rainbows and Astrology

DSC04179Merry Christmas! Surprise! Not since 1977 have we experienced a Full Moon on Christmas Day.

At 4:13a MST December 25th, the Moon will be at 03 degrees of Cancer 20′, bringing family, nurturance and caring to the fore! How appropriate. Since Cancer is the cardinal water sign, representing water, this sign is highly sensitive so watch out for hurt feelings if the communication isn’t entirely clear or timely! BE aware of your tone of voice, body language and words.

Come from the heart and love as best you can, always and in all ways. Family is the heart of this season despite what is going on in the media and world events. BE the change you want to see! I believe Mahatma Ghandi said this. BE heart, BE love, and BE true to you!

Cancer rules the stomach too! Highly sensitive to rich foods and over-eating or combining foods you…

Frani Blaylock Astrologer - Your Guide to the Stars

We have a rare Full Moon on Christmas Day; we haven’t had a full moon on this day since 1977 and won’t have another on Christmas Day until 2034. This Full Moon is at 3 Cancer 20 and is exact at 5:13 am current Chicago Time – CST. Moon is opposite Sun at 3 Capricorn 20. Moon trines Neptune at 7 Pisces 25 which is very romantic and creative. We will be feeling spiritual and sentimental, wanting to live our highest ideals and connecting emotionally to all of those “happy ever after” fairy tales.
Stay grounded for soon afterward Moon will inconjunct Saturn at 10 Sagittarius 25 and our frustration can be briefly triggered. Mercury is at 22 Capricorn sextile Venus at 24 Scorpio and trine Jupiter at 22 Virgo which favors happy companionship and conversations with those we spend the day with – Mercury does square Mars…
