Sun Conjunct Chiron 2020-03-25
Sun conjunct Chiron happens annually, shifting each year until it is in a new sign after approximately four to five years but varies due to an erratic orbit. Chiron has an orbit of about fifty years, giving about four years per sign. It is new to Aries and will repeat similar versions from year to year for the next few year until 2026.
Chart for Sun Conjunct Chiron, March 25, 2020
Bur, What Does It Mean?
No obvious patterns are present. 7th Harmonic continues to be active in the same way as before, and we have discussed it several times elsewhere. Any of a number of websites discuss Sun Conjunct Chiron specifically; we will provide links to them below. Our commentary focuses on this chart, the chart for Sun Conjunct Chiron on March 25, 2020 (set in Plano, TX).
The meaning is not obvious. We have to “dig deeper” with this chart.
Sesquisquare Ceres
This chart hides its messages well, but they are there if you look for them (and know where to look). In this case, the combination of Sun/Chiron is semisquare Ceres. (As an aside, this chart is particularly heavy with the semisquare / sesquiquadrate aspects, something we will look at in the next session.) But, WHAT does that MEAN?
S/C semisquare Ceres tells us what we already know: Sun (our life in general) combined with healing issues (Chiron) is in a conflict with issues of Ceres, meaning “feast and famine.” In the Spring, Ceres should favor us, so I am worried about the period approaching November 19th of this year and a bit beyond December 16th (Saturn’s second entry into Aquarius, where it stays until 2023). Sun opposes Chiron in late September, so we could be feeling the issues as soon as then.
But, what issues? In the abstract sense: the financial markets and monetization. In the practical sense: supply chains and, more specifically, FOOD. The potential for a food shortage is looming out there, and we need to “get on top of it” NOW to nip that in the bud. In my humble opinion, I believe we are “doing the right thing,” but it still will not be easy. That one thing, the question of supply chains (especially food), is the big takeaway of this chart.
No doubt some of you are asking: how did he get that? The answer is based on the mythology. Ceres, aka Demeter, was “was in charge of the harvest. If Ceres was upset, the crops could die.”
Here, the Sun (Apollo in mythology but our general self in the external sense (Moon is internal)) and Chiron (the Centaur known as the “wounded healer,” a teacher and healer who could heal all EXCEPT himself) are aligned together AND “upsetting” Ceres (i.e. the Semi-square, which is, as we say here in the South, “as annoying as hell”). For more on the mythology regarding Ceres, click >here<.
In short, our healing issues (such as Covid19) are in a significant conflict with our source of nourishment (supply chains in modern economies). Again, astrology confirms what we already know.
BUT, there’s more.
- Ceres Square Venus
- Uranus Trine the South Node
- Asraea Opposite Mars
Ceres Square Venus
This is a large and complex topic. But, here, it amplifies the issue with the Sun/Chiron semisquare to Ceres. We may need to adjust some of the “rules” the financial markets play by to keep the supply chains intact. If we fail to do that, bad things will happen. And, that is what this square is telling us. And, to be sure, some of these moves will be fought by Wall Street, similar to the Airlines using “bailout” money from the government to perform stock buy-backs. That kind of crap will wreck us, and we need the people that represent us in the government to put an absolute prohibition on that misuse of the funds in place and enforce it.
Uranus Trine South Node
I am going to go opposite against many astrologers, particularly the ones from India, the “Vedic” astrologers. They love the North Node and hate the South Node. The North Node is “karma,” and you are supposed to be better when you “work through it.” The South Node is “doing it how we have always done it” and “don’t fix it if it ain’t broke.” Usually I agree.
Here, I make an exception. Uranus will give us some slick ideas of how to “do it how we have always done it” only slightly different but much better. We do not have to scrap ALL our old ideas to work our way out of the Coronavirus Pandemic. Hell, it might even knock out the Martians. (If you are not familiar with “War of the Worlds,” that might not make sense.)
Let’s be clear: this aspect is important! It is telling us how to “fix” things by slight, but insightful, “tuning.”
Make it so, Number One!
Let me be clear: it is the solutions coming from this Uranus / South Node aspect (and some of what Pallas and Juno are doing currently) that will give us the solution(s) to combating this virus and similar opponents in the future. We HAVE to look at “how we always have done it” and bring in the smart, ingenious solutions that will tune those methods.
Astraea Opposite Mars
Expect lawsuits. This is another “astrology tells us something obvious.” I think maybe less obvious, but maybe more interesting, will be the lawsuits against military / police forces. Abuses will be uncovered, and the lawyers will feed on it (as they should, since they protect us (collectively) from abuses by police / military by this kind of “feeding”). If you see misconduct, take pictures, record video, record audio, capture everything you can and send it out to as many people as you can, maybe to your attorney along the way.
What Else?
What else? All those semi-squares to start!
Semi-Squares
If you use asteroids (which I do), then this chart has (count ’em!) no less than seven (7) semi-squares. That is a TON of tension “out there” in the world. People are pissed off, and they are having difficulty holding it together. This chart tells us that. I will leave it to someone else to interpret this particular collection of semi-squares. For me, just knowing they are there is enough.
The chart also has two sesquiquadrates (also called “sesquisquares”). Those are not shown here. But, those (135 degrees) are often shown with semi-squares (45 degrees) since the two aspects are related (they are a way to divide 180 degrees / 360 degrees). Adding those two into the mix gives us NINE (8) of this family. And the two SSQ’s are ALMOST in a “Thor’s Hammer” pattern.
As if all of those semi-square / SSQ’s were not bad enough, keep in mind that Mars conjunct Pluto was just two days ago! And this chart follows the Aries New Moon by just a day, a sign that old ideas / people (relationships that no longer work) / places / things are being wiped away.
I could write more. Juno is a HUGE issue in this chart. She is telling us something important: women in general are fed up with the crap pushed on us by the fashion and cosmetic industries. I will not go into the details here, but it has to do with what is happening with Juno (ordinary regular women, and particularly anyone feeling betrayed) and Venus (fashion and cosmetics industries sucking every penny they can from the citizenry).
Prediction: somewhere “soon,” Anna Wintour will retire. (We do not wish anything bad on anyone, but Covid19 might “take her” despite her best efforts at precautions.) (When is “soon”? Probably this year, maybe next year, based on what I see. But, I could be wrong. She is one of those Scorpios who is as tough as a Sherman tank.) Regardless, a backlash against the fashion and cosmetics industries is coming.
Sun and Chiron v. Ceres, Venus, and the Nodes [Edit 2020-03-24]
Based on interest expressed in this article, I have decided to add a few edits. First, I have added a list of “Sun conjunct Chiron” aspects specifically in Aries from 1900 to 2100 at the end of this article. Those who are interested in what I call “Long Term Analysis” can look there.
Next, I ran a series of charts that focus on applying aspects of a single planet. We will look at the Sun (and, by default, Chiron, since they are both conjunct). Here is the chart:
Note that Sun/Chiron are semi-square Ceres in Capricorn (described previously, “supra”) while Sun/Chiron are also semi-square Venus in Taurus. This obviously means Ceres and Venus are square, discussed previously.
But, what does it mean?
That’s a good question. I think it is a new pattern, at least “new” in the sense the Solarfire 9 (the software I use to produce these analyses) does not have it. The pattern is this: two planets square with a third planet between them and semi-square to each (and, therefore, at the midpoint of each, Venus / Ceres in this case). The pattern is triangular, and it has a quality similar to a Thor’s Hammer, but built from semi-squares instead of sesquiquadrates. Like a Thor’s Hammer, this pattern causes significant “agitation.”
I will not duplicate the previous analysis, but I will point out that this means that Ceres (food, nourishment, supply chains) is in Aquarius (a sign of changing to a new way of thinking) and SQUARE to Venus (art, beauty, financial markets) in Taurus (its home, and the ultimate resistance to change). While that is a tremendous conflict by itself, in THIS case Sun/Chiron are together, acting “as one,” and in Aries (new ideas that can make us go to war, potentially) and Sun/Chiron are in conflict with BOTH Ceres / Venus. AND, if that were not enough, this Sun/Chiron melding reflects how many of us view the Venus / Chiron conflict (financial markets, loans, payments due versus having a home and food on the dinner plate).
In a sense, it is astrology once again telling us what we already know. But an argument could be made that the nuances of the aspects and patterns in the sky reflect a consolidation of our thoughts into something potentially useful.
But, Wait, There’s More!
Just like those late night infomercials some of us have seen, the well worn old saw “But, wait, there’s more!” applies here. In particular, Sun/Chiron is SQUARE to the nodes, placing Ceres semi-square to the South Node and sesquiquadrate to the North Node. Similarly, Venus is semi-square to the North Node and sesquiquadrate to the South Node.
What does THAT mean? It means that the pattern mentioned previously is “swallowed” by a larger pattern that includes the Nodes (of the Moon, an indicator of “karma” that must be “worked through”).
To quote Ringo Starr, “It don’t come easy.”

2016-10-07 Sun Square Pluto (Thor’s Hammer)

2016-10-07 Sun Square Pluto (Thor’s Hammer)
This repeats in two versions, each once a year. The other one was earlier in April, and both will repeat in April and October for the next few years. We repeat what we said in April: Sun Square Pluto is about power and power struggles. On a personal basis, chances are good you will see conflict, and you may see violence (including the use of lethal force). Police and intelligence agencies tend to be activated at this time, and death and taxes are issues, too. We add that you might want to look back to what was happening on or about April 6th to understand better what is happening at this time.

Sun Trine Pluto 2016-09-07 (Mystic Rectangle + Kites + Rosetta + Hele)
This repeats in two versions, each once a year. The previous one was in September, and both will repeat in May and September for the next few years. Sun Trine Pluto is also about power and power struggles, but the trines tend to be more benevolent than the squares in April and October. Still, take a look back at April 7th. And, when you reach October 7th, compare your experiences now to then.
The perfection of this aspect is very busy with a number of patterns present, including a Mystic Rectangle, Kites, a Rosetta, and a Hele. Opportunities about, and you may need to form coalitions to achieve certain results, but sorting out friend from foe could be tricky.
Here is the chart, filtered for the Mystic Rectangle:

Sun Opposite Neptune 2016-09-02 (Kite + Yod + TH)
If you kept your notes from Sun Conjunct Neptune on February 28th, then review them now. This is another day that is best for poets and photographers. We have a Yod in play, so you may need to make a decision at a time when your decision making is not at its best. A Thor’s Hammer is in play, so you need to watch your temper and watch for others that might be dangerous. But a Kite is also in play, and an opportunity is present. Keep your eyes open lest it pass you by unnoticed.
Here is the chart for perfection of the aspect, filtered for the kite:

Sun Square Jupiter 2016-06-04 (Kite + Grand Cross + Rosetta)
This aspect last perfected on December 14, 2015. Ordinarily, this aspect perfects twice a year, but only perfects once in 2016. A Kite (opportunity), a Grand Cross (very rare) and a Rosetta (issues with the alliances you form) are all present. We note that the Grand Cross is a longer term pattern here, and it involves Sun, Jupiter, Neptune, and Saturn.
Here is the chart for perfection of Sun Square Jupiter, filtered for the Kite:

2016-05 W20: Forecasts for Week 20 of 2016

2016-05 W20: Forecasts for Week 20 of 2016
We are in the middle of May as well as a series of retrogrades including Mercury Retrograde, and “things” are likely to be interesting until at least after May 22nd (arguably later because of the other retrogrades in play also). (Clarissa has written a great piece on the Mercury Retrograde. And you can find more about these periods for the rest of the year here. This page may also be useful.) The Taurus New Moooon perfected on May 6th, and we will have a Sagittarius Moon / Gemini Sun on May 21st (a day after Sun moves into Gemini). Let’s be clear: for better or worse, “things” will change with that lunation and the accompanying Mercury direct station.
School is out, and has been out, for most students, and that particular weekend (May 21/22) marks the true beginning of “summer” for anyone who follows the academic year. But astrological summer, the official beginning of “summer,” does not begin until the Summer Solstice on June 20th (which also has another full moon). The retrograde station of Chiron on June 27th and direct station of Mars on June 29th will mark another significant shift. We will cover these events in more detail as they near, but keep in mind these critical dates as you set plans for vacations, trips, meetings, and so forth.
Some time in the next few days we will delete the older May predictions and add newer ones, so please do check back. We are not gone, but we are not checking in EVERY day, either.
One final note: we know that the “Live Traffic Feed” in the sidebar is not working correctly, but the problem is not on our end. We want to give the provider at least a few more weeks before we remove it altogether. It has been with us since the beginning (2008), and we hate to remove it. (But, if it continues to be broken, then we will be forced to do the inevitable.)
May 8th
Today is Mothers Day, and a (very loose) Grand Cross is arguably in play. “Things” may be a bit weird with some “things” grinding to a halt (“full stop!”), and others suddenly becoming ready for launch. Look beyond the chaos for the opportunity, and launch whatever needs to be launched today. That could include being kind / helpful / generous to your mother / someone else’s mother / a woman who wishes she had been someone’s mother or someone similar. Look beyond the obvious for the opportunity to be a decent human being worthy of having had someone to care for you when you could not care for yourself.
May 9th
Jupiter stations direct today. Some of you have been feeling this for a few days or maybe longer. You really feel it if you, or someone close to you, is clergy (or a particularly spiritual person), a lawyer or otherwise involved with the legal system, or someone who works in higher education (or someone who once worked in one of those systems, including those who are retired or disabled).
Jupiter is associated with centaurs and kindness to animals can be a good idea today. Consider watching Earthlings if you have never developed a sense of decency or kindness towards animals. (Warning: “Earthlings” is not for the faint of heart. It can be very difficult to watch!)
May 10th
Venus (Taurus) trines Jupiter (Virgo) today, and the Moon is very active. Retrograde Mercury (Taurus) also trines the North Node (Virgo), and the outer planets are quiet. Given the consideration that five planets are retrograde, much can be accomplished today particularly short term objectives that may be part of resurrected projects from the past. Most people tend to benefit from today although earth signs (and water) tend to benefit the most. This is likely the best “get things done” day of the week and maybe the entire Mercury Retrograde period.
May 11th
Most of the work day in the Western Hemisphere is void, and Venus Quincunx Saturn clearly marks that yesterday’s window of opportunity has closed and this is mostly an “off day” for most people. Jim Shawvan marks this particular lunar void as an “opportunity period,” but we still think it is a risky period. Avoid major commitments today if at all possible and stick to routine.
Hygeia stations direct, and issues involving health and healthcare will come to the forefront for some people. Also, Mars sesquiquadrate Uranus in early hours tomorrow makes both today and tomorrow potentially dangerous. Do not do anything rash in traffic, and avoid saying words that you may not be able to take back later.
May 12th
Today is a mixed bag but more good than bad and certainly better than yesterday. Today is not as good as Tuesday but much better than yesterday. Retrograde Mercury (Taurus) trines Pluto (Capricorn) and something comes back to us. This could be an old project or it could be a lost (and important) object. Quadrinoviles involving Vesta (bright ideas but typically more for police / military) are present this evening.
Write down those fleeting ideas and know that they can be useful later, possibly as the planets move direct. Late evening has annoyances, and new parents may have a baby that cannot be consoled. With yesterday’s Hygeia station consider healthcare for the young one if any doubt whatsoever exists regarding their status.
Mars sesquiquadrate Uranus in early hours makes both yesterday and today potentially dangerous. Do not do anything rash in traffic, and avoid saying words that you may not be able to take back later.
May 13th
Retrograde Mercury and Venus join and later Venus trines Pluto. This is all mostly benevolent, but a lunar void tells us to stick to routine after noon. Previously planned events (and dates) may not work out. Your date this evening might be a “no show.” Try not to be too angry as this may have involved events beyond the control of the other person. Stick to routine if you can, and have fun with whomever is present.
May 14th
Early morning hours are tainted by a lunar square to Mars which is wonderful for athletes and can be good for police officers but is miserable for most of the rest of us. It is short term and will pass. Sun sextile Chiron dominates the day bringing up issues involving healthcare, teaching, and mentors. While all of those will not apply to you, likely one of them will apply. Today and tomorrow the mutable T-Square we have been discussing (refer to our New Moon analysis) is activated by Moon in Virgo. Expect irritations and channel that energy into useful accomplishment.

2016-05-07 Sun Trine Pluto (Kites + Hele)
This repeats in two versions, each once a year. The other one will be in September, and both will repeat in May and September for the next few years. Sun Trine Pluto is also about power and power struggles, but the trines tend to be more benevolent than the squares in April and October. Still, take a look back at April 7th.

Full Moon 2016-04-22 (Hard Rectangle)

Full Moon 2016-04-22 (Hard Rectangle)
For anyone who wants to check either upcoming or previous full moons or new moons, we offer pages that cover both categories of lunations for 2016. Here is a list of New Moons for 2016, and here is a list of Full Moons for 2016.
We note five patterns associated with this FM: Hard Rectangle, Thor’s Hammer, Hele, Kite(s), and T-Square(s).
We have been omitting T-Squares because they are still quite common when anything aspects the now dissolving Uranus / Pluto square (discussed extensively both elsewhere and on this site). However, we now have continuing T-Squares involving Jupiter (Virgo), Saturn (Sagittarius), and Neptune (Pisces), and since this set involves other bodies and points (Nodes, Chiron, Hygeia, and Mars) we believe it is worth addressing this set of T-Squares as well.
This is a very “early” Moon-Scorpio/Sun-Taurus FM, and it is the day after Adolf Hitler’s birthday. Entertainment figures Chyna and Prince died within the last 48 hours, and we would not be surprised to see another one (or more) go at this time. To say the least, this energy is “tough.”
This period of time reminds us of the period circa January 8, 2016 with the death of David Bowie and Glenn Frey. Bowie’s death was within 48 to 72 hours prior to the Capricorn New Moon of January 9, 2016.
[We may revise this blog post later to reflect other events that occur concurrent with the FM of 2016-04-22]
While I am not a numerologist (I am not certain how it works), I do note the following (for those time zones where the FM occurs April 22nd): (1) the day is a master number (22); (2) month + day is a higher order master number (44); and, depending on how you reduce numbers, year/month/day is also higher order (2016=7; + 04 -11; 11 + 22 = 33). So, arguably, in different forms we have 22, 33, and 44. (I am certain others will note this, and I expect those who claim numerology as their domain to have something to say about it.)
Let’s begin the astrological analysis of patterns with the Hard Rectangle, since it is the rarest of the patterns present (we believe “rare patterns” represent a sort of cosmic “punctuation mark”).
Here is the chart for the 2016-04-22 Full Moon, filtered for the Hard Rectangle:
This pattern involves the Sun, Moon and Nodes (Rahu and Ketu to Vedic astrologers). Many (most? all?) of the traditional astrologers do not like using the Nodes in aspects / patterns. This is because the Nodes are points rather than actually bodies. The Nodes are a function of the Earth’s orbital path relative to the Earth and are mathematically determined (as opposed to “heavenly bodies” which, at least in theory, can be observed).
So, whether or not you accept this pattern (or any other that uses the Nodes) depends on whether or not you believe the Nodes affect you. If you do, then this is an unusually intense Full Moon (FM) because the Nodes (aka “Karma”) form a Hard Rectangle (a very energetic and often dangerous pattern) with the FM. You can accomplish much at this time, despite the upcoming Mercury Retrograde (and other retrogrades) if you keep your focus by watching your temper. Avoid dangerous people, places, and things (unless that is your job, and I expect that police, investigators, and intelligence agencies will be very busy at this time along with scientists who explore dangerous topics (venomous snakes, etc.)), and avoid BEING a dangerous person yourself.
Just in case you somehow did not get the previous message, a Thor’s Hammer pattern is also present. This is a notoriously dangerous aspect, but, again, it can be channeled to get things done. You know what to do: follow the prescription we just gave (stay focused; avoid temper / violence / explosions).
Here is the (same) chart, filtered for the Thor’s Hammer:
As you can see from this version of the chart, the North Node, Saturn, and the Sun form this pattern. The early (“too early to tell”) Sun is at the Apex, with Saturn (“tests, trials, and tribulations) on one leg and the North Node (“hard karma”) on the other leg. With so many retrogrades in play, we recommend that you avoid “banging your head” on projects that will not budge at this time and focus instead on the highest priority projects where you can make actual progress. (You may also want to review your priorities at this time.)
We also have a Hele present, and it tells us contradictory messages! One the one hand, with Sun/Moon in the “too early to tell” degrees, it tells us that there are some things (IMPORTANT things) that you do not yet know about the alliances you are about to form. Are they organized crime?
And, if YOU are organized crime, then are they the undercover police that will finally seal your fate?
Yet, Scorpio-Taurus tells us that if you try to get out of this alliance “somewhere down the road,” then there will be hell to pay. Be extremely careful with the new friends you choose at this time, and know that they may have far more power than you can possibly realize at this moment.
Here is the chart for the Hele:
Mercury / Vesta (together) is on one leg with the North Node (there it is again!), and Uranus and Saturn are on the other leg. You will have to choose one or the other.
All of this sounds challenging, and it is. But a ray of hope is present. Kites (multiple, overlapping) are present in this chart, and for those that can see them (and harness them), powerful opportunities are present.
Here is the same chart, filtered for the kites:
Mercury and Pluto form this kite, along with the Nodes (again), so this opportunity will be present for one to three days, possibly longer as slow as Mercury is moving at this time. Some time after the Mercury Retrograde station, it will open for a second “act” in the play. But, if you really do want to seize this window of opportunity then you need to do it now. The other variants will give you a chance to “clean up” things that result from Sun/Moon being in the “too early to tell” period.
Finally, we address the T-Squares. They are a third pronouncement of the same kind of message that the Hard Rectangle and Thor’s Hammer bring: much energy, the potential for anger and violence, and great potential for accomplishment if the energy is properly funneled.
Here is the chart, filtered for the T-Squares:
More specifically, what is involved here are mutables (Planets in mutable signs), and long term planets are present in each sign that forms the T-Square (three of four mutable signs: Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces).
Virgo / Pisces focuses on the issues of work and play in general along with questions regarding attention to detail (does it help by identifying important issues or does cause harm by wasting time and other resources). They also address healthcare, with Virgo focused on healthcare providers (nurses and physicians and similar) and Pisces focuses on the illness (and how to “heal” from it (including death)).
Sagittarius forms the apex of the T-Square (with the Malefics Mars and Saturn there, both retrograde), and we find that answers to these work/play isseus (or healthcare issues) are likely located in either higher education (Universities and similar) or the legal system.
The T-Squares (multiple, overlapping) provide guidance on where you should consider focusing your efforts at this time: work, play (or rest and recovery), health, healthcare, higher education, and the legal system. Since we are dealing with mutables, we should be looking to “wrap up” current issues and move on to new ideas and new projects.

2016-04-06 Sun Square Pluto (Hele + Grand Trines + TH)
This repeats in two versions, each once a year. The other one will be in October, and both will repeat in April and October for the next few years. Sun Square Pluto is about power and power struggles. On a personal basis, chances are good you will see conflict, and you may see violence (including the use of lethal force). Police and intelligence agencies tend to be activated at this time, and death and taxes are issues, too. This particular aspect has a Hele (issues regarding long term alliances), Grand Trines, and a Thor’s Hammer. We present the chart filtered for the Hele:

The Vernal Equinox was March 19th / 20th depending on your location (with Venus conjunct Neptune on the same day), and the next lunation (a Aries / Libra Lunar Eclipse (a special type of Full Moon)) wad on March 23rd (Jupiter perfects a square to Saturn a few hours earlier on the same day). Jupiter / Saturn has been exerting ongoing influence (especially on the financial markets), and this is the second of three with the first being last fall.
2016-03 W13: Forecasts for Week 13 of 2016
For the eastern coast of the United States (aka the “East Coast”), the Vernal Equinox occurs today at half past midnight. (To determine the time for your locale, click here.) Venus (Pisces) joins Neptune (Pisces), and this is a very good “feel good” day but a terrible day to sign contracts or make long term commitments. Spiritual endeavors tend to prosper (as long as no long term commitment is involved). Pluto is active in higher order aspects to Pallas (ingenious plans, especially military in nature) and Vesta (traditions). Expect issues involving death and dying (or taxes) to surface today and be blended into spirituality.
Today is the “Ecclesiastical” beginning of Spring (used as part of the determination of when Easter occurs). Moon is in Virgo all day and quite active. Mercury enters Aries in the evening and is void (v/c) prior to that. Communications and transportation problems may emerge during this window; do not buy a vehicle, computer, or phone during this time. And, whether we are aware of it or not, we are preparing in some way on some level for what the upcoming Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon Aries / Libra) will bring us.
Moon becomes void only a few hours later, making it difficult to accomplish anything lasting today. Stick to routine tasks and plans for action after the eclipse on Wednesday.
Moon is void in Virgo all day long, entering Libra 10:23 PM PDT / 11:23 PM MDT in the swestern part of the United States. Again, stick to routine tasks and plans for action after the eclipse on Wednesday.
We have a double header with Jupiter Square Saturn today along with the Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon Aries / Libra). Note that Jupiter / Saturn will perfect again May 26th, and this aspect exerts continuing influence from February 14th of 2016 until October 28th of 2016. Chances are good this week, maybe today, will mark an important milestone in this window. The eclipse punctuates that.
Sun conjoins Mercury circa 3:11 PM CDT, and the window form 2:40 PM until 3:40 PM CDT is particularly useful (Cazimi) for key actions involving communications or transportation. You can buy that car, computer or phone if you can seal the entire deal during this window.
A Hard Rectangle also forms on the 23rd:
Hard Rectangle Enters March 23 2016 5:56:47 am (CDT +5:00) Hard Rectangle Leaves March 23 2016 3:32:35 pm (CDT +5:00)
Mercury trines Mars today, and you should accomplish all you can prior to Moon becoming void of course after its opposition to Uranus. The aspect (the opposition) can bring some very smart ideas, but you need to wait until you have more information, some time Friday afternoon (tomorrow), before you attempt to put those into action. Take this “time off” to do as much research as you can and lay the foundation without making any major commitments to move forward.
At 1:10 PM CDT the Moon moves into Scorpio, but you still may want to wait a few hours to put into action your plans from yesterday evening since the Moon is in the “too early to tell” period (also known as a “sign change boundary”). You MIGHT can make “it” work (whatever “it” is), but the venture will be risky and require significant concentration to make “it” work.
Venus (Pisces) opposes Jupiter (Virgo) and squares Saturn (Sagittarius) today, forming a mutable T-Square. The T-Square will give you great energy, but mutable T’s are about finishing the tasks at hand (bring them to completion), cleaning up, and laying the groundwork to launch the next major endeavor.
As far as “getting things done” goes, Saturday is a powerhouse, the best day this week. If you did not launch your new project yesterday, then launch it today and accomplish all you can today. Set leisure activities aside for another day, and focus on accomplishing the most important tasks today, especially anything part of a larger project.
Sun (Aries) trines Mars (Sagittarius), Venus (Pisces) sextiles Pluto (Capricorn), and the Moon has MOSTLY favorable aspects (two small glitches, one in the early morning hours and one shortly before 8 AM CDT; you can move past these and SHOULD do that). Get’er done!
Week 14 (W14)
Sunday March 27th
Moon turns void, and yesterday’s windows close. If you did not achieve completion, then you must put it on hold or stick to routine activities only (possibly at risk even with those). Today is not a “bad” day, but you will find it difficult to achieve lasting results today. Use this as a “day of rest” from yesterday and stick to cleaning up and planning for forward action on another day.
2016-03 W12: Forecasts for Week 12 of 2016
March 18, 2016 at 8:30 pm | Posted in 2016, Astrology | 3 CommentsTags: 2016, 2016-03, 2016-W12, annual, Annual events, Astrology, Chiron, Conjunct Chiron, Diamond, equinox, Jupiter, jupiter pluto, Jupiter Trine, Jupiter Trine Pluto, Mercury, Mercury Chiron, Mercury Conjunct, Mercury conjunct Chiron, Mystic Rectangle, Novile Uranus, Pluto, Semisquare Uranus, spring, spring equinox, Trine Pluto, Uranus, Venus, Venus Novile, Venus Novile Uranus, Venus Semiquare, Venus Semisquare Uranus, Venus Uranus, vernal equinox
2016-03 W12: Forecasts for Week 12 of 2016
The Vernal Equinox is March 19th / 20th depending on your location (with Venus conjunct Neptune on the same day), and the next lunation (a Aries / Libra Full Moon) follows on March 23rd (Jupiter perfects a square to Saturn a few hours earlier on the same day). You already feel Jupiter / Saturn (especially the financial markets do), and this is the second of three with the first being last fall.
Focused Yods are also present this month, and we can “get things done” during these periods (absent other considerations such as v/c moons):
Focused Yod Enters March 12 2016 10:52:06 pm (CST +6:00) Focused Yod Leaves March 14 2016 12:32:31 pm (CDT +5:00) Focused Yod Enters Mar 17 2016 4:52:40 pm (CDT +5:00) Focused Yod Leaves Mar 20 2016 8:53:56 am (CDT +5:00)
Moon is v/c from 4:47 AM CDT until 4:04 PM CDT. Since Daylight Savings Time went into effect overnight, the accompanying void seems somehow appropriate. Slow down, be careful, avoid major purchases or commitments, and find some time to center yourself as Spring approaches. Later tonight, after Moon enters Gemini, Moon squares Venus (Pisces) and opposes Mars (Sagittarius) to form a T-Square. Chances are good that this is much ado about nothing.
Outer Planets: Jupiter (law, legal, higher education, long distance travel, and people related to these topics) perfects a long term opposition to Ceres (prosperity in general and food in particular) and issues related to these “come to a head” either over the weekend (a few days before), today, or in the next few days. Two outer planet quincunxes perfect, also make this a bit of an unpleasant day. (Jupiter quincunx Pallas, Chiron quincunx Astraea)
International Math Day, Pi Day, or Einstein’s Birthday: take your pick. (“All of the above” is the right answer here.) Informally, the Moon forms a very loose grand cross with an opposition to Saturn and squares to Neptune and Jupiter. You will either accomplish much or nothing at all. (No in-betweens on this one.)
Mercury squares Saturn, forcing you to pay attention to detail, but the perfection of Venus square Mars distracts you with issues of love and sex (or, if those don’t apply, family, power, & money). Outer planets are relatively quiet, but Uranus triseptile Juno suggests that a kind move that is helpful to a family member who deserved better treatment in the past is a very good idea today. But today is very important because of the Diamond Pattern present today along with other patterns. In fact, the patterns tell us that this may be one of the most important days (or several days) this year, maybe in several years.
A Diamond Pattern (rare) is present today and starts March 14 2016 4:13:20 pm (CDT +5:00) and continues until March 14 2016 8:35:22 pm (CDT +5:00).
A Mystic Rectangle is present late in the day and tomorrow and makes this, possibly, one of the best two days for art and creativity:
Mystic Rectangle Enters Mar 14 2016 9:05:45 pm (CDT +5:00) Mystic Rectangle Leaves Mar 15 2016 8:08:02 am (CDT +5:00)
A series of Thor’s Hammer Patterns are also present, so watch your temper and focus all that energy into “getting things done” (especially if they are artistic in nature).
Again, the patterns tell us that March 14th of 2016 may be one of the most important days (or several days) this year, maybe in several years. The entire week is important. Jupiter Trine Pluto with a Grand Quintile is an important turning point for some people, especially artists and other creatives. We are setting the stage for the upcoming full moon / lunar eclipse.
Tuesday March 15th (Ides of March)
[Written in retrospective.] Today a number of important elections occur. Given the aspects and patterns of Monday and Wednesday, we believe you will see significant changes / events occur. Mercury (Pisces) opposes Jupiter (Virgo), and Mercury also is sextile Pluto (Capricorn). The three, together, form a triangular pattern that is yet another indicator of powerful changes.
Venus also perfects a semisquare to Uranus, adding both a sense of urgency and a sense of weirdness to the day. Capture those unexpected insights if you cannot put them into practice today so that you can followup on them on another day if necessary. But, if you can, take advantage of the “luck” of perfection of Jupiter Trine Pluto tomorrow to accomplish something amazing.
Jupiter Trine Pluto perfects today, the second in a series of three. A Grand Quintile is also present earlier in the day, and that is a rare pattern that can produce powerful insights (genius level) as well as bode well for the development of creative works. Take advantage of the rare opportunity that today presents as best you can. Days like today are rare indeed.
We note that the Moon is very busy today, perfecting seven aspects (not including higher order aspects such as quintiles and septiles). The afternoon and evening has a series of lunar trines on this traditional Irish holiday (the date of St. Patrick’s death), and we expect the evening to go well for most people (except anyone who consumes too much in the way of mood altering substances and contributes to an accident or other harmful situation).
Mercury conjunct Chiron today tells us that we have communications and transportation related to health, education or both. Much of today is about processing the earlier three days of the week.
A relatively benevolent Moon v/c begins after midnight (Moon Trine Sun) and ends near 4 AM CDT with the entry of the Moon into Leo. The moon is more quiet today than yesterday, with quincunx aspects to Venus (afternoon) and Neptune (evening). You may encounter a few glitches, but for most people they will be forgetten in a day or two and certainly by next week.
Outer planet aspects are far more busy (yesterday was relatively quiet with a Ceres / Uranus aspect bring a surprise regarding our prosperity (“The Visa is maxed out? Again?)).
Mars sesquiquadrate Uranus brings us some sense of urgency (possibly anger) to “get things done.” Chiron opposite North Node (“Rahu” to some) means it is conjunct the South Node (“Ketu”) and, therefore, we have a temptation to “take the easy way out” or “cut corners” regarding some issue involving healthcare, education, or both. (Don’t do it!)
Pallas does BiQuintile Hygeia, and we CAN have a brilliant insight into how to solve problems today. Just focus your efforts, do not get derailed, do not cut corners, and do the work necessary.
In most of the United States, except the Eastern Time Zone (EDT), the Vernal Equinox greets us late tonight. (EU / UK experience this a half past 5 or half past 6 or later depending upon time zone.)
Sun biseptiles Saturn, and we should consider resolving some old karma or helping someone less fortunate than ourselves or both. Sun quintiles Pluto, and we may encounter a very ingenious idea that either (a) helps us with the biseptiles (helping someone else) or (b) gives us a gift in the form of a smart idea that comes from providing said help. In any case, they go together and they set the stage for the days to come at least until the Summer Solstice (late June) or possibly as long as the Vernal Equinox of next year (late March). Venus septile Pluto confirms this emphasis on helping others.
Venus novile Uranus provides us with a gift of some sort this evening, an insight or useful skill, likely resulting from helping others (or maybe an insight because we failed to help; those can be hard lessons sometimes).

2016-03 W11: Forecasts for Week 11 of 2016
March 8th is the next lunation, and it is a Solar Eclipse (New Moon). Many states (including Texas) switch to Daylight Savings Time on the Sunday that follows.
After last week, you may want a break but Sun square Saturn will not give you one. Duty calls in some form, maybe business or family, and you must attend to it. Much chatter will emerge, and some of it may be continued disputes form the recent Mercury / Mars aspect (and change of signs). Lessons can be learned and skills can be developed. Pay attention. Get things done. And, when you get a chance, give yourself a break and get some rest anyway.
That would be enough, but Jupiter quincunx Uranus perfects today. You have felt it building for the last few weeks in the form of a sense of false hopes or miscommunications between issues of bookkeeping or accounting, healthcare (especially healthcare professionals) and issues involving a battle between order and chaos on one hand, and issues of energy, the ability to accomplish tasks, possibly anger or violence, and leadership. It is all very complex, and you will have to identify how it applies in your particular situation. But, some time this weekend through the upcoming eclipse you will likely see things “come to a head” in some way. Change is afoot, and “things” will be different after Tuesday.
Mercury semisquares Uranus and any angry words we have spoken in the last few days resurface and may be amplified. For some people, they will be broadcast and re-broadcast. Be careful what you say. Vesta (traditions and “doing things the way we have always done them” is void until 6:50 PM CST and this further contributes to “things” going awry and unintended consequences. You may have some good ideas (Mars quintile Jupiter), but consider writing them down and saving them for another day. A Solar Eclipse perfects tomrrow and the Moon is very “old.” That makes this a better time to “clean house” (literally or figuratively) and reflect rather than take action on new projects.
Today is the day of the Solar Eclipse, a very special type of New Moon. Sun and Moon join together and each oppose Jupiter (with each individual opposition perfecting at slightly different times on this same day in most time zones). Saturn (Sagittarius) squares this combination to form a T-Square. Virgo / Pisces (and Sagittarius) issues are at the forefront as we begin a new cycle in more than one way. The New Moon governs the 28 day lunar cycle, but the messages of the eclipse apply at least until the other eclipses later this year. Ceres (prosperity in general and food in particular) BiQuintiles Black Moon Lilith (a point governing taboo issues in general and taboo sexual practices in particular). This is a difficult aspect to interpret, and we suggest you identify how it applies in your individual situation. Pallas BiQuintiles the North Node (another point, associated with karma), and we may have some important ideas about how to handle difficult “karmic” situations in our life.
Whether perfection of the eclipse fell in on yesterday in your time zone or on today, you will still “feel” it. As we move further past the eclipse, we can start thinking about taking action on some of the ideas that we have noted on previous days.
BUT, the Moon remains v/c (void of course) from yesterday until 1:39 PM CST. That means we have to wait until some time after 1:39 PM CST to make our desired launch today. Keep in mind that the further you can move away from a “sign change boundary” the better (unless you have Venus or Jupiter near the cusp of Aries). That means later in the day as much as possible.
With the North Node semisextile Black Moon Lilith (both points in space, so to some degree this reflects the Earth’s alignment at this time), we have taboo topics (especially taboo sexual topics) bubbling to the surface and may face some “hard karma” in dealing with them. Today is anything but ordinary for many (if not most) people. Venus Novile Pluto says we can learn a lesson here (both can, and do, deal with Love (Venus) and Sex (Pluto)). Venus is also TriSeptile the North Node, and this brings the idea that doing a totally selfless (best if anonymous, also) act to help someone else might relieve at least a little of our “hard karma.”
Thursday March 10th
This is a busy day with a number of higher order aspects perfecting. We note Sun conjunct Chiron today. This is an annual aspect that brings health, education, mentoring, and “the Wounded Healer” to the forefront. Venus quadrinovile Jupiter tells us that we can learn an important lesson or skill that will serve us well in the future. Keep in mind that this might seem like something trivial because Quadrinoviles often bring us skills that are useful in thefuture (but not yet currently). Mercury novile Uranus may bring us one or more additional lessons. Venus quintile Saturn may also bring us a smart, but practical, idea. Septiles suggest that we help someone less fortunate than ourselves.
Friday March 11th
Today you may feel an urgent need to get things done, but that may not go so well unless you are working writing poetry or song lyrics, doing a photoshoot, or making a video or movie. Scammers and thieves will tend to be more active today, so make certain you do not believe anything a stranger says or buy what they try to sell you. Even family members may be suspect. Stick to the poetry or photography.
Saturday March 12th
Venus enters Pisces today. This is great for creatives, one of the best possible situations, but not so good for finances. Similar to yesterday (except that it is with us for a few weeks), this empowers scammers. Put off major purchases for a few weeks if at all possible. Certainly avoid speculative endeavors. As mentioned before, the best use of these few weeks is in developing your abilities with writing poetry or lyrics, photography, or videography. Other arts may flourish also, but the ones explicitly mentioned work best.
Sun Conjunct Neptune 2016-02-28 (Square Key + Hele)

Sun Conjunct Neptune 2016-02-28 (Square Key + Hele)
The aspect is great for poets and photographers, but it is not so good for signing contracts or forming alliances. Nevertheless, a Hele is present, indicating that you can form a long term alliance at this time. But, the Square Key is telling us that (whether or not you form the alliance) you will learn “lessons.” Form the alliance, and you will learn “lessons” (aka work through Karma). Refuse to form the alliance, and you will pay a price for that, also. Maybe it is just better to take pictures and write poetry today.
Here is the chart for perfection of the aspect, filtered for the Square Key:

For many people this is either a day of rest or a routine workday without disruption. Venus trines Jupiter, and this is one of the ultimate “feel good” aspects. You might overeat or spend too much money or overindulge in some other way. That is the main “danger” for most people. Sun is quincunx Jupiter, so misunderstandings might occur (double check or defer any contract that you might sign). But, for most people, it is mostly a good day. Enjoy if you can.

Sun Sextile Saturn 2016-02-03 (W06)
We do not find any aspect patterns, so we focus on sextiles at this time. Three occur on this date: (1) Sun Sextile Saturn; (2) Mercury Sextile Chiron; and (3) Mars Sextile Pluto. Today is mostly a benevolent day, a “nose to the grindstone” workday, with some extra energy from Mars Sextile Pluto. Here is the chart:
We note that (1) this is a repeating annual aspect that (2) occurs in mirror images (twice a year) and (3) the next aspect (the mirror image) is October 4th and affects roughly a week long window (as does this one). The previous Sun Sextile Saturn was on September 23, 2015, and the conjunction occurred November 29, 2015. A check of your notes (or diary) on (or near) those dates might provide insights to your current situation.

Thursday January 28th 2016
Thursday is a curious day in which we begin to feel a shift or see a turning of the tides. Lunar aspects are nearly absent. Major aspects are totally absent. Higher order aspects tend to be influential and set the stage for a very “energetic” weekend. The only conventional aspect is Sun semisextile Neptune, ordinarily a routine (annual) mild aspect that is typically overlooked. You will feel it today, and it will tell you to both look to the future and to think of those less fortunate than yourself. For some people, this is a good day to write a will or engage in similar estate planning. Thinking of a future without yourself, and how your life can benefit those left behind, is a good use of this day.
Venus quintile Chiron confirms this. Quintiles are about innovation, and Chiron is about teaching and healing and especially healing by means of teacher. Mentor relationships are important today, and that dovetails well with the Sun semisextile Neptune aspect.
Sun is novile Chiron, and that means we can learn an important lesson or skill as we reach out to help others. Venus is biseptile Jupiter, again emphasizing a “karmic” feel to all of this. A late night Venus square brings a rough spot, but it will pass as we move into the ongoing powerful issues to be addressed this weekend.

Mercury Conjunct Pluto 2015-01-29 (Thor’s Hammer)
We can add little to describe the third in this series except to say that it brackets what has been a tough window for some people (form Jan 22 to Jan 29). The previous perfections were on December 19, 2015 and January 22, 2016. The good news is that this should clear out in a few days, and February should bring some relief.

Mercury Conjunct Pluto 2015-01-22 (Thor’s Hammer)
It’s back. (Maybe we should say, “It’s baaaack.”) Remember the Mercury / Pluto conjunction of December 19th 2015? (If not, click here.) We hope you made notes of the events in your life and the events of the day, as we recommended. This is your chance to ferret out how such aspects apply to YOUR life.
That said, we present the chart for today’s Mercury Conjunct Pluto (with Thor’s Hammer) noting that the square is a bit tighter. And, we will see this aspect perfect again on January 29th. You will feel the influence of this aspect throughout the window of time from January 22nd to January 29th (and probably a few days on each side, before and after).

Keep notes, again. This is a recurring aspect that comes back in different forms, affecting different areas of life.
