Appulse Lunar Eclipse (FM) 2016-03-23 (Hard Rectangle)
Let us face it, the big thing about this “full moon” is that it is an eclipse. Following immediately on the heels of that fact, in importance, is the presence of a “Hard Rectangle.” Hard Rectangles are a newer pattern and tricky to interpret. They also tend to be rare, and that adds to the difficulty of categorizing them. Energetically, they resemble a Thor’s Hammer (aka God’s Fist), but they are not necessarily violent (but could be).
The attack in Brussels, less than 24 hours prior to the perfection of the eclipse (and Hard Rectangle) lends credence to the idea that they may be associated with violence. But the energy associated with them likely CAN be channeled into more constructive endeavors.
In any case, here is the chart, filtered for the HR, and in basic form:

For those new to astrology, and trying to learn the basics, we present the same chart in “Beginners” format:
Since we consider this to be a particularly important chart, we will also present it AGAIN in “Horary format” to present certain data useful to people who need that information. (i.e. “traditionalists”):

Since the discussion of the events in Brussels will likely be covered in depth elsewhere, we will avoid in-depth analysis at this time (reserving the right for later) and only note that (1) similar to 9/11, these occurred in a void, and (2) these occurred less than 24 hours prior to the eclipse / hard rectangle.
A Square Key and Hele are also present, both long term and both discussed elsewhere recently on this blog. In summary, (1) important alliances will be formed during this window of time and (2) important lessons will be learned.
That said, what else can we say about this particular eclipse? Well, a critical generational group will be profoundly affected by this eclipse because the transiting Sun/Moon will form the Apex of a yod involving natal Neptune (Scorpio) and natal Pluto (Virgo) for this group:

If you or someone you know / love is in this group, they will face at this time (possibly today but certainly this year) the MOST IMPORTANT DECISION or decisions that they likely will ever face in their life.
Many decisions are important, but this one unquestionably is of paramount importance. I would go so far as to ignore the nuances and just say “the period from 1956 to 1960, inclusive.” And an argument could easily be made for widening the window to a few years earlier and a few years later.
If you know of anyone in this age group, pass on the news. It might make an important difference.
So, what are the choices? (1) the Eclipse at 3 Aries tells us that we MUST take action. (2) the Neptune leg is passive and just letting things be, but it is in Scorpio, and we will feel changes and “transformation” (possibly losses) if we follow this route. (3) the Pluto leg is in Virgo (and therefore requires work) and focuses on health and healthcare as well as accounting and bookkeeping. In the end, no matter which leg we pick, if we are alive in a few years (as this group moves through its second Saturn return), we may not resemble our former selves. A radical transformation will happen. That is a certainty.
All we have said about the Hard Rectangle (energy, possibly violence), Hele (alliances), and Square Key (lessons) will especially apply here and likely over the next year (or longer). The long window of repeating Jupiter Square Saturn aspects, including todays perfection, confirms the longer term quality of this eclipse / hard rectangle.
If you are not in this age group, do not think you are immune. Chances are good you are connected to someone in this group in an important way, and their chances will have an impact on you as well.
Our final note is this: based on both the Hard Rectangle AND what happened in Brussels yesterday, we are living in dangerous times. Be careful.

It takes a lot of drive but also an infinite amount of kindness to support ourselves through the moments of challenges, confusion and distress in our lives. For many, the last weeks have brought an unusual level of emotional intensity. In the same way that in a blizzard one cannot see far ahead, during the last weeks it could have been harder to see objectively what was going on. We can feel that something is emerging but we don’t know yet what it is or where it is leading us.
The time of Aries is associated with new beginning and renewed hope after the long sleep of winter. The Sun is calling us to put ourselves out there like sprouts willfully bursting through the comfort of the earth into the open. It invites us to meet life head on but with grace, peace and harmony. How has the journey with the massive, oceanic, CHIRONIC Total Solar Eclipse in PISCES been for you???
We’re still in it’s wave, of course, since Eclipse effects extent over 1 – 2 months (depending on intensity and one’s own activation). Plus, there is still a lot of planetary energy in PISCES, gradually moving over to ARIES – Spring in Becoming.
So let’s take it easy with the washing out of old vibrations – maybe even residues of the whole PISCES Age era, and our own or ‘inherited’ loyalty to / conditioning by it.
How have you been ‘entangled’ in (unevolved) PISCEAN paradigms (co-dependency of victim – perpetrator / persecutor – saviour; martyrdom; various addictions)?
The Total Solar Eclipse brought consciousness to it, and it shows us it’s time to release those bonds in ‘the old kingdom’. Catalysts may have shown up, to support the process, and helping…

Lunar Eclipse in Libra for March 23rd 2016
Honestly I don’t feel like I know what this stuff means most the time. Maybe I’ll capture little glimmers of truth nuggets that resonate to the current astrological atmosphere, but symbols are archetypal which means they possess infinite potential meanings, as long as those meanings resonate with the energy of that symbol. So I’m going to attempt to free my critic for a little while and see what I can access by playing around with the energies activated for this Lunar Eclipse.
The moon is in Libra being eclipsed by Sun in Aries, which means the normal way of viewing others is temporarily eclipsed to show our true face as only one self. Everyone around us as merely mirrors to reflect back who we really are as One-Self. To play out itself through infinite characters in order to know our-self better…

This Full Moon lights up partnerships, particularly career partnering and the public image you cut together as a dynamic duo.
What have you been wishing for, particularly what seeds of intent have you sewn and watered with action and attention over the last six months since the New Moon in Libra? Now we see the harvest. Is the resulting fruit succulent and juicy? Full of flavour and verve? Or is it rather stringy and barren? Is it even the variety or indeed what you thought you’d planted?
The Full Moon brings to light the truth of your efforts so look closely, does it FEEL right? Does it meet your needs and nurture you? Decide weather to formalise your alliance. You have the chance to hit the reset button if any mistaken identities can be built upon, reframed or negotiated, or if it’s time to scrap it and go back to…

Hello, hope you’ve all had a good spring equinox (or autumn if you’re southern hemisphere folks!).
I took a month off last time, due to personal problems at the time, but am here peering down that rabbit hole of the universe once again.
We’ve had another fascinating month in astrology, with the earliest equinox for 120 years and two eclipses this month. The second, occurring on the 23rd with the Full moon. We had an eclipse in that crazy September full moon (in Aries) so it is on the same axis as the one we are having this week (Libra Sun-Aries Moon in September/Aries Sun-Libra Moon in March).

Do you remember that amazing full lunar eclipse, last September 27th? Were you able to watch it that bright evening? We are about to have its mirror image, in penumbral form, on Wednesday, March 23rd. If you live on the East coast of North America, you will see the beginning stages of the eclipse (5:30 am) before she sets as the Sun rises.
Both lunar eclipses are within a degree of each other, but in opposite signs. We get to taste both ends of the spectrum, which ushers in the equinox season. If you combine the two charts, you get a new Moon experience in both Aries and Libra in the form of a full Moon! !
What do you remember from that period of your life? What needs to be repaired or revisited?
Both the fall and spring equinox partake of the balance between dark and…

Wednesday has 3 aspects that are very significant for the next 6 months and beyond. Of course, we have the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, but it is sandwiched between 2 other aspects that will flavor the next 6 months as well.
At 6:15am Jupiter Retrograde at 16:24 Virgo Squares Saturn at 16:24 Sagittarius.
We have been feeling this aspect strongly for the last week. It is CHALLENGING us to expand (Jupiter) by focusing (Saturn) on that ONE THING that we need to… our new philosophy around global ideas (Sagittarius) and service to others (Virgo).
For each of us there is a special story as that is told by the House position of these 2 Planets in our Natal charts. We are being stretched to seek a higher consciousness perspective in these 2 areas of our lives.
At 8:00am the Moon at 3:17 Libra Opposes the Sun at 3:17 Aries creating the…

“A penumbral lunar eclipse occurs when the Sun, Earth and Moon align in an almost straight line.
When this happens, the Earth blocks some of the Sun’s light from directly reaching the Moon’s surface, and covers a small part of the Moon with the outer part of its shadow, also known as the penumbra.
The rest receives direct sunlight and can be as bright as a full Moon. Because of this, it is often hard to differentiate between a normal full Moon and a penumbral eclipse of the Moon.”~TimeandDate.com
“I find I am constantly being encouraged to pluck out some one aspect of myself and present this as the meaningful whole, eclipsing or denying the other parts of self.”~Audre Lorde
Eclipses fascinate me. They are significant energy release boosters when, with awareness, we allow them to eclipse out that which no longer serves. What’s so very interesting about…

For those of you who were previously unaware, there will be a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse taking place during the full moon this upcoming Wednesday, March 23rd 2016. The Eclipse will occur at 12:01 Universal time and will be visible in Australia, North America, Antarctica, and much of Asia and South America.
Regardless of whether or not the eclipse will be visible from your home, this is not a night to ignore spiritually. All full moons are energetic peaks which hold significant power and provide those who are mindful with a great opportunity for manifesting their desires into their lives. (Think: When the moon is waxing, or growing larger, you can ‘grow’ things into your life–use the waxing moon and full moon nights for manifestation. When the moon is waning, or reducing in size, you can reduce things in your life–use the waning moon and new moon nights for cleansing and dwindling…

2016-03 W13: Forecasts for Week 13 of 2016

The Vernal Equinox was March 19th / 20th depending on your location (with Venus conjunct Neptune on the same day), and the next lunation (a Aries / Libra Lunar Eclipse (a special type of Full Moon)) wad on March 23rd (Jupiter perfects a square to Saturn a few hours earlier on the same day). Jupiter / Saturn has been exerting ongoing influence (especially on the financial markets), and this is the second of three with the first being last fall.
2016-03 W13: Forecasts for Week 13 of 2016
For the eastern coast of the United States (aka the “East Coast”), the Vernal Equinox occurs today at half past midnight. (To determine the time for your locale, click here.) Venus (Pisces) joins Neptune (Pisces), and this is a very good “feel good” day but a terrible day to sign contracts or make long term commitments. Spiritual endeavors tend to prosper (as long as no long term commitment is involved). Pluto is active in higher order aspects to Pallas (ingenious plans, especially military in nature) and Vesta (traditions). Expect issues involving death and dying (or taxes) to surface today and be blended into spirituality.
Today is the “Ecclesiastical” beginning of Spring (used as part of the determination of when Easter occurs). Moon is in Virgo all day and quite active. Mercury enters Aries in the evening and is void (v/c) prior to that. Communications and transportation problems may emerge during this window; do not buy a vehicle, computer, or phone during this time. And, whether we are aware of it or not, we are preparing in some way on some level for what the upcoming Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon Aries / Libra) will bring us.
Moon becomes void only a few hours later, making it difficult to accomplish anything lasting today. Stick to routine tasks and plans for action after the eclipse on Wednesday.
Moon is void in Virgo all day long, entering Libra 10:23 PM PDT / 11:23 PM MDT in the swestern part of the United States. Again, stick to routine tasks and plans for action after the eclipse on Wednesday.
We have a double header with Jupiter Square Saturn today along with the Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon Aries / Libra). Note that Jupiter / Saturn will perfect again May 26th, and this aspect exerts continuing influence from February 14th of 2016 until October 28th of 2016. Chances are good this week, maybe today, will mark an important milestone in this window. The eclipse punctuates that.
Sun conjoins Mercury circa 3:11 PM CDT, and the window form 2:40 PM until 3:40 PM CDT is particularly useful (Cazimi) for key actions involving communications or transportation. You can buy that car, computer or phone if you can seal the entire deal during this window.
A Hard Rectangle also forms on the 23rd:
Hard Rectangle Enters March 23 2016 5:56:47 am (CDT +5:00) Hard Rectangle Leaves March 23 2016 3:32:35 pm (CDT +5:00)
Mercury trines Mars today, and you should accomplish all you can prior to Moon becoming void of course after its opposition to Uranus. The aspect (the opposition) can bring some very smart ideas, but you need to wait until you have more information, some time Friday afternoon (tomorrow), before you attempt to put those into action. Take this “time off” to do as much research as you can and lay the foundation without making any major commitments to move forward.
At 1:10 PM CDT the Moon moves into Scorpio, but you still may want to wait a few hours to put into action your plans from yesterday evening since the Moon is in the “too early to tell” period (also known as a “sign change boundary”). You MIGHT can make “it” work (whatever “it” is), but the venture will be risky and require significant concentration to make “it” work.
Venus (Pisces) opposes Jupiter (Virgo) and squares Saturn (Sagittarius) today, forming a mutable T-Square. The T-Square will give you great energy, but mutable T’s are about finishing the tasks at hand (bring them to completion), cleaning up, and laying the groundwork to launch the next major endeavor.
As far as “getting things done” goes, Saturday is a powerhouse, the best day this week. If you did not launch your new project yesterday, then launch it today and accomplish all you can today. Set leisure activities aside for another day, and focus on accomplishing the most important tasks today, especially anything part of a larger project.
Sun (Aries) trines Mars (Sagittarius), Venus (Pisces) sextiles Pluto (Capricorn), and the Moon has MOSTLY favorable aspects (two small glitches, one in the early morning hours and one shortly before 8 AM CDT; you can move past these and SHOULD do that). Get’er done!
Week 14 (W14)
Sunday March 27th
Moon turns void, and yesterday’s windows close. If you did not achieve completion, then you must put it on hold or stick to routine activities only (possibly at risk even with those). Today is not a “bad” day, but you will find it difficult to achieve lasting results today. Use this as a “day of rest” from yesterday and stick to cleaning up and planning for forward action on another day.

2016-03-20 Venus Conjunct Neptune (Pisces)
We will not do a “deep dive” here on this aspect since (1) others have covered it in depth and (2) it occurs on the day of the Vernal Equinox of 2016. (Duplicating our analysis is uncessary.) We find four patterns (1) a Grand Fire Trine (which several others have mentioned); (2) a Yod (decision) that has been ongoing; (3) a Hele that is longer term and discussed on the Vernal Equinox page (and elsewhere); and (4) a Square Key that is longer term and discussed on the Vernal Equinox page (and elsewhere).
You may also want to compare what is happening in your life today to what happened with Venus Sextile Neptune (in January of 2016) and Venus Opposite Neptune (October 16, 2015).
That said, we present the perfection of Venus conjunct Neptune (Pisces) filtered for the Grand Fire Trine:
Given the spiritual / meditative quality of this aspect, and the high energy quality of a Grand Fire Trine, we recommend some form of “moving mediation” such as walking a labyrinth or maybe a bike ride on a bike path in a park or something similar. Pictures and video are a good idea at this time, and “creatives” (poets, writers, photographers, and videographers) can produce “break through” work today.
An ongoing Yod requires a decision of us:
A Hele, an ongoing pattern, requires us to check our allegiances and who we wish to have as allies on a long term basis:
Finally, a Square Key (another longer term / ongoing pattern) tells us we may encounter lessons disguised as “annoyances.” Pay attention and learn from them.

As much as possible, enjoy the day. It is the first day of Spring.
