Marysville School Shootings

The Marysville school shootings occurred the day after the New Moon and the day before the Mercury Direct Station, sandwiched between the two.  After some of the earlier activity (Rosetta and so forth), an event of this kind is not surprising.

What seems a bit odd, however, is the timing.  (Why sandwiched between the Eclipse and the Direct Station?  Midpoints of some kind?)

Here is the chart for when “the first 911 calls came in“:

As one can easily see, it is a bit of a messy chart.  But we expect that most of the key events have occurred once 911 calls start happening.  Consequently, a rectified chart seems in order.  (This situation seems commonplace in school shootings and certain other similar tragedies.)

Here is one rectified chart.  (Note that, now, a 12th house stellium results from setting the chart not quite an hour earlier.)

The 12th house often represents victims, and in this chart it is full.  (Compare this to the Boston Marathon Bombing chart.  There, the 7th has Neptune and Chiron (the house of “open enemies” has the two brothers), and the 8th house (the “death house,” and one of the three water houses, along with the 12th and the 4th) has a stellium.)  We also note that this chart (Saturn rising) has the 12th house cusp at 29 Scorpio (the most “fated” degree of that sign).

Leo / Aquarius are intercepted here, and Jupiter is within the interception.  Curiously, Jaylen Fryberg (the shooter) had been elected “Homecoming Prince.”  (Leo is associated with “royalty,” and intercepted signs or houses are (severely) distressed.)  Juno (trust and betrayal) is also nearby in Leo (and intercepted as well).  Both Jupiter and Juno are in the 9th house of schools.

We also see Chiron (the Wounded Healer) just past the 4th house cusp (typically “home” but also graves and “final resting place”), and Neptune approaching it.  (Again, compare this to the Boston Marathon Bombing chart.  Both charts have Chiron/Neptune at Angular positions.  Also, compare this chart to that of the Sandy Hook shootings.)

Since this is nearly an hour prior to the first 911 calls, we are guessing that the true “beginning” of the event was when the text messages were initially sent, and that the shooter began sending the text messages to “invite” the victims to “lunch.”  We also note that, on a somewhat larger scale, Saturn is moving into an opposition with Algol.

Still, this chart lacks the clarity of some other charts we have analyzed.  (We had a similar question regarding location on the much cleaner West, Texas Explosion chart.)  In many ways, this chart (and event) remain an enigma.

(We add, in parting, that Sun (peregrine, a thief) is quincunx (false hopes) Astraea (justice).

Translation: an injustice that will possibly never be resolved.)

Perhaps certain details will always remain a mystery.

You do have an interesting chart, given your 12th house stellium (cluster of four or more planets, at least two of which are NOT personal planets) and Sun conjunct Pluto (exact) in the 11th house of friends, surprises, (and sometimes bribes).  With Jupiter in the 10th and near Midheaven (universities, legal system, and sometimes churches), you should consider a career at a university or in the courts.  Depending on your background and abilities, you might should consider being a teacher or an attorney.  The asteroid Astraea is also present in the 10th, and that points in the direction of the legal system.

The 12th house stellium indicates that you will tend to be involved with institutions, but you can (at least potentially) choose which ones.  Univeristies or courts might be preferable to jails or mental health facilities for you.  You do have to be careful regarding addictions, whether your own or people who are close to you.

I suspect that the energy of the legal system has come to you rather than you coming to it.  If that is true, you should at least consider a shift in career that allows you to harness that energy to benefit you.

Joseph C and the Memoirs of His Adventures

Let me re-interate, Joseph, that you need to write your memoirs.  While I am unsure of the precise details as to why this is true, I can tell you that time is short for you.  That does not mean that you will die soon, but it does mean that a window is closing for you soon.  You must write your memoirs.  Here is how to do it.  Use either Word or Scrivener to organize your work.  Write as fast and furious as you can.  (That means you use the word count feature to tell you how many words you have written each day, and you make certain you write at least 1000 words per day, every day.  Like Hemingway, you stop dead center in the middle of a thought each day to prevent “writers block” when you start the next day.)

Give yourself a deadline.  Heck, *I* will give you a deadline: September 30th.  You have to write the end first, and work backwards.  That is, you write the last chapter, and it begins like this: “Here is why I am writing this:”  Then you write the previous chapter and work backwards.

On September 30th, you will publish the entire thing, by midnight, as a first edition on .MOBI format in Amazon’s Kindle marketplace.  (Note that you can find ebooks there on ebook publishing, and several blogs discuss the idea, such as this one and this one.)

Although I do the astrology work I do for “free,” my real payment is (paradoxically) anonymous recognition.  So, I want a credit.  (Grandtrines, at grandtrines.wordpress.com, gave me the kick in the seat of the pants to write this.)  Maybe I will publish a “Grand Trines” book myself.

If you are still alive and able bodied on October 1st, you can NOW re-write the chapters (and add material if you wish).  At the end of October, you publish again, but this is now the 2nd edition.  The main thing is, you need this work PUBLISHed somewhere “just in case” the window closes.

If you are still alive and able bodied on November 1st, you can take what you have written and use it for the basis of a novel (work of fiction) by participating in Nanowrimo.  Start at the end again.  Publish in .MOBI format to the Kindle marketplace on December 31st.  And, I want another credit!

I am a sag with a stellum of scorpio planets in the 12th- venusconjnept conjunct ascend conjuct moon….which are also conj sun merc in sag.
When saturn and pluto was in scorpio in 84 I became very ill for a yr….later I was diagnosed with hiv which progressed to aids. I did not take meds(stubborn) until 5 yrs ago. I am now a pretty vibrant individual…I could fill volumes on my “affair” with pluto as it touched all of my personal planets. I witnessed tremendous death in this life. I am looking forward to this transit. It seems that once you align with pluto and discard what is asked of you the light bursts thru. I watched 2 dear friends lose their lives when saturn transited their 12th just a few months ago…I have a hope that I will release more ego-more baggage- more fear…and maybe if it is my time to leave the planet…Im ready.
But I also sense a great power building within me…pluto in my 2nd nept in 4th, chiron return,uran in 5th, jupt in 7th is filling me with creativity and God….I am full.
….I am trying not to hold my breath for the worst- I am praying for more release of that which holds me apart from God/wellbeing. Can the mutual reception aid in my release? Pluto will almost be sextiling my venus/nept when saturn is on top of them.

Although I can answer your specific questions, the prescription (maybe I should be Dr. Grand Trines?) I mentioned above should address your needs.  This is particularly true with your Jupiter/Chiron conjunction and the ongoing Chiron return in your chart.  (You can certainly ask questions, and we can discuss it in comments.)

LiL’s Jupiter Return Causes Problems

Reader “Lost in Life” (hereafter “LiL”) writes the following:

I am in a real mess rightnow. I have lost the relationship of my life, he just broke up a week ago

(and more, but it has been omitted because some is a bit personal).

First of all, let me say that our posts and discussions on this blog (or any other blog) are no substitute for appropriate professional advice of any kind.  They are not substitutes for legal, medical, psychological, financial or anything other remotely similar kind of advice.  In fact, if you want detailed personal astrological advice, then you should consult a local astrologer personally.  Furthermore, the focus on this blog is the analysis of patterns and mostly fairly abstract speculation about world events.

But, lately, I have made an exception and have been performing a few analyses for fun.  Soon, the other part(s) of my life will become busy, and I simply will not be able to answer many, likely most, of your posts.  And, when I do, the answers may come anywhere from two weeks to two months later.  If you can handle that, then feel free to ask.

Now that we have that out of the way, let’s proceed with this analysis.

LiL has some profound life challenges.  In the language of some, she has “lost everything.”  That is rarely true, and we suspect that she does have some resources available.  But, this is a difficult period for her.  In addition to a breakup with her sweetheart, she has had to return to India from London.  As she writes, we come to believe that London is truly home for her despite her heritage.  We have a saying that describes a similar situation here in Texas: “I wasn’t born a Texan, but I got here as soon as I could.”  Personally, I feel that way about Dallas (obviously including Plano).

As in some other cases, we used Allen Edwall’s program Astro123 to produce that chart.

LiL correctly observes that she has quite a bit of 12th house activity.  To be sure, this is never easy.  At UAC98, someone once asked an astrologer named Lee Lehman “What should we do about the 12th house?”  Without missing a beat, she quipped, “get rid of it.”

LiL has her Sun, Mercury, and Uranus in the 12th.  The North Node (Fate) is there also.  If you read this blog, then you know that Uranus (aka Prometheus) is about “surprises.”  It is also about enlightenment.  LiL struggles with the question of whether or not she has a stroke of genius or a stroke of insanity on a regular basis.  What is difficult to tell is whether it causes her more pain or those close to her.  We suspect that she feels the most pain.

She has a hidden gift here: Mercury is essentially conjunct Uranus.  LiL can tap ideas that are genius, or near genius at times.  The planets are in the 12th, and (in addition to representing delusions, deception, and alcohol & drug abuse) that can represent psychic ability.  This combination is a bit like a wild horse.  In an untamed form, it can (and often does) destroy the possessor.  With proper cultivation and training, it can be one of the greatest gifts imaginable.  And, Mercury/Uranus is associated with writers.

Sun near ascendant is squared by Saturn at Midheaven.  This is a similar situation.  Sun/Saturn in angular positions brings lifelong tribulations but can produce individuals made of iron.  Saturn at midheaven is associated with academics in general and brilliant writers in particular.  This is a second confirmation of the ability to write brilliantly.

Furthermore LiL has three (3) “fated” planets (last three degrees of a sign): Moon in Pisces, Chiron in Aries, and Jupiter in Taurus.  Note that the three are in sequence.  Once one is aspected, then so are the other two.  LiL’s recent life events correspond to (1) a series of oppositions against the planets in her Scorpio stellium (which also includes Mars) followed by (2) aspects to Moon, Jupiter, and Chiron (in that sequence, and almost simultaneously).  This last sequence is the part that went “boom” in her life.  Jupiter is usually benevolent, but not in LiL’s case.

Something like this happens every twelve years because Jupiter has a twelve year orbit, and a milder version happens at six year intervals.  Further subdividing the twelve year orbit, sometimes three year points can be significant depending on what else is happening.  Here is a transit list for points both in the past and future:

Friday May 30th

Friday is the kind of day that looks like a “Happy Day” for many people if you look at it at a glance. All the “happy aspects,” though, are in fire and air. That favors people such as myself that are primarily fire & air, but not so good for earth and water signs.

Earth and Water

So, here are my recommendations for earth & water signs.

Cancer

If you are a Cancerian, you’ve probably entered your Solar 12th house of downfall and hidden enemies. This happens each year a month before your birthday. That’s true for all signs, not just Cancerians.
That said, it isn’t quite true for all. For example, if you are a Cancerian and your birthday is July 19th, then you won’t enter the Solar 12th house until June 19th. That means you have a window to get 11th house things done.
On the favorable side, this would mean activies with friends, certain kinds of governmental interactions (e.g. Gov’t social workers), electronics, computers, and the internet. If your birthday is June 30th, however, the window has passed.

Capricorn & Scorpio

Capricorns encounter one of two situations: either a “misunderstanding” or a fork in the road (a key decision which is personal and, therefore, I cannot predict). Proceed carefully, and since this is Mercury Retrograde you need to double check the facts.
Pluto & Jupiter are bringing about big changes for Cap, so the decision might be bigger than you realize.
Scorpio is the same as Cap, but Pluto and Jupiter aren’t helping as much. And, Pluto might be forcing Scorp’s to revisit finances, something most of them do easily anyway. However, if you are a Scorp with an alcohol or drug problem, life may be getting rather unpleasant for you this year. If you are 27 to 31 years of age, this is a very good time for you to start getting sober.

Pisces

Pisceans probably had some kind of surprise on Thursday; on Friday they will find it hard to resist some kind of financial “call for action.” This is a very good time to pay bills, pay off debt, and/or “cut up the credit cards.” You know what you have to do. So, “Get r done”!

Taurus

Taurus is a bit like Pisces, except they have a danger of creating some unnecessary debt. The deal you see is a good one, to be sure, but will you be able to service the debt?
Finally, of all the signs, Virgo is facing the biggest decision(s) of all. Please realize that you cannot “not decide.” Even inaction is a decision here, and in some cases it might be negligence. You must make a choice.

Analysis

Let me “show my work” a bit, unlike many other astrologers. Virgo is facing a “yod” (the “aspect” (a pattern, really)) of significant decisions. A Cap with a natal planet in Scorp (Moon? Mercury?) will also have a yod, and that’s true for a Scorp with a planet in Cap. Unlike Scorp, Cap has Jupiter (a HUGE “amplifier” of events, both good and bad) in its sign for roughly the next year. Pluto (death, taxes, and “secret agents” such as government investigators) will be with Cap for about the next 15 to 20 years.

Pisceans will continue to have Uranus “make their lives interesting” for the next few years. The moon in their second house activates finances, and square from Venus and the Sun won’t let them ignore the matter.
Taurus has the moon hiding in the 12th house, our place of downfalls. Cancer, I’ve already described, and I’ll emphasize that the month before your birthday is a good time to “take it easy.”

Fire and Air

This is easy. For the most part, Friday will be a happy day for you. So, if you are Aries, Leo, Sag, Libra, Aquarius, or Gemini, then go out and have fun.
Let me note that if you decide to take some particular action, especially regarding sports, strenuous activity, or starting an exercise program, then you’ve picked a good day. Said differently, despite a tendency to play, this is THE day (for a while) for sports, starting exercise programs, etc.
