Long Term Forecasts

This is a long term project.  Chances are good that it will be incomplete, and others will have to finish the work.  We will do what we can.

Although we have not (yet) read the work of Richard Tarnas, several visitors to this site have recommended that we should.  As far as we can tell, our ideas were developed independently.  However, we have taken down several older pages on the possibility that some of our work may have been predicated on the thinking of others who were indirectly referencing the thoughts of Mr. Tarnas.  (From what little we know of his work, we respect it and agree with it, particularly his ideas about Uranus and Prometheus.)  If we somehow duplicate his work accidentally, we are apologizing in advance.

Software: We use Solar Fire from Astrolabe and Kepler 7 for most of our work.  If you need more specific analysis than you can find here on this blog, we recommend one of these tools or possibly (if you are brave and dedicated) Astrolog or Allen Edwall’s AstroWin software.  (The commercial tools are much easier to learn and use but cost hundreds of dollars.  The “free” tools may take a bit of your time to learn.  You pay one way or the other: time or money (or both).)

• Neptune Sextile Pluto:  This is the longest of the long term aspects (except for questions involving the Precession of the Equinoxes or the Galactic Center).  We start here and work backwards.  The time range we review is from 1800 to 2050.  Some flavor of this aspect is present in EVERY chart in this period, but it is stronger in some charts than others (near the “EXACT” dates).

• Saturn Aspects to Uranus:  Currently only HARD aspects (Conjunction, Opposition, and Square)
