This New Moon has a number of interesting patterns. Also, Jupiter is at 29 Aquarius (The “Anaretic Degree“), a place where making decisions can be difficult. This position for Jupiter also means that Jupiter is “fated” according to some, and will soon move into “too early to tell.” (We recently looked at Uranus in the Anaretic Degree of Aries in the Bonnie and Clyde death chart. We also noted Sun AND Saturn in the Anaretic Degree of different signs on March 18th, 2020, near the time when the public first went into a panic about the Pandemic of 2020.)

Just to be clear, this New Moon signals a turning point, maybe a crisis for both individuals and larger groups, maybe nations, maybe the planet (Earth).

We ignore T-Squares because they are virtually always present in some form (so we only talk about Outer Planet T-Squares or something else unusual / powerful.)

Here are the patterns we have identified associated with this New Moon:

  • Kite (one clear cut kite and several “almost” kites)
  • Grand Trines (these are essential for Kites to exist)
  • Hele (conflicts between groups) (we predict bipartisan efforts will tend to fail at this time)
  • Rosetta (conflicts within groups, shifting allegiances)
  • A Double Yod Key (at least TWO (or more!) major decisions in play)
  • A Square Key (two interlaced Huber Learning Triangles; lessons to be learned from the experiences at this time)

A quick summary of what these patterns mean : (1) the Kite signals an opportunity (but this is a “difficult” opportunity in that it involves Saturn and Chiron; the bottom line is you must WORK for this one!); (2) multiple grand trines are in play (many opportunities; some people will let these pass them by); (3) Hele / Rosetta patterns (treachery is afoot; conflicts exist and allegiances are shifting; “bipartisan” efforts either fail at this time or lead to unintended outcomes; politics becomes even more messy than usual); (4) a Double Yod Key (expect AT LEAST TWO, or more, major decisions at this time); and (5) a Square Key (two interlaced Huber Learning Triangles; keep notes and pay attention; you’ll learn important lessons from this period of time).

Here are the charts for this NM, each filtered for the above patterns:

We start with a version of the chart that specifically focuses on aspects to the Sun. Since the Sun and Moon are precisely aligned in an opposition (a Full Moon is an opposition of the Sun and the Moon), aspects to the Sun are also aspects to the Moon. However, we are showing the Sun to make the point that these aspects are longer lasting, surrounding the FM before and after.

This Full Moon is active (as the previous chart showed). Here are the patterns that are in play here:

  • Grand Trines (a Grand Earth Trine and a Grand Fire Trine)
  • A Kite (and a separate “almost” Kite that we omit)
  • Hard Rectangle (which likely affects Texas and certain other geography but not everyone directly)
  • Thor’s Hammer / God’s Fist
  • Rosettas (which we show) and Heles (which we omit as poorly formed)
  • Square Keys

Our analysis: The grand trines are almost always a sign of opportunity, if we seize it, but a temptation to simply enjoy a “good time,” allowing the gift to pass us by. The Kite emphasizes this moreso, and since the kite is tied to the Moon we know this will not last long, a day or two at most, maybe only a few hours.

A Hard Rectangle appears for the chart set in Plano, and it will affect certain other parts of the United States, also, but since the Midheaven is involved it will be fleeting. Tempers can soar with these, and since Neptune is involved the anger or violence may have alcohol or drugs involved. If no alcohol or drugs, then a person who has been marginalized may go on a rampage.

The Thor’s Hammer patterns further confirms what the Hard Rectangle tells us, and at least one of these is global, not tied necessarily to a particular geography. I hate to say it, but we may still see more shootings.

Rosettas and Heles tell us that the politicians will be active, and anyone similar to politicians will also be active. In particular, issues of allegiance and loyalty will be in play, and treachery will be part of the mix. Watch your back!

Finally, we have Square Keys. These tend to tell us that we have lessons to learn, and we can learn them if we pay attention.

Full Moon 2021-03-28 (Libra Moon opposite Aries Sun)

This is the first full moon after the Vernal Equinox, and it precedes Easter on April 5, 2021.

This FM has interesting activity:

  • Hard Rectangle : like a Thor’s Hammer, tempers flare BUT an amazing amount of work can be accomplished if the energy can be focused into accomplishment
  • Yod : We each face a decision of some kind, individually (based on your chart) and collectively (because of the Hele); it is a difficult decision, and it risks upsets or accidents or ambushes or wrong decisions (given the Hard Rectangle) that lead to conflict (fights, battles, wars); The Moon is at apex of the yod (the “focal” energy) with Uranus (surprises, electrical shocks, explosions, ambushes, sometimes brilliant mental insight and solutions) on one leg and asteroid Pallas (also brilliant mental insight and solutions but they tend to be “military” in nature given that Pallas sprang fully formed and armored from the head of her father (Zeus / Jupiter / Thor, depending on whose pantheon you have adopted). Both solutions are “close” and similar but NOT the same.  Though Solar Fire did not read it this way, this is a FOCUSED Yod with the Moon at Apex and Sun / Chiron / Venus conjunct at the Focal Point (and opposite the Moon).  *IF* properly focused, again, you can accomplish MUCH, some of it of a breakthrough nature.
  • Kite or “Kite Almost” : opportunities are present; this is “luck” for some
  • Hele : in some form these have been present for weeks; it is all about politics and political alignments; cohesion within parties is strong; conflict is public; expect our current messes to WORSEN rather than needed fixes be applied
  • Grand Trines : the aspect for which this blog is named; these tend to make for “easy” times but the Hard Rectangle will override that; in that case, again, these can be “luck” if the energy of the times is properly focused; (look for opportunities; they WILL be present!)
  • T-Squares : T-Squares seem to always be present; these are associated at least in part with recent the recent Grand Cross and associated tragedies; a push will exist to “get things done” but the question becomes : “what does that mean?”  Wrong solutions are tempting if they are “easy.”(Don’t take “the easy way out.”  Work through your own issues instead of expecting a scapegoat.)

2021-03-13 New Moon (Pisces) : A Clear Message : Take Action

March 10, 2021 at 10:29 pm | Posted in 2021, 2021-Lunations, 5th Harmonic, Astrology, Astrology 2021, Higher Order Aspects, Lunations, Patterns, Special Days, Yod | 9 Comments

Pisces is generally associated with play, rest, and relaxation.  Matters of faith and sacrifice are also tied to the sign along with, sometimes, criminality.  Low forms of Pisces include alcohol and drug addiction, religious cults, and delusions.

Ordinarily, a Pisces New Moon would lead us to think of Spring and Easter.  But this one shouts : “make a decision and take action.”

Yod : A Signal to Make a Decision

First of all, we see a yod in this chart.  This is not a yod in traditional planets (seven of those) or even modern planets (ten total).  This is a yod in asteroids (a more subtle message that some would miss).

Hygeia (health and healthcare) says that we must make a decision between the smart ideas (and action) of warrior goddess Pallas and the law and legal step by step justice of Astraea.  Do you leap into action without much planning or thought, “making this up as I go” (as Indiana Jones once offered), or do you plot out the path step by step, as a lawyer might do or a judge might require.  You will have to decide between one.

No matter what you decide, do not “look back.”  You will only have regret if you do that.

For some people, this is about an intense reboot of “failed” “New Year’s Resolutions” now crafted into a more workable plan as this New Moon ends the “shadow” period of the recently past Mercury Retrograde.

What did not work before can be adjusted into something that can work.

Mars Quintile Sun/Moon

Mars forms a quintile to the Sun/Moon pair of the Full Moon.  This tells us that, regardless of our choice of path, that our action can be brilliant and decisive.

But, we must take action!  That is the message of this New Moon, nothing more, nothing less.

Full Moon : February 27, 2021

This lunation is also active.  Similar to the recent New Moon, the chart for this FM shows it has a Thor’s Hammer (potential for violence, explosions, or other disasters).  The chart also has a Yod, a clear indicator that many of us will face an important decision this weekend, continuing into early March (and possibly beyond).

The 7th Harmonic and 5th Harmonic activity is so pronounced that at least a few of you will produce works of genius this weekend.  That crazy idea from a few weeks ago?  Go back and look at it now.  You might see something special!

This Full Moon occurs on a weekend, and with the Thor’s Hammer (Fist of God) some of you will be accident prone or may get into fights.  Please be careful at this time.  If someone attempts to provoke you, walk away!

Full Moon with Thor’s Hammer

Note that the Juno-Neptune square is applying (and one of the strongest aspects in the chart other than the Full Moon itself).  Each of these, Juno and Vesta, are on a leg of the Thor’s Hammer (God’s Fist) with Hygeia at the apex.  This tells us that healthcare is a central issue, and the choice seems to be between women in general but, particularly, issues of fidelity (and betrayal) on one side and a Neptune kind of character, when benevolent: poetry, music, and arts, and when malevolent: drugs, alcohol, and cults (particularly religious but other kinds as well).

In a day to day situation, some will see this drama: a healthcare provide (physician, nurse, allied health) will face a serious conflict between a person who is a “patient” (alcoholic, drug addict, maybe just an ordinary person who suffers an illness) and the females about the patient (almost certainly family members).

Large scale: the healthcare system will face serious conflicts that involve issues of trust and betrayal (on one side) and disease (particularly the pandemic) on the other.

Full Moon with Yod

A choice is emphasized here by the presence of a Yod in the chart:

The Moon is at apex.  Since this is a Full Moon, with the Sun opposite the Moon, this is a “Focused Yod.”

One leg goes to Chiron in Aries (healthcare and teaching, but a bit of an angry or militant variety, a “warrior monk” so to speak) and the other goes to Saturn (in Aquarius, an acceptable place for Saturn but all about accomplishing results by means of restrictions).

Large Scale : Again, expect conflicts involving healthcare and a decision of whether to follow recommendations of providers (which might prove expensive) or recommendations of restrictions and “belt tightening.”

Personal : This is all about work and play and the decisions you make from now through at least March 13th (Mercury moves out of shadow AND just past New Moon in Pisces).  Due to the Mercury Shadow, this could be about “cleanup operations” for messes in the past few months.  One path is about education and healing (maybe going back to school), and the other is about restrictions and hard work.  We cannot advise which path to take: both have strengths and weaknesses.  For some of you, you will remember this time and wonder, later, “what if I had made the other choice”?

Just remember, “Hindsight is 20/20.”

Full Moon : 7th Harmonic Chart

[Click Image to Open in New Tab]

The 7th Harmonic activity in this chart is noteworthy.  This Full Moon is about “lessons learned.”  Breakthrough ideas can come, but a price in terms of karma will almost certainly be extracted.  The lessons here are complex: pay attention and write down those ideas lest they slip away from you.  For some creatives, this could be a turning point.

Full Moon : 5th Harmonic

[Click Image to Open in New Tab]

The 5th Harmonic is ALSO highly activated in this chart, confirming that some of you will produce genius level work at this time.  Politics could very much become about a “power grab” under these circumstances.  Keep your eyes and ears open.  Compose music, take photographs, make video, write poetry or do something similar with this amazing set of alignments.

Full Moon with Grand Cross

Here is the Grand Cross chart we have been discussing for weeks.  It is “in play” here also.  The most notably consideration is the Sun near Neptune (applying to a conjunction in a few days) and Moon near Vesta applying to a conjunction in a few hours.  Both of these conjunctions will bring “messages” about our circumstances.

Full Moon February 2017 (Lunar Eclipse: Leo Moon + Aquarius Sun)

Headline: In addition to being a Full Moon and Eclipse with a comet (!), this FM has a complex set of patterns, some relatively rare, that bring important opportunities that can be realized if you make the right decisions and form the right alliances.  Additionally, a thief is lurking (might be a time waster or maybe an ACTUAL thief), so be careful!

A few months have past since our last “real” astrology post (other than something I started on Lost Dudeist involving an old cold case murder), and we are overdue to put some of our own work up.  This FM is interesting, with the Moon near the important fixed star of Regulus (i.e. the “Regulator” and associated with kings and royalty and sometimes downfalls) as well as a number of patterns.  We will focus mainly on the charts, as we have done the past few years, with only minimal commentary (encouraging our readers, instead, to comment).  Names for this moon abound.  “Snow Moon” is most popular, but we like “Werewolf Moon” best!  🙂

Basic Chart, Inner Planets, and Outer Planets

First, we have a basic chart of the FM using tight orbs (eliminating all but the strongest aspects) and a new custom layout that we designed today:

lunareclipse-2017-02-10-11th-tightorbs

The aspect grid and mid-point trees here focus specifically on the strongest and most influential aspects.  Others have analyzed this FM extensively, and I really have little new to offer except my (usual) analysis of patterns and some discussion of mid-points as well as various items that catch my eye (though they have been mentioned by others).

In addition to the proximity of the Moon to Regulus (bringing up issues of power and control as well as risk of loss related to “revenge”), we note that the moon is apply to an (out of sign) conjunction to the North Node in Virgo.  This is important for any of several reasons (such as the Nodes being the critical ingredient in all eclipses) but we note that when that aspect perfects (Moon conjunct North Node in Virgo) a bit later that a powerful earth trine will be activated (making it possible to turn opportunities seized with the FM into money or material goods or benefits).

We present next the same chart (all of these are the same), but in a different format and filtered for inner planets (and Mars).  This version of the chart (and these aspects) speak to individual issues more than collective issues and, depending on our individual natal charts (or maybe those close to us) how this FM will affect us in a very direct way:

lunareclipse-2017-02-10-inners

If you are paying attention (we hope you are if you are reading this), then you will note two things.  The first, and most compelling, is that Mars forms a triangular relationship (similar to a T-Square, but (as far as I know) an as yet unnamed pattern) with Moon / Sun in opposition (that DEFINES a Full Moon!) and Mars forming a sesquiquadrate (135 degrees) to Moon and a semi-square (45 degrees) to the Sun.  Both aspects tend to be “irritating,” Mars is all about action (often physical) and can be prone to violence, and this set of aspects will spur you to “get things done” *IF* you can avoid becoming mired in conflicts.

The second aspect is more subtle, with Mercury sextile Venus.  Really, the aspect is not the issue.  The issue is that Mercury is “peregrine” (an horary term, and one of the few of those we use from time to time), and that makes Mercury a “thief” in this chart.  Incessant chatter and nuisance events related to transportation and communication can steal your opportunity from you.  Do not let that happen!

Here is the same chart, but filtered for the outers including Chiron, Major Asteroids (Pallas, Ceres, Vesta, and Juno), the additional two we always use (Hygeia, healthcare, and Astraea, law) along with the additions of Sedna, Selena, and Eris.  We also have the calculated point Black Moon (Lilith).

lunareclipse-2017-02-10-outers

The outers tend to affect us collectively, and as individuals we look to them to see how we “fit in” with the larger groups around us as well as what the larger collective is “working through.”  The larger T-Square (Uranus (and Eris, the troublemaker), Vesta, and Jupiter) is part of a looser Grand Cross (adding in Pluto in Capricorn).  The Uranus / Pluto squares since 2012 (arguably 2011) have been discussed extensively in their role in the financial meltdown of 2008 (the year Pluto (death and major transformation) entered Capricorn (banking and finance and large corporations)) through the “Arab Spring” and other Middle Eastern wars and violence up to, and including, the current events in the Middle East as well as the political climate here in the United States.

T-Square / Grand Cross

Beyond this summary, we will not duplicate those discussion except to note that Jupiter (Libra) ALWAYS acts as an “amplifier” of anything he touches, and Vesta brings in issues of traditions (and loyalty, probably especially military traditions if we followed our hunch on this).  Grand crosses bring SOME things to a HALT and launch other things into rapid motion.  This is another “irritating” pattern (similar to the Sun / Moon / Mars pattern previously discussed), but it is huge and affects many people and will extend particularly long after the eclipse (at least 18 months if we were to guess but maybe further).  Expect the fights we have been having to escalate, particularly if they involve traditions (and anyone who “serves,” i.e. military, police, nurses, and similar).

Huber Learning Triangle

We add that in addition to the T-Square / Grand Cross, a “Huber Learning Triangle” is present that includes Vesta (traditions and service), Chiron (education, healthcare, and mentors) and Jupiter (law, higher education, sometimes health, and foreign travel / ambassadors; higher thought and sometime philanderers).  Composed of a trine (easy and straightforward), a quincunx (a confusing and messy misunderstanding) and a square (an avoidable and irritating demand for action), this outer planet / asteroid Huber affects all of us and says that everyone (liberal, conservative, democrat, republican, libertarian, and “other”) is partially right (the trine), partially out of touch with reality (the quincunx) and feeling compelled to “do something about it” (the square).  This kind of pattern may also apply in other areas of your life.

Resolutions require that the misunderstandings be addressed if they can be.  (We think this involves people who serve (military & police & firefighters & nurses & similar), their education & healthcare benefits, and a real need for resolution (maybe legal and maybe in some other Jupiter area).

Please do note that both of these major patterns are interlaced and contain Jupiter / Vesta on one of their legs.  (Making “people who serve” and the legal system almost a certainty.)

With that, we examine the  patterns in play, which are powerful and interesting (and some tend to be rare).  Since they are numerous, we will list them first (in order of consideration):

  • Mystic Rectangle
  • Kites (Kite Key) and associated Grand Trines
  • Heles (Hele Key)
  • Rosetta
  • Yods

Mystic Rectangle, Kites, and Grand Trines

These three sets of patterns should be considered together Kites are considered rare, and Mystic Rectangles even more so.  Sometimes I see a fifth point in the Mystic Rectangle pattern which creates an interlaced pair of kites that I call a “Kite Key” (taking the name from “Double Yod Key” and similar patterns).  The Mystic Rectangle shows up in interesting places and people.  For example, Hillary Clinton’s natal chart has one and it is rather pronounced.  Kites always contain at least one Grand Trine, and several are present here (particularly a Fire Grand Trine composed of Uranus (Aries), Moon (Leo), and Saturn (Sagittarius)).  As we mentioned earlier, after the Moon moves into Virgo it will form (amplify, really) an Earth Grand Trine when it perfects the conjunction to the North Node.

Here is the same chart, but filtered for the Mystic Rectangle:

lunareclipse-2017-02-10-mysticrectangle

Moon, Jupiter, Uranus, and the Sun form this MR, and this is a “lotto ticket winner” pattern.  You may not win the “actual” lotto, but a huge opportunity is facing you (if you can avoid Mercury the thief, mentioned earlier).  (Do keep in mind that, with some people, Mercury might be an ACTUAL thief.  I have actually seen that happen when I saw a cash box stolen from a charity dance by a “snatch and grab” thief when Moon in Gemini (Mercury’s home) became angular.  As a young budding astrologer, this was an AMAZING event to witness!  The money was never recovered….)  An opportunity faces you, no doubt, but do act with SOME prudence!

Kites

The kite key (interlaced kites) formed from the MR confirm this:

lunareclipse-2017-02-10-kitekey

We will note that the three bodies of Hygeia (health and healthcare), Saturn (aging, bones, test, trials, and tribulations) and Astraea (law, lawyers, judges, and the legal system) form the apex (“additional planet”) in this kite key.  So, your opportunity may involve either health / healthcare or aging or bones or the law / legal system in some way.  (All three could be involved, as in an elderly person who is injured by some Mercurial peregrine young person and from the damage to their health a lawsuit and maybe criminal action results.  Bad news for the person who cause the harm in their fit of Sun / Moon / Mars temper.  Do not be the person with the temper!  You are smart enough to read this, so you should know better!)

Grand Trines

Here is the same chart, but filtered to reveal the Grand Trines:

lunareclipse-2017-02-10-grandtrines

To some degree, these patterns of opportunity are about personal decisions that may or may not directly involve others.

Hele (Key), Rosetta, and Yods: Issues of Allegiance and Decisions

In contrast to the previous group of patterns, the Hele / Rosetta / Yod group in this eclipse necessarily involve others (except MAYBE the Yods).  We also have interlaced Hele patterns (two) which we call a “Hele Key” and these emphasize the importance of forming stable long term alliances.  The Rosetta, on the other hand, is about short term alliances and can lead later to treachery and betrayal.  “Picking the right friends” is everything at this moment, and the pair of Yods (not quite a “double yod key” but VERY similar to that pattern) are about (a minimum of) two decisions involving alliances, friends, non-friends (enemies?), decisions, and what action to take (or avoid).

Hele Key

We present, first, the same Eclipse chart, filtered for the Hele pattern (and revealing the Hele key):

lunareclipse-2017-02-10-helekey

The “common leg” in these two interlaced Hele patterns (aka the “Hele Key”) is a Vesta / Chiron trine.  A stable relationship between Vesta in Cancer (traditions and service in the water sign associated with families and children and oceans and family outings at the beach) and Chiron (mentors, education, healthcare, and attempting to heal the deep wound that never seems to quite heal fully).  This might be a good weekend to NOT take your children (Cancerian) to any place where they could drown (a Chironic wound that could never be healed).  For others, the issues are about, on one hand, service and family, and, on the other hand, dealing with painful issues that may never resolved.  If you are lucky, this could be a healthcare issue that can be resolved (for now) or an education issue (that can be completed and finished).  In any case, it is really all about your alliances and the friends you pick.

If we had to make a recommendation (and that is risky!), we would recommend males tend to opt for “college professor” (or lawyer) type friends (or maybe military) and females opt for someone Saturnine (could be an older adult or some other “authority figure”).

Rosetta

Every garden must have a snake, no doubt.  In this garden, or chart, the Rosetta is the set of relationships that might can “get things done” rather quickly, but which may turn on you in some form of treachery at some later point.

Here is the chart:

lunareclipse-2017-02-10-rosetta

Curiously, the same Vesta / Chiron trine forms the backbone of this Rosetta.

Yods: Decisions

This chart contains a pair of Yods, and in astrology a pair almost always means “two or more.”  You can also think of it as “at least two” major decisions.  Here is the chart:

lunareclipse-2017-02-10-yods

One decision involves “fate” (North Node) or “hard work” (OR BOTH) and a choice between Venus (love, beauty, harmony, and maybe money & finances; also: this looks like Venus AND Mars!) and Mercury (communications, transportation, and the aforementioned thief).  Each has their advantage, and as an astrologer it is my duty to tell you that each path has its advantages and disadvantages, but we lean toward the Venus path over the Mercury path in this case.  (Why?  Because Mercury is peregrine, or a thief, here.  If you are a criminal, then maybe that is your path, but not for the rest of us.)

The other decision involves a Chironic issue (education, healthcare, or mentor(s)) and a choice between a very strong Leo Moon (likely a strong female) and Libran (but Retrograde) Jupiter.  That is a tougher choice, but we ever so slightly favor the Leo Moon.  (Why?  It is VERY strong in this eclipse, AND Jupiter is retrograde).  In the end, only you can decide.

New Moon: Sun at 7 degrees 59 minutes of Capricorn287

ARIES:  This month may highlight issues with automobiles or vehicles in general.  There could be matters that are out of control to the point where they could feel very self-destructive.  Your mind and/or memories are erratic.  Be wary of the risks this month as winning, achieving goals and seeing just rewards are important BUT you might plunge into something that could be self-destructive or defeating.  This month also highlights marriage and other close partnerships.

TAURUS:  Many times this month will feel fated and predestined, as if you are being tested in some way.  You might sense things are not being done correctly or that they are being done backwards.  You just want to get to the bottom of things and you feel as if you have been enduring a great deal.  Memories could be triggered by photographs. …

When to post a New Moon or Full Moon Post

Most of my content, for about the past two years, has been reblogged.  Through a near “accident” (wondering what WordPress could do and testing different options) I transformed my blog into a “content aggregator blog.”  The decision was the correct one for me though it requires hours a day to maintain.

That said, I see a huge variety in the timing of posts for a lunation (Full Moon or New Moon).  Having watched this process for about 50 lunations or more, I have some observations:

  1.  If you are not interested in “click through” from reblogs by someone like me, time your posts for 24 to 48 hours before the lunation.  Less than 24 hours, and you have lost your audience.  They have gone out to play, and they are no longer interested in what you have to say.
  2. If you want the benefit of reblogs, as well as the full attention of your audience, time your posts about 48 to 72 hours out.  You will capture about 24 to 48 hours of audience, and my reblogs will capture the rest.  Your click through rate will tell you how interested people are in your particular way of analyzing and describing the upcoming lunation (as well as providing useful solutions to the many who seek those).
  3. From my vantage point, I can see clear “winners” and “losers” in terms of who gets readership.  If you want to see who the top five were for this Full Moon (October 15/16), check the links at the bottom of my page for the Full Moon.  The order has been randomized to obscure who was “#1” and who was “#2” and so forth.  But these five had nearly as much traffic as everyone else combined.  (OK, my page did well, too.  But I am taking myself out of the mix since I cannot evaluate myself neutrally.)  See, also: Full Moon of October 2016.

As an example, here are my stats leading up to the Full Moon of October 15/16 (Saturday night, and weekend Full Moons are almost always the busiest in terms of traffic):

Note how *SLOW* the “day of” the Full Moon traffic is compared to the previous two days!

Harvest Moon 2016 (2016-10-15) A Butterfly and a Hard Rectangle

Harvest Moon 2016 (2016-10-15) A Butterfly and a Hard Rectangle

More than a few of you have correctly deduced that this is one of the more special Full Moon(s).  We begin by showing a chart of the FM that contains a pattern we have not seen before.  We call it a “Hard Butterfly” in the absence of any other name to the contrary.  It is composed of two interlaced T-Squares that also contain a Hard Rectangle within them.  Here is the fourth order harmonic chart that most clearly elucidates this pattern.

Hard Butterfly Chart Pattern for Full Moon of October 2016

Here is the Full Moon chart filtered to more clearly show the Hard Rectangle:

2016-10-15-full-moon-aries-libra-hard-rectangle

As we have discussed before, these kinds of patterns (T-Squares and especially Hard Rectangles) provide so much energy that they are “dangerous.”  You can accomplish much, but you run the risk of “overdoing it.”  Martians (Intelligence Agencies, Police, and Athletes) will tend to do well and in some cases have tremendous accomplishments but, again, run the risk of “overdoing it.”  If you are not a Martian, then make certain you avoid dangerous people, places, and things and avoid being such a person yourself.

A Thor’s Hammer (God’s Fist) pattern is also present with Saturn (the Greater Malefic, and a source of tests, trials, and tribulations) is at the Apex.  This is yet another amplifier of the situation we have already described, and it is associated with people, places, and things going “boom.”  Here is the same chart but filtered for the TH:

full-moon-2016-10-15-thors-hammer

We will likely have more to say and more to add over the course of the day as the FM moves towards perfection.  Till then, we encourage you to focus your efforts into beneficial and useful work, avoid dangerous people, places, and things, and have as much safe fun as you can muster on the even of this “Harvest Moon.”

Mars in Sagittarius trines retrograde Eris in Aries

The lunar eclipse in Pisces today is marking the midway point of the current lunar cycle eclipse that began with the solar eclipse in Virgo on 1/9/16. With the Virgo-Pisces axis involved in this Lunar Eclipse, it presses us to look more closely at our lives, what needs do we have?, What do we feel is lacking? and want do we to bring into our lives? When this axis is activated  we search for a balance between our material world and our spiritual reality. Virgo energy is all about bring balance in our daily life and routines. The Pisces full moon and lunar eclipse window is open. Exact at 12:05PM PDT on Friday, September 16th, how this lunation impacts you will vary based on where it lands in your chart.

Shiny sun and mental Mercury in Virgo stare down the sensitive moon conjunct wounded healer Chiron in the emotional, watery depths of Pisces, and both ends of this see-saw square passionate Mars in the truth seeking sign of Sagittarius, creating what is known as a mutable T square. Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces are mutable signs, so named because they represent the energy of the changing seasons. As an example, right now the sun is in Virgo and the season (at least in the northern hemisphere) is summer, but in a week’s time the sun will enter Libra and Fall will begin. Virgo energy supports transition. So does Sagittarius, the sign that the sun is in during late…

At 3:05pm on Friday, the Moon at 24:20 Pisces Opposes the Sun at 24:20 Virgo. But the Moon will be Conjunct Chiron Retrograde in Pisces as he applies to the Sun. Mars in Sagittarius is applying to a Square to both the Sun and Moon, creating a T-Square that pours the energy into the empty corner at 22-24 Gemini.

Conjunctions are considered ‘hard’ energies as it merges both Planets’ energies. Oppositions are about contrast that can only be seen through the polarity of the 2 ends. And Squares are the ‘hardest’ of all presenting real challenges. But T-Squares are very concentrated challenges affecting 3 areas of our lives at the same time.

Harvest Moon

The Sun in Virgo (work, health and service) has fully waxed the lunar light of this Full Moon in Pisces (sensitive, spiritual, artistic) reflecting our need to transcend the ego by letting go and surrendering. Earth meets Water. Nature sacrifices its many fruits and vegetables that let go of the tree and the earth…to be consumed…so that it may perpetuate the cycle of life. The grape is ready to be plucked from the vine and changed into wine as we dine and surrender to what is divine to each of us in the coming season of thanksgiving for what we have sown.

Neptune (Illusion) is also in Pisces which is the Sign that it rules. Chiron (the Wounded Healer) is conjunct in Pisces too.  This may make for a very sensitive time with the dreamy…imaginative…romantic Moon. The opposition of the Sun and Moon…
