April 28, 2017 (Julian 118) Venus enters Aries; Mercury (R) joins Uranus (Aries)

The headline for today is that (1) Venus enters Aries (covering old ground from prior to the recent Venus Retrograde); and (2) Mercury (R) joins Uranus (something that will happen again with Mercury Direct on May 9th during the “shadow period” that lasts until May 20th.  This is a superb time for writers (and similar creatives) to develop ideas along with likely an important day for journalists and others who depend on writing and communication (or transportation) for their art, craft, or livelihood.

Pisces enters Aires.

Today does promises to be an active and energizing day. Venus moves out of Pisces and into Aries. We see a shift from dreamy, sensitive Pisces into the alpha, bold and courageous Aires.Venus re-enters Aries today and will continue its transit of the sign until June 6th. Venus represents that part of us and our social needs, love, money, and all that we value most dearly. When Venus is in Aries, we are a lot more direct and assertive. This week’s Pele Report fell directly on the New Moon in Taurus, which is all about being in the body, listening to the body, honoring our senses, honoring Gaia, our mother, for we are intrinsically interconnected. Tom takes us through a beautiful bit of jungle as he talks at us, which is such an excellent locale for his style of sharing astrological wisdom with the world.

Mercury still has one more week retrograde, and conjunct Uranus and also opposite Eres, the goddess of discord, which he passed by back on March 29 and then made a U-turn and decided to hang out with her again. Eres only passes by every 526 years, so she moves quite slowly. Jupiter is opposing this Eres energy at this moment, while Saturn conjunct the galactic center is square. Because apparently we needed more discord. Which basically amounts to more of us waking up.

Moon at late Taurus will enter Gemini and pass Mars at 04 Gemini (tropical zodiac) overnight.  Look for Mars, the red sparkle, on the left side of the Moon in the West after sunset. Tomorrow evening, Mars will be on the right side.

I felt that Taurus New Moon energy to be incredibly exhausting. Whether it was the after effects from the Coronal Mass ejections from the SUN from days ago or simply the stodgy TAURUS moon making us slow down and smell the roses or VENUS at that last critical 29th degree of PISCES cleansing a myriad of karmic emotional baggage or ALL of the ABOVE combined. April 27, 2017 (Julian 117) Mars Sesquiquadrate Pluto

Lunar aspects are mostly in Taurus and mostly “unremarkable” as physicians sometimes write in their notes.  Moon (Taurus) sextiles Venus (Pisces) at 9:20 PM CDT and moves into Gemini 20 minutes later.  We note that this is late in the evening for most people in the Western Hemisphere (except maybe PDT), and is early in the morning for EU / UK.

We also note that this is a useful window for creatives despite it being a lunar void.  Write it down or capture it somehow and know that you may have to tune it or adjust it later to turn it into a masterpiece.  On the other hand, this is a terrible time to sign contracts or make practical commitments.

Outers are mostly quiet EXCEPT Mars sesquiquadrate Pluto.
