Easter is here (rather late this year), and Sun in Aries is nearly done.  For Christians, this is an important day for the faithful.  Sun moves into Taurus April 19th, Pluto stations retrograde April 20th, and a New Moon in Taurus greets us April 25th.

The Moon is EXTREMELY busy today, going void in Sagittarius when it joins Saturn about 1:30 PM CDT.  While Easter might be about mercy and benevolence and second chances (“rebirths”), Moon conjunct Saturn is anything but that, and both are in Sagittarius (the sign, among other things, of organized religion).  From 7 AM CDT to 11 PM CDT we have three lunar trines, and those help things at least a little.

“Opportunity knocks as Venus finally makes a station at 27 degrees of Pisces (3:19AM) — turning direct until October 5, 2018 when this great goddess of the heavens shifts into reverse again at 11 degrees of Scorpio.

This morning at  6:17 AM EDT Venus stationed ( stopped retrograde motion) at 26 Pisces 55 and  resumed direct motion.  The planet thus began its journey retracing its way back to 13 Aries 09, the degree where it turned retrograde on March 4.  Below is the chart for this event set at the nation’s Capital, Washington D.C:

Looking at the chart we see that five of the planets are angular: Uranus,Sun and Mercury are in the 1st House, Pluto near the MC in 10th and Jupiter just one degree off the Descendant (7th).  This clues us in that this Venus station direct  will very  likely correlate with  some significant doings and events in the country.  The fact that Aries is the rising sign and Uranus, Sun are very close to the Ascendant also confirms this reading.  What about Venus, the star of this show?  It is, as was noted, in…

No doubt you already know that the big news today, and really for the past few days leading up to today (and maybe a week or two after) is that Venus moves Direct.  Venus Retrograde is relatively rare (about every 18 months) and carves out, over time, a pentagram in the sky that gradually moves and shifts over the year.  Among other things, this pattern was featured as an important factoid in the bestseller “The Da Vinci Code.”
