October 9th is the anniversary of John Lennon’s birthday. He was and still is one of my heroes. The renewed interest in the Beatles generated by Ron Howard’s documentary about their early days is bringing the band that changed the world’s incredible music, energy, romantic, revolutionary creative energy back into the world again to inspire us all.

I wish he was still here in the physical plane to guide us. I can always tune into his wisdom in spirit. He told me to tell you that he hates most rap music because it’s so misogynistic.

Moon’s in Capricorn for most of Sunday

The aspects are pretty easy, two sextiles to Venus and Chiron in Pisces.

Moon squares Uranus in Aries bringing up Cardinal crosspressure again  in the day.

The Moon goes Void of course after that and most of the day is VOID OF COURSE.

The presidential debate is…

“You’re so vain” Donald Trump by Carly Simon

Caught between a bullying, sexist, narcissistic, patriarchal, lying man with no morals or ethics and terrible taste and Hillary is a lying, cheating, power hungry, scam, artist of the worst order. There are no choices here. Each is as despicable in their own way as the other. As a feminist woman, Hillary makes me more ashamed than Donald who is just a crass, rich, white, patriarchal, “good ‘Ole Boy”  white supremacist. Power corrupts completely. They are equally as bad each in their own ways.  Sad. Good use of Carly’s song here.

Dragons, Scorpions and Goats

The DRACONIDS Meteor showers peaked last night. This is an annual event. The constellation of Draco is one of the most ancient and was one of the first 88 constellationsthat were categorized in the  West. The main star Thuban was the northern Pole Star around 3,000 BC, during the time of the ancient Egyptians. The King’s chamber in the Great Pyramid is aligned with Thuban along with the Great and small bear and Orion and Sirius.

Draco, dragons, Egypt, Astronomy

Due to the Precession of the Equinoxes it will be the pole star again around the year 21,000 AD. The ancient myths about dragons worldwide are allusions to this once prominent Constellation.  It is a very large constellation, snaking around the most northerly point in the sky and never sets. It covers over 250 degrees of the Zodiac from the Signs of Aries to Sagittarius and containing 18 named fixed stars.

More Thoughts on Capricorn

The gentler aspects to the Capricorn Moon both take place before dawn, a sextile to Venus in Scorpio and one to Chiron in Pisces. The final aspect before the Moon goes void-of-course mid-morning is a jolting square to Uranus in Aries which means we might as well do our own thing today rather than attempt to coordinate with others. We can all use time to ourselves once in awhile to work on personal projects. It won’t hurt to take a moment to inform our nearest and dearest about our plans before we take off . . . we do want them to welcome us back after all. 🌠☽♑🌠

Since the Moon won’t reach Aquarius until the middle of the night, she will be void-of-course most of the day. However a VOC Capricorn Moon has more focus and sense of purpose than is usually the case which means less slacking off…

Saturn is Square the Nodes of the Moon

October 9, 2016 at 10:55 pm | Posted in Astrology | Comments Off on Saturn is Square the Nodes of the Moon

The past creates the future and the future is a reflection of the past.

The Nodes of the Moon represent the pathway of our soul’s evolutionary journey from the past (the South Node) to the future (the North Node).  The North Node is the direction our Soul longs to go towards in this life, our calling, and the South Node is the direction we need to move away from—the default patterns “inherited” from another life. Yet, you cannot cut the cords of the past. The past needs to be acknowledged. Our future self is just a step forward, another ring in a tree trunk.

saturn-square-north-node-south-nodeSaturn rules our conditioning or the way we were taught and brought up in the world, our “playground” – remember Saturn has rings? The ring marks the border between what is allowed and was is not. It reminds us of our boundaries, responsibilities and commitments…

2016-10 W42: Forecasts for Week 42 of 2016

Week 42 (W42) / (European Week 41 / W41)

Sunday is a “Blank Rune” kind of day.  Some commentators have criticized the Ralph Blum book in general and the Blank Rune in particular as being a fiction created in modern times.  Even so, we argue the a “Blank Rune” is appropriate, and today is one of those kinds of day.

Generally, “Sun out” aspects are missing.  “Mars out,” or outer planet (and major asteroid) aspects are limited to Saturn sesquiquadrate Vesta and Juno quadrinovile Ceres.  The moon (Capricorn) has a few aspects, arguably forming a very loose T-Square with Sun (Libra) / Uranus (Aries) before becoming void of course shortly before Noon CDT.

What does this mean?  Moon v/c is usually interpreted as “nothing will come of this.”  Sometimes something does “come of this,” but the outcome is entirely unexpected.  Vesta…

Spiritual Rx

For the week of October 10-16, 2016

For all signs: On Saturday, Oct. 15, we will have the Full Moon in Aries/Libra. The Full Moon is a time of completion and culmination, especially of what was intended two weeks before during the New Moon. There is a rhythm to everything as the Earth breathes in and out. If you wish to be more in sync with the Universe in general, an ongoing study of the phases of the Moon vis-à-vis the vagaries of your life is a good start, and may truly be enlightening. Sometimes you just have to stop fighting and simply go gently with the flow.

ARIES (Mar 21-Apr 19) You who have been quite content to stay in the background would have to prepare now. A special responsibility will soon be assigned to you, but there is no need to worry. You’re…
