Melanie's Astro~News

Welcome, dear Reader in the Astro Spirit Tribe, to this Summer SoUlstice Full Moon Cosmic Update!

While we’re honouring our Fathers and Forefathers (not just) today, the count-down is ON, for the FULL MOON on the very, very end of Spring, just 11 hrs before Summer Solstice!
Both ‘events’ happen tomorrow Mon June 20! – in the Western World – June 21 will be Summer Solstice in CET and East of that.

This will be the second SAG – GEM Full Moon this year (the first one was on May 21, on the first day of GEMINI) – a ‘Blue Moon’, zodiac wise 🙂

The Full Moon will be at the very end of SAG (pointing to the Galactic Centre!) – I call the SAG – CAP cusp also ‘Integrity Point’ of the Zodiac….

What a powerful energy guiding us into the Sacred Turning Point of theSummer Solstice!

SUPER SAGED : Full Moon in Sagittarius II

June 20, 2016 at 11:57 pm | Posted in Astrology | Comments Off on SUPER SAGED : Full Moon in Sagittarius II

FULL MOON : SUPER SAG energy Today…a day best spent in Lycra, sunvisor, on an international flight, doing yoga by your teepee in the forest..or in your disco pants…here’s some inspiration.

Get out, get about and MOVE your body to allow you to flow with today’s fiery lunar vibration.

Featured is Tash Lockhart, with some key Sag clues, check the big smile, rollicking uplifting energy, heart shaped girl next door kind of face, not to mention exaggerated and amusing facial antics. And of course Sag rules the thighs, often giving a svelt athletic appearance. Can anyone say /Christina Aguilera’? ; )

Sagittarius is known for its expansion principle. More is always better..hence, often very generous with no expectation of return. Where can you be larger than life with your generosity today? Pay it forward.

Full Moon, Litha and the Mutable Grand Cross

June 20, 2016 at 11:53 pm | Posted in Astrology | Comments Off on Full Moon, Litha and the Mutable Grand Cross

Blessings upon you, dear ones!

The Northern Hemisphere is celebrating Litha (aka Midsummer/Summer Solstice) and the rare occasion that the Full Moon falls upon it!  The last time we experienced this alignment of Litha and the Full Moon was in June of 1967, and we won’t experience such a close alignment again until June, 2062.

Litha is official when the Sun enters Cancer tomorrow at 3:34 pm PDT.  There is a going within as we turn from the external and inquisitive sign of Gemini into the very introverted sign of the Crab.  Cancer energy can be hard to understand or connect to unless you yourself have a clear understanding of Cancer in your personal astrology.  However, we can all relate to the pull to create a hard shell to protect the soft and succulent tenderness within us.  While we have the Sun in Cancer for the next 4 ½ weeks…

Summer Solstice Full Moon: to live means to be exposed.

Collective Astrology

Moon Phases 1I look at the astrology chart for this Summer Solstice Full Moon in the sign of Sagittarius and what strikes me is the power of cycles. Everything seems to change and yet if I look behind the events I see the same universal story repeating itself. There is a sacred order in the chaos of daily reality that goes beyond rational understanding:  Life rises, ripens, decays, dies and rises again renewed. It can be applied to a relationship, a project, a business or a lifetime and the cycles can be short or very long, but we all go through these steps again and again.

Every day we rise from bed, activate ourselves and as the day go on we are naturally feeling the necessity to rest and sleep (a symbolic death) and we wake up the following morning renewed.  In the same way that each spring is followed…

The Sound of Drums -A Time to Celebrate?

Mother Earth Astrology & Natural Healing

Untitled design(2)During meditation this morning I could hear drums beating. My cells felt alive and vibrated alongside the beat. My body was filled with a sense of excitement.

I think something has shifted.

These past few days I have been experiencing physical symptoms – a cold, a lost voice, extreme tiredness, breakouts. They’re still present this morning (minus the breakouts – yay!), but lighter somehow.

The extreme rain that was falling yesterday and into the night has cleared and now the birds are singing as the sun is rising in the sky; as if personifying that a cleanse has taken place.

It’s as if yesterday’s blog post marked the ‘low point of the story’ with regards to the Saturn/Neptune square and the huge energy that has been part of the Grand Cross of late.

Yes, my night’s dreams are still profoundly vivid and yes, they’re still peppered with imagery of anger…

Summer solstice full moon

Interesting analysis.

Kannon McAfee Natural Healing / Soul Stars Astrology

With Mercury 11 Gemini opposite Saturn 11 Sagittarius, I understand many will find it difficult to communicate certain things. So it is important that those with the strongest feelings and strongest words speak for others, not just themselves.

However, Mercury [20N44] contra-parallel Mars [21S00], Saturn [20S28], and Pluto [21S01] shows that some sharp words may need to be spoken to break the ice of long frozen serious issues. It may get explosive (Mars quincunx Uranus).

Let the fallout happen. You can deal with it too. Sometimes “I” statements need to be authoritatively made, because the issues have grown too important. Let others’ responses be what they will. Speak your truth.

It might get loud. It will probably create echoes.

Neptune Retrograde square Saturn…a meditation on the persistence of beauty…

Yes, Uranus square Pluto then Saturn square Pluto. Are more settled times ahead? Something tells me maybe not just yet. 🙂 Wonderful article!

Astrology: Questions and Answers

Neptune turned retrograde on Monday 13th June 2016, at 12 degrees of its own sign of Pisces, making a second exact square with Saturn in Sagittarius on 18th June. The third and final square in this difficult planetary dance takes place at 10 degrees of their respective signs on 10th September 2016, after which the square gradually loses potency, reaching 10 degrees of separation by the end of 2016.

A great battle between order (Saturn) and chaos (Neptune)  has been raging since the end of 2015 in particular,  as mass migration of peoples – often by sea – fleeing wars and persecution at a level not seen since the end of the Second World War, has challenged European nations’ capacity to cope. With the gradual waning of the turbulent, violent, purgative years of  Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn, at the same time as the waning of  Saturn square Neptune,  we can only hope for…

Yoga has its origin thousands of years ago in India. Yoga is a mind and body practice with historical origins in ancient Indian philosophy. Yoga  has  become very popular not only in India but also in many other parts of the world. Yogic practices lead to the development of  holistic health. Yoga is primarily used as a preventive measure. It can also  be used for better management of physical and mental disorders. International Yoga Day is celebrated annually on June 21 and was declared to be internationally recognized by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on December 11, 2014.It  is common to associate the word Yoga with a system of physical postures and meditation.
