“Have you noticed anything going particularly awry, or any near misses that got your attention in the last couple days or so? I’m especially referring to anything that involves communication, travel, your electronic devices, or even interactions that have involved your body (and your responses to it).

Mercury stations retrograde in Taurus today, April 28, at about 1:20 pm EDT. It will remain in apparent retrograde motion until May 22. This means we’ve been in the ‘storm’ phase these last few days (and will be for a couple more); this is the phase of time around a planetary station when things can feel especially tricky.

Mercury retrograde at 23 Taurus (tropical zodiac) until May 22nd when Mercury turns direct at 14 Taurus.
Time for slow downs, mischief and mistakes with communication and commerce tools, including technology devices and machines.  Hold off on purchases for these things until Mercury goes direct.

For anyone whom follows Astrology, even minimally, the two words ‘Mercury Retrograde’ packs a sort of negative sluggishness, and scape goat for anything that should mishap in the next few weeks. Bringing with it connotations of stalemate as well as regression, and plenty of challenges. For this particular retrograde, the universe seemed to want me to pay particular attention, and lead me to a variety of articles regarding the specific energies that will be reeking havoc until the end of May. To my lovely surprise, this Mercury Retrograde does not only seem less than terrifying, but also carries with it a powerful message of reinvention.

I prefer pens to pencils because they leave a stronger mark. Pencil is great for sketching though.

I lack the patience for crosswords, but will take a stab at one now and again. I do like jigsaw, but really don’t want to invest the time. A few years back I did complete a castle jigsaw and it was quite a lovely finished product. I am very fond of castles, so that was the draw. Typically I get my puzzle fix…

Pluto represents where we have unfathomable personal resources and power..a bit like our inner atom bomb. We can remain in the depths of unconsciousness and implode from within, annihilating ourselves or we can utilise its immense energy to completely transform ourselves, think sustainable energy V’s dirty energy.
Globally Pluto in Capricorn is dismantling outdated government and big business structures, whilst Big companies wrestle for power over people, resources and patents.

On April 28, Mercury stations retrograde in Taurus, joining Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in this backwards phase. With so many planets currently retrograde, many of us are definitely feeling the funk; fuzzy brained, slow motion reality, indecisiveness and a general feeling of discontentment with life.  There may be a sensation that we have been here before, as we find ourselves reviewing, re-doing and revisiting themes from the last several months.

Mercury retrograde is an Earthly “optical illusion” where Mercury appears to be moving backwards, for 3 weeks, 3 times a year. During these times, one may notice “things” of a mercurial nature tend to go a bit awry.
