Friday February 19th

Friday COULD be considered to be far more benevolent EXCEPT for the Moon in Cancer void that starts at 8:36 AM CST with Moon trine Mars (a great morning for exercise but maybe not so good for personal relationships) and ends at 8:18 PM CST with the Moon’s entry into Leo.

Friday is the first full day of the Sun in Pisces.  That this would be a day almost entirely consumed by a void of course moon is not surprising.  In many ways, the ultimate lunar void is the Moon v/c in Pisces (a void moon in the final sign of the zodiac is entirely about centering oneself and focusing primarily, if not entirely, on tasks that clear away the old to make room for the new).

Mars is biquintile Uranus, and some people will have truly GREAT ideas emerge, particularly involving the military (and possibly the police).  You may not be able to ACT on these ideas effectively, but make notes of your ideas for later review.  You may add necessary “tuning” later when you prepare to take action later.  This is a great day for creatives as long as they realize that they may need to tune the work later.

Chiron is quincunx Black Moon Lilith (a point in space rather than an actual object) and issues of sex and seduction come into conflict with healthcare or education.  Do not be surprised if scandals rise to the surface.  Even if that is not true, some of us will need to face our thoughts about what is “taboo” in sexuality and how we might transform or heal such situations.

Vesta in quincunx the North Node (another point in space), and we find traditions in conflict with applying hard work to developing ourselves (and eliminating the “karma” of old repeating patterns).  This makes this a GREAT day to leave behind “bad habits” or start a new life free of addictions.  If it applies to you: kick the habit!

You will once again have a window where you can accomplish something, perhaps something very important to your own personal development, but it will almost certainly be subject to some kind of re-do later.  (This could be in the next few days or it might be during the next Mercury Retrograde.)  Sometimes, though, we need to push through in a void knowing that we may have to revisit it lately or “learn a lesson” in terms of what does not work (providing a foundation for, later, doing what does work).

The Moon is v/c most of the day in the Western Hemisphere.  Sun is quadrinovile Jupiter which hints that we may acquire special skills during the void.  (These may be “lessons learned” as to what does not work.)

Lunar Eclipse 23 March 2016

February 18, 2016 at 11:19 pm | Posted in Astrology | Comments Off on Lunar Eclipse 23 March 2016

Peter Stockinger's Traditional Astrology Weblog

On 23 March 2016, at 12:00 UT, there will be a penumbral lunar eclipse. The eclipse will be visible from east Asia, Australia and most of North America . It is number 18 in the Saros Series 142, and the duration of this eclipse will be 4 hours and 15 minutes. The map below shows the visibility of the eclipse:

The astrological chart, cast for Kolkata, also shows the event:

Lunar Eclipse March 2016

Before we will discuss any possible effects on the individual, we have a look at the mundane astrological implications of this eclipse. To be able to do this, we need to establish where the eclipse is likely to have its greatest effect. For this purpose we need to look at the countries or cities falling under the rulership of Libra, the sign wherein the eclipse Moon resides during the event. We also have to take into consideration that the eclipse’s…

Pisces Season

9th House

d20 Painting by Karl Wilhelm Diefenbach

The Sun will be in the mystical waters of Pisces from February 19 to March 20th. Reality takes on a different meaning here and our attention turns towards altruistic and compassionate ideals. There can be an increased sensitivity to the suffering of the less fortunate. This time period before spring, marks the shedding of the less desirable qualities like selfishness in favour of empathy and devotion.

Here we meet the dreamers, the poets, the mystics and the seekers of truth who trade the burdens of reality for a seed of eternal wisdom.

“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are an ocean in a drop.” ― Joy N. Hensley

The Sun enters the mystical and alluring realm of Pisces, the last stop on the Zodiac wheel, and the ending of the astrological year. Our journey through the deep Piscean waters can stir up a lot of old feelings while also activating our intuitive or even psychic powers. We’re less motivated to do than we are to feel, imagine, and dream.

Thursday February 18th 2016

Thursday February 18th

As you know from yesterdays interpretations, the Sun is void.  If you need to “wrap things up,” particularly Aquarian type things (computers, internet, social groups, and so forth), then do so, but do know that a “re-do” may be in the works.  Aquarian anything tends to bring surprises, so you may never “see” the basis of this re-do.  When it does arrive, it will force a shift in your consciousness (sometimes a painful one for earth signs such as Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo).

Mercury sesquiquadrate Jupiter does mean that you have the energy to push forward, and in some cases you should do so even knowing that a re-do might be needed.  Chiron is novile Pallas, so we learn a powerful skill involving the question of how to get things done (Pallas, the warrior goddes of strategy) and healthcare or education (or both).

Today is very Mercurial.  Mercury septile Saturn (attention to detail and hard work can help us release some “Karma” by helping others), Mercury undecile Neptune (another “helping others” aspect), Mercury quintile Uranus (brilliant ideas, especially regarding issues involving communications and transportation; very good for writers and speakers), and Mercury sesquiquadrate Jupiter (a sort of amplifier of anything, and it is usually benevolent); all four of these aspects are present today.  Again, today is Mercurial.  (That also means WATCH YOUR TEMPER.  And, given Mr. Trump’s Mercurial nature (he is a solar Gemini), we would not be surprised to hear an important announcement from him on this date.)

Arguably we have a (VERY loose) yod, Moon to Mercury / Saturn, and you may have to make a significant decision during the Sun void period.  Later, after the Yod (and decision), Moon (Cancer) forms a T-Square with Uranus (Aries) and Pluto (Capricorn).  This pushes us to act, even though it may be against our better judgment during the Solar void.  In a sense, this is very much a “free will” time in which you will be completely responsible for the consequences of your decisions and following actions.

Wednesday February 17th

This is another day where we feel an urgent push to “get things done.”  Venus and Mercury have both entered Aquarius, and Mercury semi-squares Chiron while Venus semi-squares Saturn.

Moon (Gemini) trines Sun (Aquarius) and goes void at 10:37 AM CST.  These are typically benevolent aspects (Moon/Sun trines) but something may require a re-do some time after the Moon enters Cancer at 1:24 PM CST.  Quincunxes soon follow (Moon to Mercury, Venus), and achievement of goals becomes even more difficult than during the void in the morning.  This is a good time to slip out of the office and go shopping for minor office supplies if you are compelled to “do something” this afternoon.

The Sun will soon move to Pisces (February 18th @ 11:33 PM CST), so some projects may have to wait until after that (February 19th or later).  This is not a “bad” day, but at times “things” might be “irritating.”  A subtle high order aspect between Vesta and Chiron may bring into questions issues about traditions (“how we have always done it”) and healthcare or education (or both).  A similar high order aspect between Pallas and Astraea may bring legal issues to the surface.

Sun enters Pisces a half an hour before midnight but is otherwise void until then.  A bit of irritation can lead to overspending or overtalking.  Loose lips sink ships, so consider working privately or taking a day off if possible.

Melanie's Astro~News

This is the time of year when Aquarian Air turns into PISCEAN Water.
Back in Central Europe where I grew up and lived up to my late 30’s it’s also (hmmm, before Climate Change mixed things up) it used to be the time when frosty Aquarian ice crystals and snow melt, and the Winter gets ‘washed out’…..

More rain? Maybe… (not everywhere on Planet Earth of course).

Definitely a time to connect in Humanity (AQ) and know that we’re all in this together (hence I call it ‘Coherence Point’). In a group it’s the vibe of tuning into the shared ‘field’.

Last year’s (2015) Chinese New Year on that point inspired me to call this cusp also ‘Kuan Yin Point’, since she is the Goddess of Love and Compassion for all of Humanity. A good time to invoke her (any time of course).
