Venus, after passing Saturn on Jan 8, is presently in late Sagittarius – this week from Earth perspective in the Galactic Centre. We might feel attracted to deep truths and the ultimate unknown. The ‘black hole’ can turn into the deepest knowing. That’s what we are ‘attracted to’.

When we know… there is only LOVE.

Venus will cross over the ‘Integrity Point’ from Sag to Capricorn, on Saturday Jan 23 – where ‘she’ is attracted to ‘the real thing’.

Which means, we are more prone to prefer the traditional, grounded, built-to-last flavours of life, and chose what’s time-proven, has quality, perhaps history, or simple ‘Zen style’. In the interpersonal realm, Venus in Capricorn is into mature, self-responsible relationships as adults.

The big deal with Venus in Capricorn will be ‘her’ yearly rendez-vous with Pluto, on Feb 5 (there will be a triad of Moon / Venus / Pluto

Mercury in retrograde has many lessons to teach us. To start, there is the lesson in astrological awareness around shaken communication, technological malfunctioning, and traveling snafus; but also then, the movement of the planet and our change in perspective. What do I mean by this?  Let me explain.

It was once thought that when Mercury went into “retrograde” the planet reversed direction, moving from west to east, instead of east to west like the other planets move around the sun. In reality, this is an illusion. For example, have you ever been on a train moving really fast and then passed a car driving extremely slow. At first glance, it would appear that the car is moving backward because of the forward momentum of the train. But just like Mercury, the car IS moving forward and it is just hard to tell because of your speed.
