Melanie's Astro~News

The SUN will transition from the solid Earth energy of CAP to airy AQU tomorrow Jan 20 at 7:27 am PST.

A breath of fresh air?
How do we get from the heavy mountainous vibe of CAP to the lofty Aquarian zone?

PrometheusPrometheus, capturing the fire of spirit and creative inventiveness from the Gods for Humanity (and you probably know the continuation of the story, with his punishment and liberation).

Several scenarios fit the transition on the CAP – AQ cusp that the SUN is transitioning now:

  • “Nobody understands me and my visions, nobody’s on my level, I’m an outsider.”
  • “The work is done. Now I’m free / retired.”
  • Crystals and ice (CAP rules mountains and rocks).
  • Coming together in synergy and groups with other like-spirited ‘masters’.
  • Building community.

Clearly, in AQU we need friends and community, not only so that we’re not so alone in our detached ‘icy…

Can I tell you how thrilled I am that the sun is changing over to Aquarius at 10:51 PM Eastern time?  Well I guess I can, because the blogging gods(esses) asked me to write today. The sun was out and despite the frigid temperatures, I felt some relief. I am not anti- Capricorn and we are still in my 12th house for a while, but I need some respite from Saturn. Yeah I know Saturn is the original ruler of Aquarius but this Aquarius rising has had enough of Saturn’s coldness lately. Even with the Pluto/Uranus square in play, I am ready for the zing and zap of Uranus and the altruism and ego transcendence of the ” Shift”.  This is not an ” Expert” article today. This is about amazing Aquarius art, emotion, nostalgia, and iconic music.

The Moon and Astrology

HOW IT AFFECTS OUR DAILY LIVES…

In astrology, the moon is connected to our emotions and reactions… how we are feeling on a given day may well be influenced by the sign that is visiting the moon… Each sign stays with the moon for up to 2.5 days…. 🙂

The Moon Void-of-Course:

There are times throughout the month when the moon isn’t fully immersed in any sign… this is when we say the moon is Void of Course… and when this occurs, we may feel “foggy” and “unfocused” … We may not be sure how we are truly feeling about a situation or a person…. Therefore it is not recommended that we make long-term commitments or important decision’s while the moon is Void of Course…. However there are 4 signs in the zodiac which may prove positive during the Void-of-Course moon…

Good for Void-Of-Course Moon:

9th House

The Moon is in Gemini for a few days and she is ruled by Mercury which is still retrograde in Capricorn. Lots of busy mental power available to us. Using discrimination between the essential and the superfluous will save a lot of time. Do not get fooled by your own cleverness and take time to ponder your decisions.

jupiter 2While the current Mercury retrograde may only last another week, ending on the 25th, the simultaneous annual Jupiter retrograde, which started late last week, will continue for another 4 months until 8 May. All the planets, excluding the Sun and Moon, turn to make an apparent retrograde motion through the zodiac annually, so it’s not unusual to have one or two in your birth chart, or to experience their effects on a regular basis. While the Mercury retrograde is the most well known, occurring more often, the Jupiter one may be less so, and is indeed less disruptive. Nevertheless it still has a particular emphasis or theme from which we can benefit…by Jasomatinandan Das Julian Horack

Libra Seeking Balance

Gemini

“Talk it out” usually works for the Gemini Moon and putting our feelings into words may go well the first half of the day. The lingering influence of a kindly sextile between Mercury and Chiron amplifies our ability to express our emotions in a healing manner.

By this afternoon the atmosphere begins to morph into something less pleasant thanks to a Moon-Neptune square and an inconjunct to Mars in Scorpio, capped off by a late night opposition to Saturn in Sagittarius. Revelations can take on an accusatory tone and resentment may creep in. Not a bad time to choose our words with care. ✨☾♊✨

Today is the final day of the Sun’s stay in Capricorn before moving on into Aquarius tomorrow. The atmosphere probably won’t feel much different since earth and water continue to be the dominant elements for awhile yet. Mercury and Pluto continue in Capricorn with Venus joining…

YOUR HOROSCOPE BY BLES CARMONA
(blessingsandlight725@gmail.com)

For the week of January 18-24, 2016

For all the signs: The Full Moon in Leo happens on January 23 (Sat.), which according to esteemed East-West astrologer Cathy Coleman, PhD, is about “the importance of friendships as well as time for oneself.” When the Moon is full in one sign, you can be sure that the Sun is located in the sign which is 180 degrees, or opposite, the sign where the Moon is, based on the zodiac wheel. So if the Full Moon is in Leo, it follows that the Sun is in Aquarius, in this case both at 3 degrees 29 of their respective signs. I get my info from “Jim Maynard’s Pocket Astrologer 2016.” http://www.QuicksilverProductions.com

Venus will be entering Capricorn on that day as well, and when we do Capricorn-talk, we will be focusing on many practical matters. Mercury is still…

Mercury Conjunct Pluto 2015-01-22 (Thor’s Hammer)

It’s back.  (Maybe we should say, “It’s baaaack.”)  Remember the Mercury / Pluto conjunction of December 19th 2015?  (If not, click here.)  We hope you made notes of the events in your life and the events of the day, as we recommended.  This is your chance to ferret out how such aspects apply to YOUR life.

That said, we present the chart for today’s Mercury Conjunct Pluto (with Thor’s Hammer) noting that the square is a bit tighter.  And, we will see this aspect perfect again on January 29th.  You will feel the influence of this aspect throughout the window of time from January 22nd to January 29th (and probably a few days on each side, before and after).

Keep notes, again.  This is a recurring aspect that comes back in different forms, affecting different areas of life.
