First, we note that this is a shorter term Yod that follows immediately on the heels of longer term that has been in play since November 25th until yesterday.  This is a period about decisions, and longer term T-Squares may lead some people to make rash decisions that are poorly thought out.

Next, this is one of the most dangerous, if not “the” most dangerous, of aspects.  It is a bit longer term (Mars has a two year orbit, and Pluto has a 240 year orbit), so it can be felt in both the days leading up to it and the days following.  If you are reading this in the future (some time after 2015 has ended), please note that this aspect perfects just a few days after the San Bernardino mass shootings.  That is the problem with longer term aspects, the critical related event(s) almost never occur at perfection and often not “day of” but nearby instead.  The Paris shootings by an ISIS terror cell was only a few weeks ago, and could be related to this aspect also.

Still, we do not think the window of danger is over until, at a minimum, the day after the aspect has perfected.  In this case, consider allowing two or three days of “safety zone” if you can.

Here is the chart, filtered for the Yods:

2015-12-06 Mars Square Pluto (Yods)

This is an aspect that typically occurs twice in a two year period.  We say “typically” because retrogrades can cause it to occur more often under some circumstances.

T-Squares, by themselves, can fuel bad decision making and violence.  In this case, the Mars / Pluto aspect “loosely” interacts with the Uranus / Pluto squares (seven of them in play since 2012).  It is the kind of thing that make things, and people, “go boom.”  We present the same chart, filtered for T-Squares:

2015-12-06 Mars Square Pluto (T-Squares)

Please note the Mercury T-Square that interacts with the recent Mercury / Jupiter square (an amplifier of surrounding events).

We encourage our longer term readers to keep a journal and compare both the events of their life and current events to aspects to learn how to interpret those aspects.  In keeping with that, we present, next, a list of the perfections of Mars square Pluto from 2000 through 2030.  And, to see the surrounding aspects this month, click on this link for an Excel chart of Sunout aspects.  And, for an overview of patterns in November and December 2015, click this link.  If you are interested in Longer Term Forecasts (outer planets or “generational planets”), click here.

Heads up, beloveds! I’m sharing this article because…this is happening. I’ve felt this shift myself and noticed it affecting the energy of those near and dear slightly before the yod on 11/25 . No doubt many of you have as well. A lot has bern happening. Be clear. Watch your reactions and double check your responses. Breathe and come back to the present. Mars square pluto is no joke…

    Be Well, be love!

    • Thanks for the feedback HSE! Sometimes (often) when I write these predictions I am blind, meaning that I cannot see through the eyes of my readers and how things manifest in their lives. Feedback like this is very helpful to me!

  6. Glad you found it helpful, when I reblog something I often tend to preface it with a personal note for the readers…
    Mars square pluto. …
Several years ago I was in a relationship with a man who had this aspect in his natal chart. Holy s***!! If only I knew, talk about violent and explosive! I barely made it out alive.

    • Lessons learned, that’s what I call it. And it is why I encourage people to keep a journal so they can obtain a personal and intuitive understanding of aspects. Seeing it in the chart of others, as you point out, is also powerful.

  7. Yes, good advice (journaling)!

    • Of course this is different from ordinary journaling. Most ordinary journaling (that I have encountered) focuses on processing emotions. This is a bit different because it focuses on identifying repeating patterns. It does not have to be tied to astrological aspects. But it is about those “wheels that keep going round and around.” (With apologies to Steely Dan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUyMAFW4H30 )

      • Perfect song for pattern identification. Ironic you bring that up. Since April of last year I’ve been all about identifying and clearing old patterns. I have journal ed about it a bit, but I have a accessible and well organized file in my head and can retrieve the pages there. So Grandtrines, you just gave me a bit of synchronicity bringing up repeating patterns! Thanks. I’ll keep digging them up and being aware!
