Update for August 27, 2015

This should be easier for someone on a mobile device to read.

Mystic Rectangles

[Note: we will just post the updates most of the time and only the full page once or twice a month (or less).]

We hope you noted, and seized, the opportunity you saw Wednesday.  “Things” become more intense on Thursday, August 27th, and by Friday, August 28th, both a hard rectangle is present and Sun Sesquiquadrate Uranus perfects.  You can accomplish much at that time as long you make certain you do not lose your temper and do something inappropriate due to a rash decision.  (Again, Europe and UK (and some people in the U.S.) will feel this on August 27th.)  Even if you engage in a dispute, be focused and disciplined in your efforts; avoid impulsive decisions.  This is a better day for follow through and “getting things done” before the Full Moon of August 29th perfects than it is for starting something new.  And, if you run into a “wall” where you cannot…

Sun Sesquiquadrate Uranus 2015-08-28 (Thor’s Hammer and more)

You will start to feel this by August 27th….

Grandtrines

Sun Sesquiquadrate Uranus 2015-08-28 (Hard Rectangle and More)

Sun Sesquiquadrate Uranus perfects Friday, August 28, 2015.  This is a very GOOD energy for “getting things done” (particularly if you “bit off more than you could chew when you took on that new project Wednesday with Sun Conjunct Jupiter), but it can be very bad if you act impulsively and do something rash and stupid because your temper overcame your better sense.  (Lawyers and boxers might do well under this pattern, but most everyone else tends to suffer.)

We show the chart first filtered for the Sun Sesquiquadrate Uranus aspect (and shows upcoming Sun Opposite Neptune):

Here is the same chart, filtered for 5th harmonic aspects:

2015-08-28 Sun Sesquiquadrate Uranus (5th harmonic)[Click Image to Enlarge]

We see a triangular pattern (a quintile trine?) connecting Mercury (communication and transportation), Astraea (law and legal system), and Pallas (innovation, particularly military innovation).  This can be…

Alleged drone shooter indicted in Cape May

August 26, 2015 at 2:59 pm | Posted in Astrology | Comments Off on Alleged drone shooter indicted in Cape May

Here in Texas we know that he should not have shot one out of season.

A Lower Township man has been indicted for using a shotgun to shoot a drone out of the sky in the first such case recorded in Cape May County and one of the first in the nation.

Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor said a grand jury on Tuesday returned an indictment against Russell Percenti, 33, of Seashore Road, on charges of possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose and criminal mischief.

Taylor said the firearm charge is a 2nd degree crime that could bring a sentence of five to 10 years. Criminal mischief is a 4th degree crime that can bring 18 months in prison.

First State Legalizes Taser Drones for Cops, Thanks to a Lobbyist

August 26, 2015 at 2:57 pm | Posted in Astrology | 4 Comments

An example of how things can go TERRIBLY wrong in our political process.

Armed Drones for Cops Are Now LegalNorth Dakota police will be free to fire “less than lethal” weapons from the air thanks to the influence of Big Drone.
It is now legal for law enforcement in North Dakota to fly drones armed with everything from Tasers to tear gas thanks to a last-minute push by a pro-police lobbyist.

With all the concern over the militarization of police in the past year, no one noticed that the state became the first in the union to allow police to equip drones with “less than lethal” weapons. House Bill 1328 wasn’t drafted that way, but then a lobbyist representing law enforcement—tight with a booming drone industry—got his hands on it.

The bill’s stated intent was to require police to obtain a search warrant from a judge in order to use a drone to search for criminal evidence. In fact, the original draft of Rep. Rick Becker’s bill would have…

August 29, 2015 at 11:35 am PT is a full Moon in spiritual Water sign Pisces. Empathy is increased as this full Moon conjuncts Neptune. People are more aware of their emotions, and the emotions of others. Plus there is more sensitivity to your surroundings.

The lucky aspect of Sun conjunct Jupiter brings optimism, and a clear viewpoint to balance any doubt. Sun conjunct Jupiter is fortunate for planning and seeing the big picture. Projects can come to together as this lunar cycle wanes.

Also fortunate is Venus conjunct Mars. People are happy together so this weekend is a superb time for socializing, romance, and enjoying all things artistic. More luck is that Venus and Mars in Fire sign Leo trine Uranus in Aries. There can be sudden good fortune and opportunities, especially now during the peak of this Monkey month. Monkey has the courage to be free of inhibitions…

8 Normal Experiences That Should Not Always Be Labeled a Mental Illness

August 26, 2015 at 2:49 pm | Posted in Astrology | 1 Comment

Excellent post about tendency to pathologize others. But, one was left out: some forgetfulness is NORMAL with aging and is not necessarily “Alzheimers.” Young people frequently demonize older adults this way, and it is both particularly damning and patently untrue defamation. Minor forgetfulness is common, beginning in middle age. Even for those who survive into their 80’s, dementia only occurs in a minority of the population. (20% to 25%)

Petite Girls Guide

Don’t Always Label Mental Illness
“What does mental illness look like to you? If you walked by someone on the street, would you be able to detect that they are a sufferer? Many of us would struggle with this because there are so many things that cloak illness such as intelligence, prestige, style, culture, or personality. But what do you think a mental health condition is? How would you define it? Could you define it properly? A mental health condition is typically something that interferes with daily functionality and causes difficulties in every aspect of existence (social, emotional, psychological, and even physiological). Symptoms are so obvious and debilitating some times that school or work and home or community life is difficult. A mental health condition often causes behaviors, thinking patterns, and emotions that interferes with relationships, education/employment, and reality testing. This article will emphasize how important it is to refrain…

Excellent coverage of upcoming Mercury transits (through October)

Tara Greene,Tarot Reader, Astrology Psychic

Mercury leaves his home sign entering Libra, sign of Relationships August 27, turning RETROGRADE September 17 at 15+ degrees Libra and then Direct at zero degrees of Libra on October 9th. Mercury will need until October 25 to get past its Retrograde stationary point.

Libra is Venus’s sign and the chit chat will be all about our partners, fashion, beauty, the social scene, charm, high culture, the arts, fashion, music, theatre, poetry, literature and gossip.

Do go to art galleries, and let the air signs natural curiosity take you to new dialogues and presentations based on beauty. Think about your own sense of aesthetics.

That’s almost two months of the planet of communications keeping us focussed on socializing, relationships, relationships and more relationships.  Mercury in Venus’s sign  will certainly want everything to be NICE, friendly, diplomatic, concerned with social justice and connecting with others.

This is the time to seek…

Jupiter and the Sun

August 26, 2015 at 1:49 am | Posted in Astrology | Comments Off on Jupiter and the Sun

Apply moderation, and amazing gifts can be had at this time!

Amelia Shea

Over the next few days take advantage of beneficenr Jupiter’s expansive influence as it aligns with the Sun. There is likely to be increase in the area of your chart where this planetary pair is transiting – the very early degrees of Virgo.
With Jupiter transits it is wise to keep moderation in mind and to avoid excess – particularly with the opposition to Neptune – the planet of dreams and illusions. It can be a good time for increased spiritual awareness, for telepathic experiences and for expanding creative visions.
But it can also be a time of irritation and illusion. It bodes well wot make an extra effort to stay grounded.
One of the Sabian symbols associated with this time is, ” A man becoming aware of nature spirits and normally unseen energies.”

2015 Pisces Full Moon

August 29, 2015

11:35 AM PDT / 2:35 PM EDT / 6:35 PM GMT

6 Pisces 6

The Pisces Full Moon is a combination waking dream, party and mini-vacation, marking not only the end of summer, but also the winding down of years of upheaval. It’s an escape from what has come before, and a breather before we get to the work of the fall.

cruise-778537_1280

Any Pisces Full Moon unhinges us from ordinary boundaries between individuals, and between us and mundane reality, time and space. We experience greater than usual awareness of our interconnectedness with other people and humanity in general — heightened empathy, compassion and love — and with the divine. We are more open to peak artistic experiences, to otherworldly inspiration and, let’s be honest, to countering rational thought with drink, drugs and entertainment.

This year’s model is more extreme than the usual. One…

Esoteric Astrology: Virgo

August 26, 2015 at 1:46 am | Posted in Astrology | 1 Comment

Very nice piece on the nature of Virgo!

Blazing Light, Love's Song

Virgo sees how things could or should be done. It is a sign of doing, of rendering back, of harvesting the wealth of learning, and storing things away “for a rainy day.” Virgo realizes that today is the result of what was sown yesterday, and that what we do today will reap a harvest or result tomorrow. Therefore, Virgo moves in a methodical, predictable, and exacting way.

In Leo the sense of ego was developed and given full sway. In Virgo a quiet, humble responsibility is cultivated and expressed. Virgo is not out for the spotlight, and in fact usually avoids being the center of attention. Virgo is unassuming, often meek and behind the scenes, yet vital to the functioning of the whole. Therefore Virgo often does its work quietly, unobtrusively, and just because it needs to be done

Virgo has expertise in the manipulation matter, how to understand the…

Jon Stewart: Farewell to an Important Voice of Protest

August 26, 2015 at 1:45 am | Posted in Astrology | Comments Off on Jon Stewart: Farewell to an Important Voice of Protest

Philosopeak

I just saw Jon Stewart’s last show, and it made me reflect on the significance of Jon Stewart’s work for people like me. I certainly don’t share all of Stewart’s values, but I share his passion for making fun of the current political climate, because the national discourse has gotten so over the top and effective at making every instance of political unrest and dysfunction seem like an imminent crisis. Stewart constantly reminded us of the importance of being able to laugh at yourself and laugh at the absurdity of the political melodrama that’s constantly paraded before us throughout the media, effectively ensuring that we stay both afraid and divided on our points of moral and political difference.

What Stewart was so great at illustrating, was that while people consistently focus their attention on their points of difference in political discourse, our political leaders reliably betray their professed principles and…

Forest Service Official Who Let Nestle Drain California Water Now Works for Them … the Nature of Corporations

August 26, 2015 at 1:43 am | Posted in Astrology | Comments Off on Forest Service Official Who Let Nestle Drain California Water Now Works for Them … the Nature of Corporations

Wow!

Rangitikei Environmental Health Watch

Corporations owe no allegiance to anybody except their shareholders. Behemoths with legal person hood, they focus solely on maximizing profit … personal ethics are foreign. If you are of the older school you will have noted that for more than two decades now loyalty to staff is a thing of the past and consequently, staff hold little loyalty to their employers. We’ve all heard stories of folks who worked for companies that put out the rumour there was a possibility staff would be cut … so everybody sweated it out for months wondering if they were selected to go. It had the effect of causing folks to look for work elsewhere which saved the boss the job. Then there are stories of folks arriving at work and being told, pack your bags, you no longer have a job as from today. A far cry now from the days when an…

Exploding the Collectivist Agenda – Richard Heathen on “Hidden Influence”

August 26, 2015 at 1:14 am | Posted in Astrology | Comments Off on Exploding the Collectivist Agenda – Richard Heathen on “Hidden Influence”

If the Collectivists “win,” then the sole bastion of individuality, the United States, will ultimately be destroyed. This is because our strength in innovation comes from INDIVIDUALS. The fact of the matter is that some committee or “team” cannot invent ANYthing. Only one (or two) key individuals do, and MAYBE the “team” can tune or develop it. Adopt Collectivism and you WILL destroy innovation. (That is also why threats to Free Speech, so called “political correctness,” is such a threat to all of us.) These guys have good points.

Professor James Tracy

Law enforcement authorities and mainstream US news media are framing the November 20 Florida State University shooting incident as yet another case of a lone nut who regrettably gained access to a firearm.

Police Chief Michael DeLeo intimated May’s mental disorientation by noting to the press that the intellectually-gifted 31-year old attorney was in a “state of crisis.” “It’s clear Mr. May’s sense of being in place in our community,” DeLeo continued, “was not in a normal status” [sic]. For US journalists such statements, coupled with May’s unusual behavior leading up to the shooting are unambiguous: a sudden onset of mentally illness.

myron-mayBut was May in fact mentally ill? According to Derrick Robinson, President of Freedom From Covert Harassment and Surveillance (FFCHS), the United States has a long history of mind control research…
