The Venus figurines is a term given to a collection of prehistoric statuettes of women made during the Paleolithic Period, mostly found in Europe, but with finds as far as Siberia. To date, more than 200 of the figurines have been found, all of whom are portrayed with similar physical attributes, including curvaceous bodies with large breasts, bottoms, abdomen, hips, and thighs, and usually tapered at the top and bottom.  The heads are often of relatively small size and devoid of detail, and most are missing hands and feet. Some appear to represent pregnant women, while others show no such signs. There have been many different interpretations of the figurines, but none based on any kind of solid evidence. Like many prehistoric artifacts, the cultural meaning may never be known.

Research calls for 4,600 low earth orbit satellites.Samsung is the latest to outline a vision using satellites to deliver wireless Internet to the unconnected around the world, but it’s also proposing the satellite system be used to meet the needs of developed nations as well.

In a paper published last week, Farooq Khan, president of Samsung Research America, spelled out a vision of using low-cost, low-earth orbit (LEO) micro-satellites to provide Internet access to users worldwide. Each satellite would be capable of providing Terabit/second data rates with signal latencies better than or equal to ground-based systems, and instead of being geostationary focused like other projects out there, this one would be using the LEO satellites, which are closer to the ground.

Leo season represent the coming of the high growing time which reflects the abundant generosity of life. Leo is a Fire sign. The Idaho-based company says that the shotgun shells come with “high quality load that will effectively disable a drone encroaching your property’s airspace.” You should realize that shooting down a stranger’s drone might come with some legal consequences. That is, unless youdo it in self defense. It’s unclear if what self defense will look like if the drone apocalypse does descend upon us in the near future. But maybe for new let’s not shoot robots out of the sky—unless you have a drone hunting license, of course.

Grand Crosses of Aug 8 and Aug 18, 2015

August 2015 has two Grand Cross patterns: one is on Aug 8th and the other on Aug 18th.  Here are the charts:

This second Grand Cross includes a particularly tight and powerful T-Square containing Pluto (death, dying, police agencies, taxes, and major transformation), Astraea (law and the legal system), and Vesta (traditions but sometimes kinky sex).  These are critical issues on this date, and addressing issues involving life insurance, wills, and similar issues would be appropriate.  The Libra Moon transforms this T-Square into a Grand Cross.

It is with a very heavy heart that I ask our community to come together and support our law enforcement agency. On August 15, 2015 the unthinkable happened to a member of our organization.

Deputy Carl Howell a veteran officer of nine years was fatally shot in the line of duty while investigating a domestic battery in Carson City. Carl leaves behind a loving wife and four children who also need our support, thoughts and prayers as they negotiate through the most horrific time in their lives.

This horrific event has taken a large toll on all members of our organization with unthinkable sadness. If you see a Deputy let them know you support them by a simple wave.
