Chatter about a so-called “Blood Moon” eclipse has been increasing, and it refers to a series of Lunar Eclipses.  Lunar Eclipses are associated with Solar Eclipses and the New Moon of September 13, 2015 is the Solar Eclipse that precedes the fourth and final Lunar Eclipse of this “Blood Moon” Tetrad.  (Compare, also, the Lunar Eclipse of April of this year.)

While the NM does have some interesting qualities, it is not necessarily the most interesting NM of the year.  (That title would likely go to either the Algol NM in May or the Solar Eclipse this year at the time of the Vernal Equinox.  A hard look at what you were doing then, in March, April, and May, can help you understand why you are at this new turning point you have reached.)

[Apologies to iPhone users in advance: this is a LONG post.]

Other commentary on this Eclipse / New Moon:

If you are a student of the methods advocated by me, then you will know that I recommend that you read ALL of them (including mine) and compare to see which one works best for you.  My experience has been that some oracles are better suited for a particular person than others.  Another lesson that I have learned is that oracles that worked for me twenty years ago are no longer suitable after I have spent twenty years growing and transforming.  Typically, each oracle has something to offer, some better than others.  And, where I come from, the cooks have permission to alter the recipe.  Tailor the clothes to fit you, not the other way around.  Finally, we don’t have “Consumer Reports” for astrologers, so this is as close as you will get to that.  That said, back to our regularly scheduled program!

We present the chart filtered first for T-Squares:

The most significant T-Square is the opposition of Chiron (Pisces) to the Eclipse (Virgo) and squared by Pallas.  This involves issues of both healing and innovation (possibly military innovation).

Both Grand Trines and a Kite are present:

We see opportunity here, particularly for the development of innovative ideas that might actually make some money.  When combined with the T-Square mentioned above, we think breakthroughs in the health care field might occur.

Just as interesting are what patterns have been with us most of the summer, but are now absent: no Thor’s Hammer, Hele, or Rosetta patterns are present.  Also absent are mystic rectangles, hard rectangles, and a number of others.

However, a number of oppositions are present, and we show those in the next version of the chart:

Particularly noteworthy are the oppositions between (1) Jupiter / Neptune and (2) Astraea / Ceres.  The Jupiter / Neptune opposition could affect many issues, but the ones covered by the T-Square (healthcare) are at the top of the list.  Said differently, in the context of this particular New Moon, the Jupiter / Neptune opposition almost certainly deals with healthcare issues.  The Astraea / Ceres opposition is less clear, but it involves a conflict between the legal system and “feast/famine” issues.  We interpret this in a modern context to mean a conflict between the legal system and “supply chains.”  This second opposition may, or may not, be also involved with the healthcare issues.

5th Harmonic aspects (Quintiles and BiQuintiles) are mostly unremarkable in this chart, but 7th Harmonic aspects (Septile, BiSeptile, and TriSeptile) have a pattern I have not seen before.  It appears to be the 7th Harmonic equivalent of a Yod, so we will call it a “7th Harmonic Yod.”  Since the 7th Harmonic is thought to deal with “Karma” (and Karmic debts), we see this pattern (composed of two TriSeptiles, each connecting Mercury and Mars to Chiron, and a Septile between Mercury/Mars) as a “Karmic” (higher order) version of the Yod.  In any case, it indicates that you (or “we”) have a decision to make.

Despite being an eclipse, this NM is mostly unremarkable.  But if anything does justify the concern that some have expressed about this NM, it would be this “7th Harmonic Yod” and the decision that we face regarding how we will pay off our old (karmic) debts, especially as they relate to Chiron (the “Wounder Healer,” associated with healthcare and education).

We would not be surprised to see more unrest in Missouri.  The U.S. Map shows a “crossing” there for this NM:

In the World Map below we have circled the general region most affected by the eclipse.  (Actually, Antarctica is affected most.  Maybe this eclipse is about Global Warming and Climate Change?)
