Leo is a fire sign, which is about action and adventure — a time to take bold risks. Leo is also the ruler of the heart and spine. At a time when the world is filled with political unrest and bravado, it’s time for some true heroes to emerge — with some backbone and a whole lot of love.

This year’s Leo full moon is conjunct (together with) harmonizer Venus. And while that’s ordinarily cause for celebration, Venus is in backward-facing retrograde motion (read about Venus retrograde here). In order to move forward, we have to clean up or confront the past — particularly in the Venus-ruled areas of interpersonal relationships, love and peace-keeping. Set that Leonine pride aside and extend an olive branch. Or…

  1. I have found that listening to a lot of schuuman resonance to stay earthed, is helping me to not let all this easily flowing Leo prowess go to my head.

    • Music can be powerful. We are going through an odd mix of energies. Some are resonating on the Thor’s hammer with anger and violence while many of us (myself included) are mostly having pleasant experiences. “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times….”

      • Yeah, been feeling that hammer alright, but it has been cathartic. It brought a lot of deep shadow to the surface where I could confront and transmute it. So it’s been a powerfully transformative period.

One of them is that our lives are defined by repeating cycles, and part of those cycles includes a pause for purging and clearing before we start the next iteration of a cycle. This is part of the weekly cycle (originally “Saturday,” the traditional Sabbath and now Sunday and frequently ignored) as well as other cycles. And, I agree, at least some so-called “mainstream” segments of modern society have problems emergent from ignoring the need for these recovery periods. Rest and recovery are essential.

      • Yes, absolutely the pause that refreshes! Sound as a sacred architecture, a vessel for “unstruck” sound or Anaharta (Vedic) which shares it’s name with the word for heart chakra. The relationship between the heart and divine intelligence is very clear from this association. Thank you kindly for sharing your thoughts and inspiration. They help light the path. Warmest regards!
