None of the planets – besides the Moon – change signs this week, quite a change from last week’s transits. However, the skies always have some type of movements of interest and potential use. This week appears to be about Sun in dominion and Mercury in exaltation. Sun in Leo exactly conjuncts retrograding Venus this week, and he makes a separating trine to Uranus all week. Sun also starts to conjunct Jupiter in Virgo by the end of the week, and as Sun draws closer to the end of Leo, he prepares to enter Virgo and conjunct the fixed star Regulus.

Mercury, strong in Virgo, touches all three of the outer titans beyond Saturn (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto), and Mercury ends the week making an inconjunct to his tutor, Uranus. Thought and communication, in the context of work, duty, and cognitive…

Amazon envisions a day when packages will be dropped off on your doorstep courtesy of a drone, and Facebook wants to use them to bring wireless broadband to remote regions. Good stuff, though as it goes with just about all technology, somebody’s going to find a nefarious use for it.

The Perseid Meteor showers are annual very prolific meteor  showers appearing to us to be emanating from the Constellation Perseus. They peak tonight August 12 and tomorrow.

In Greek Mythology Perseus was the legendary founder of Ancient Mycenae and to the Perseid dynasty of Danaans, was the first hero. He was a hero who defeated various archaic monsters which are psychological complexes personified and archetypal symbols which became the founding myths of the Twelve Olympians.
Perseus beheaded the Gorgon Medusa whose head was crowned with dreadlocks as she was an African Amazon which was misinterpreted as snakes. Although serpent power was connected to Goddess tribes. He also rescued and  saved Andromeda who was chained to a rock from the sea monster Cetus. Perseus was the son of the mortal Danaë and the god Zeus. He was also the great grandfather of Heracles, also a son of Zeus.
