I am finding this post extremely helpful today.  It’s a bit long, but all great. I have some clearing out and some prioritizing to do this month, for sure – how about you guys?

“The themes for August are “CONSOLIDATION and PRIORITIES”.

This month is about getting grounded, organized and practical. It is about choosing wisely how and when to gather support and where and into what to put your energy.

We slide into August from a bit of leftover chaos and perhaps too many things on our plate. Some of you may be feeling stuck, spaced out, irritated or anxious. You may also be feeling a kind of inertia that comes from not knowing where to begin.

When we are in this state it is even difficult to acknowledge how much we have grown and changed over the last several months. It is much easier to moan, complain, blame others…

Does it feel like things have shifted and are getting clearer? Moon is in Pisces for the first part of the day, and moves into Aries in the afternoon. Pisces dissolves boundaries and feel the connection of all things, Aries is individual and personal. Pisces is water, Aries is fire..they are quite different.
Meanwhile, Saturn is moving direct again, still in Scorpio but the forward movement feels good, like we are actively letting go of weighty Scorpio stuff, and Saturn squares Jupiter and Venus today. This adds to the feeling of something coming together and to fruition, and the possibly that it all makes sense. Mars is linked up and interacting with the Uranus – Pluto square, and a grand trine involving the moon provides relief from the pressure at least for the first part of the day.All this is to say, good morning! A perennial question in predictive astrology is whether or not to relocate the Solar Return. Some astrologers insist on using only the Solar Return for the birth place while others argue that the more appropriate chart is the one cast for the location of the native at the time of the return. My own practice is to look at both charts because they give valuable information from different points of view.

Recently I watched a lecture about Solar Returns given by the Spanish astrologer Antonio Villalba. In it he mentions the chart of the Spanish naturalist and broadcaster Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente who was born in Spain but who died in Alaska on this 52nd birthday. This obviously is a case example which could shed light on the question of relocation.
