2015-03 Late March Patterns

After all of the excitement about the recent Solar Eclipse and Vernal Equinox on the same day, anything else seems anticlimactic. But, as you may have heard on late night television advertisements: “But, wait, there’s more….”

Many of these patterns flow into the early April patterns that precede the Lunar Eclipse in April. We will address those in a separate post. We begin with a powerful yod, accompanied by a lesser yod, that dominates the sky from March 22nd through March 31st. We present beginning and ending charts for this period and note that others may prefer to cast variants of these charts at other times and in other locales:

Since what we are left with is Saturn at the apex of a yod with Hygeia on one leg and Astraea on the other, we are faced with a difficult (Saturn) decision between healthcare (Hygeia) and law (Astraea). Other patterns intervene, and we have a complicated and nuanced period located between the two eclipses.

Please note, also, that since these patterns last anywhere from several hours to several days, maps are not appropriate (unless someone decides to focus on culmination of a particular aspect that is part of a pattern).

That said, we begin with the patterns of March 24, 2015, a crucially important day for some people. Two patterns are in play (in addition to the larger yod previously mentioned): (1) a focused yod that lasts only a few hours but gives people the ability to “get things done” and (2) a kite (containing a grand fire trine) that tends to be feel good but is also capable of accomplishing much giving many people some “luck.”

No matter who you are, you will almost certainly have a window to accomplish something important on this date, and you want to make certain you do NOT miss that opportunity.

Rosettas

As we write this, March 21st has passed. Remember that day? Did you find yourself forming some uneasy / unstable alliances with people who maybe were not “entirely trustworthy”? That will repeat on March 28th.

We note that we discussed some other issues regarding alliances in the recent eclipse post. You might recall that we said “that everything “points” to Jupiter, the real ‘winner’ in this war” which, translated, means only the lawyers win in these disputes. (Among other things, Jupiter = the lawyers.)

If you cannot stay home, then know that this will not last and be careful what you say and who you associate with:

Perhaps even more disturbing about the March 28th Rosetta is that it is arguably (at least) two overlapping Rosettas. Multiple unstable alliances with much potential for treachery. Be careful!

Polarization also emerges on the 29th and 31st, although these alliances are more trustworthy. Do not be surprised to see extreme events involving the ongoing problems with law enforcement and the communities they police. The 29th and 31st look particularly unstable for these issues, and the 31st also has a Thors hammer potentiating the danger.

Similar to the yod(s) that bracket this period, the March 26th Thor’s Hammer lasts for several days, starting on March 26th and continuing through March 30th. Again, be careful!

If somehow you “got it wrong” on March 24th, then you MIGHT have a “second bite at the apple” on March 29th. Your position will likely be much weaker, but the opportunity will not be gone altogether until after this date. An “almost” kite opens the window:

We end with the Diamond of March 31st:

Diamonds are particularly complex patterns and difficult to interpret. The end of the Mayan Calendar in 2012 had a focused yod at the moment of the end followed by a diamond a few hours later. “Not Much” seemed to happen, but the world continues to change in remarkable ways. In particular, some astounding social change is afoot, and we will become different in ways that will make it difficult to remember or understand the current times. (This is particularly true for anyone alive who can remember the 1950’s, 1960’s, or 1970’s and can compare them to today. The 1980’s movie series “Back to the Future” made this point then, but that was in the 1980’s and we have radically changed since then!)

We have seen other diamonds, such as Thanksgiving of 2014 and the Early 2013 Diamonds, but they do tend to be rare.

Exactly how this manifests depends on how we handled the earlier patterns. The Heles, Rosettas, and Thor’s Hammers are to be of concern.

Keeping in mind the warning about the earlier patterns, we will take a risk and offer the idea that, for many of us, this small window of time, only a few hours in size, will offer a special gift. With Saturn at the apex of the diamond, we are told that this is not an “easy” gift but one which we must work for, and it will involve hard work. With Vesta and Hygeia involved, it will likely involve questions of tradition and healthcare. For many people, the decision will seem personal, perhaps very internal. It might involve something as simple as starting an exercise program or attending a yoga class. But, again, it will be a profound turning point for some.

Uranus Square Pluto (March 16, 2015)

This chart has been filtered to show ONLY squares, and we note that Sun Square Pallas is also exact at this time. You may also want to read about Uranus Square Pluto in December of 2014 and Uranus Square Pluto in November of 2013. This major outer planet aspect precedes the Solar Eclipse of March 20th and the Vernal Equinox of 2015. It also follows the Full Moon of March 5th. (Maps other than U.S. can be found via this link.)

We note that this is the last of seven exact aspects in this series. The aspect is associated with social upheaval, and the last aspect will be the “parting comments” of such current upheaval. We expect most (or all) of the remainder of 2015 to be influence by this slow moving outer planet aspect.

The Mars aspects to Uranus and Pluto in April and May promise to bring some “exciting times.” “Things could go boom” at certain points during this period. (Again, note that this table of aspects does NOT include inner planets such as Sun, Mercury, or Venus.)

Here is the chart for the Vernal Equinox of 2015. In terms of traditional (and modern) Western Astrology, the Vernal Equinox marks the beginning of Spring. The equinox is one of eight key dates that repeat each year.

Please note that this shift, and it is a major shift astrologically, occurs about an hour after the peak time for the Solar Eclipse on the same date and less than a week after the final Uranus Square Pluto exact square (in that series). Solar Eclipse (and New Moon) of March 2015

This New Moon (NM) is also a Solar Eclipse (SE). It contains a complex parable of allegiances, hard and fast, during a period of multiple changing allegiances. As we tell this tale, keep in mind that it is a metaphor, and the particulars in your individual situation may vary from what we describe. And since the Vernal Equinox of 2015 follows this eclipse later the same day, we know that there will be more to follow in this story.

That said, on one side we have the angry wife who has been betrayed one time too many and her austere and bony father who has no sense of humor. On the other side, we have the husband, a lyrical poet and musician who likely abuses alcohol or drugs or both along with his friend the healthcare professional. Indeed, both of them might work in healthcare.

You should not take this metaphor too literally. The “angry wife” might be an angry husband, and the “bony father” might be his battleaxe mother. The “lyrical poet” of a husband might be a wife who works part-time as a prostitute to support her meth habit, and the friend in “healthcare” might be supplying the meth. And, somewhere in this drama, you have a role even if that role is the role of the audience.

Before you decide that one side is “better” than the other, keep in mind that the “angry wife” might indeed a be a hellion that no one can live with, and the humorless father might just be a bitter old man looking for yet another victim to expend his wrath upon. Maybe our lyrical poet / alcoholic has just finished treatment and, now clean and sober, he wonders how he ever became involved with these awful people. (He must have been drunk!) And, his friend the healthcare professional agrees.

Every story has two sides.

But, in this story, the angry wife and humorless father will tend to be the “winner” for the time being. That is, “sorta.” “Sorta” the winner. But chances are good the divorce attorney(s) who blow things out of proportion will be the real winners. (More on that later.)

Before we reach the story, we should point out that this is a Solar Eclipse, and such eclipses tend to signify changes that last for months and years. This is a bit more than an ordinary new moon, and it happens early on the same day as the Vernal Equinox that follows (the “first day of Spring,” which is the astrological New Year and sets the tone for the remainder of the year. Compare: the Vernal Equinox of 2010 which preceded a series of disasters including the WVA Mine Explosion and the Deepwater Horizon. And since the final Uranus Square Pluto exact square preceded this eclipse only by a few days, we can say that the times, and people, are “not entirely stable.” (More about Uranus Square Pluto.)

See a pattern yet? (Yods do not happen “all the time,” but it SEEMS that way since August 2014!)

So, if you have visited this site before and read the recent full moon and new moon posts, you know that this means that many of us will face two decisions. We tend to call these patterns “double yod keys,” (DYK) though SolarFire 8 did not identify this pattern specifically as being a DYK. A DYK, two or more yods together at the same time, signify AT LEAST TWO decisions in play, and possibly a number more. This eclipse is a “fork in the road” for many, and we have had many “forks in the road” since August of 2014.

Now to our story. A Hele identifies our players. On one side we have Juno (“angry wife”) and Saturn (“humorless father”) in a trine. On the other side, we have Neptune (“lyrical poet but maybe alcoholic”) and Hygeia (“healthcare professional”) on the other side in a similar alignment. Neither side really likes the other, and neither side is budging in its position:

March has been a month of polarization and allegiances. Where you stand on the issues that face you could be a function of where you stood at the time of the recent full moon (FM).

“Things” could become rather dicey in this situation. Maybe some third parties become involved (police?) and some otherwise innocent and unarmed person gets shot. (That seems to be a theme lately.) Maybe someone or something “goes boom.” We say this because a “Thor’s Hammer” is in play involving Jupiter (who often blows things out of proportion), the eclipse itself, and Pallas (the warrior goddess). While we do not know exactly who these players are (except maybe Jupiter), we do know that NONE of them are the four disputants (Saturn, Juno, Hygeia, or Neptune, aka father, wife, friend or husband).

Oddly, we might have the “friend in healthcare” as the instigator of any conflict, given the position of Hygeia in a T-Square. With the Uranus / Pluto square having recently culminated, we see a potential for awful things to happen. (Hollywood movies might emerge from these stories.)

A grand fire trine (GT) is emerging, and as always seems to be true in almost any situation, some people will have an opportunity to profit or benefit from this conflict. That opportunity will have a window that continues mostly through March 25^th but a few windows will be open as late as March 29^th.

This GT favors the angry wife (Juno) and humorless father (Saturn) and their allies (the Eclipse itself). (The lyrical poet Neptune and healthcare friend Hygeia are left out of this powerful allegiance.) But, let’s be clear, the biggest winner in all this conflict will be the one who “blows things out of proportion” (Jupiter, the divorce attorney(s) (who may be even more of a philanderer than our alcoholic husband!)).

And we see that level of power and influence in this version of the chart:
