Here is the chart for the New Moon of June 2014:

This New Moon comes only a few days before the Mercury Direct Station.  That leads me to believe that taking a few risks to “push things forward” during the “storm period” after the direct station might be worthwhile.  (The details depend on your personal chart.  This is just a general statement.)  However, Saturn is on the 7th house cusp (if you live in DFW), and Jupiter appears to be in an intercepted house.  So taking risks in personal relationships, with higher education, publishing, or law would likely be ill-advised.  What probably would work would be “risks” involving efforts to improve health, poetry, photography, and possibly mentoring those in closely knit relationships.

To my regular readers: sorry for being mostly absent for the last year or so.  “Life” has been very busy.  Changes are happening that should permit me to be present here a bit more.  To Evie Rose and a few other regular readers: I will address your requests some time this summer. Also: I am moving to using an open source tool for my screenshots (Greenshot: http://getgreenshot.org) so the possibility exists that the charts might look a bit different.

Here is the chart for Summer Solstice, 2014:

The Summer Solstice is generally a pleasant time for most people.  Of course, if you were born in the days near the Winter Solstice, around December 21st, you always feel a bit of tension at this time of year.  (Your birthday signifies the potential of things to come, and the Summer Solstice usually represents the best that you can hope for this year.  If you missed it, then you have to wait for next year.  Thus you feel some bit of tension.)  Similarly, those who have birthdays near March 21st and September 21st feel a bit of tension at this time of year.

The Sun and Mercury have recently spoken, but Mercury is retrograde so we will have new messages come to us after Mercury turns direct circa June 30th.  Early July will bring something for everyone, and either the Independence Day celebration (United States) will bring something or the few days afterward will.  The time around July 7th, give or take a day or two, is particularly interesting as we see the Sun forming a T-Square with the ongoing Uranus / Pluto square that has been in play for several years now.  This will stir some to action, and for those who are not naturally impulsive then maybe it should.  Roughly two weeks after that, the Sun will conjoin Jupiter as part of the Grand Water Trine that will break up shortly after that later this year.  For some, this window will be the last opportunity to accomplish something of major importance.  Only you yourself can know what it is, but when you see it this month you should know that you may never see this opportunity again in your lifetime.

Here are the Solar Maps.  The “Gulf South” (aka “Gulf Coast”) of the United States looks particularly interesting, particularly the triangle formed by New Orleans, Jacksonville FL, and Miami.

We note that Washington DC, and that general corridor, has Pluto on the Descendant (7th house cusp).  In this sense, we expect little if any relief from geopoltical struggles.  Indeed, they may worsen.  We especially expect a high degree of activity involving the intelligence community at this time.

Europe is comparatively quiet, with most of the “action” found off of the coast of Portugal.  Eastern Europe seems to be getting a break from what has been a tense situation though it may be an unusually hot summer for them:

Australia and New Zealand are mostly quiet with the exception of Darwin (which continues to be highly activated).  Brisbane also has a Saturn line dead center through it; while this is good for academics, most of the rest of the population will feel some period of difficulty.  This could be a period of economic difficulty.  Given that this is winter for this part of the world, the Saturn line for Brisbane could signal a winter storm for the coast of Australia where Brisbane is located.  (I would not be surprised to see a winter storm on the coast closest to Antartica, although one need not be an astrologer to have a hunch that this could be so at this time of the year.)

Finally, we have the Pacific Rim.  We note many complex interactions here, and we will leave interpretation of this to other astrologers.  [Subject to a possible update later.]  But, much is happening here:

We note that, as is often true, the Phillipines, Malaysia, and Indonesia are particularly active with many lines exerting influence.   The same is true for the parts of China closest to Japan. Although here in Texas not much news arrives from this part of the world, I can be certain that a great deal is happening.
