Here is the chart for the Spring 2013 Equinox (Vernal Equinox 2013, The First Day of Spring, March 20, 2013):

A grand water trine is present in this chart, with the Moon in its home in Cancer, Saturn in Scorpio, and the following four planets in Pisces: Neptune, Mercury, Chiron, and Venus.  For the “first day of Spring,” we can safely say that water is emphasized.  (Let us hope it brings nuturing rains but not floods.)

Mars perfects a conjunction to Uranus soon after the Equinox, and both are applying to squares to Pluto in Capricorn.  Both are applying to sextile Jupiter, and Jupiter is apply to quincunx Pluto.  This is an “energetic” (and possibly violent) time.

We suspect that the events of this time are an important prelude to the Grand Water Trine of July 2013.  (Also, to compare the Vernal Equinox of 2012, click here.)

Looking at the U.S. map, we see the lower Mississippi river valley is highly activated, including New Orleans:

We do not know whether this brings flood or drought, but we hope it brings neither.  We hope it brings healing.
