Saturn Enters Scorpio

As of this writing, over 50% of the traffic to this blog regards Saturn’s entry into Scorpio.  That topic eclipses all others, including traffic about the 2012 Solstice.  With that in mind, and given that the entry occurs in one week, here is some basic chart analysis of the moment of entry along with Solar Maps.

For an in depth analysis of the “meaning” of this entry, click here.

The Mercury/Saturn conjunction in 29 Libra that precedes the entry of both into Saturn produces a sense of urgency to “get things done” in the days before the entry.  Some of this is catch up work, and if you miss the window now then you will likely have to address it during the upcoming (December) Mercury retrograde.  At 29 Libra, this “detail work” has a sense of “fate” about it: it just HAS to be done.  Most of us will feel this, but anyone with a planet in Libra, especially late Libra, will feel it most, along with those who have planets at 29 degrees of cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) or 0 degrees of fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius).  The many Scorpios who have dropped by and said hello on this site will feel this sense of urgency this week.

Do not be surprised to hear something profound from one or more of the legal systems, such as a United States Supreme Court ruling.  For some people, this may bring heartache at the loss and others a sense of relief in the resolution.  Things Libra, including the judicial system, will tend to have resolutions this week (and failure to resolve probably shows up in the upcoming Mercury retrograde).  And, in upcoming political debates for election of the President of the United States, we expect the Supreme Court to be particularly important, perhaps even part of a centerpiece issue.

Mars is very late, and actions upon these things Libra may be deferred a bit.  The decision is made, but the action is delayed.  The delay is likely to be brief.

From a larger perspective, we have 2 1/2 years of Saturn in Scorpio, people born circa 1982 to 1984 either start or are in their Saturn return along with those born in the mid 1950’s, and Saturn begins to move into place for its position in the 2012 Solstice.  As the classic line from the movie Bladerunner goes, “Reaction time is a factor in this, so please pay attention.”  Frankly, things look a little tough right now.

Needless to say, this chart has a large number of squares.  Here is the “beginner’s chart”:

For fun, we are including a “Horary” version of the chart.  Horary charts are ordinarily for asking a question of some kind–fortune telling–but we include this for anyone interested in other “considerations” such as Arabic parts:

The following is “Globe 1.”  Solar Maps is part of the Solar Fire family, and the developers of Solar Fire live in Australia.  Needless to say, “Globe 1” is centered about Australia.

We note in the Australia map that the Pluto line exactly aligns with Alice Springs:

Asia appears to be profoundly activated, particularly Thailand and Indonesia.  We expect some unrest in this region.  (Which, we admit, is a conclusion that could be obtained from Mundane sources.  The astrology, here, confirms what is already known.  However, we do note that the unrest that has been present in Indonesia may spread to other regions based on this map.)

Obviously, we must include maps of home.  We note that Baja, Mexico, eastern Nevada, Idaho, and points north are highly activated in this map.  Also, if an earthquake does not happen in California consequent to the Full Moon of Sept 29, 2012, one is likely to happen by the Winters Solstice (or so we believe).

The UK (particularly Southern Ireland), France, and Spain are highly favored by this entry!  This is true for most of Europa, although the Pluto line passes through a significant part of Eastern Europe.  But, the possibility exists that England / France / Spain may see some relief in the next 2 years or so.  The EU has a window of opportunity for “turning things around.”

Stating that “there could be some unrest in the Middle East” seems laughable.  We note that the Pluto line goes through (very close) Cairo, that the Uranus line is not far from Baghdad, and Mercury / Saturn pass through Afghanistan and Pakistan.  If you know how to interpret these lines, then the tautology of the first sentence of this paragraph is astrologically evident as well as self-evident.

Full Moon, September 2012: T-Square Activation and Mars Opposes Algol

We have an “interesting” full moon coming this weekend.  It seems to be a marker of the sign of the times with a gunman killing a number of people in Minneapolis as well as profound unrest in many areas (and aspects) of the Middle East.  Here are a few key points:

1.  The relationship between Uranus and Pluto (the square that will “toll” like a bell seven times, according to Cainer, until 2015) is activated by this Full Moon.  The Moon is a degree of orb away from Uranus as its opposition with the Sun culminates.  In simple terms, the Moon conjoins Uranus, the Sun opposes Uranus, and all three square Saturn Pluto.

[Sorry for the typo.  But, most of you know I meant Pluto, right?  After all, if you are reading a blog like this one, then SURELY you have heard about this Uranus/Pluto event that will last from circa 2011 to circa 2015.  Right?  If not, then check back.  We will be writing much more about this in the months to come.  Update: We think this Full Moon has some Earthquake potential.  Hopefully, we are wrong.  But, it looks like a possibility.  Update to the Update: expected the earthquake to be SOMEWHERE ELSE, not here in Dallas.  But, though small, read about it here.  Thankfully, it was too small to be felt anywhere outside of our immediate region & no damage locally.]

2.  Mars, only a degree past a square with Venus, opposes Algol.  Venus obviously squares it.

3.  Easy to forget with all this current high drama, Saturn soon enters Scorpio in preparation for the aspects of December of 2012.

From the maps, I note that the northern coast of South America is VERY active at this time.  Not sure what will happen here, but do not be surprised if some kind of border dispute turns “hot” and possibly into a war.  “Things” look troubling here.  The same is true for East Timor, which has exactly the same kind of energy (Sun/Moon/Pluto) in maximal configuration.  Things could go boom.

Practical Applications of this Full Moon: (1) This is a dangerous period.  Be careful.  (2) This is a time to balance between planning and taking action.  If you have been doing too much of one, then it is time for you to look at doing the other.  That is, if you have been going “full tilt,” then you need to pause and rethink your goals and objectives.  And, if you have been “all saddlin’ up and no riding,” then you need to get back in the saddle and get something done.  Only you know which one.  But, if you really are not sure, then do something (safely).

Here is the chart, calculated by Solar Fire and set, of course, in Plano.

Earthquakes in Mexico (2012)

While briefly reviewing the email from GrandTrines readers, and conducting some other brief research, I came across a link from Jude Cowell’s Stars Over WashingtonNeptune Cafe on 2012.  If you are interested in the 2012 predictions, then you might want to read that.

In that piece, the authors (Neptune Cafe) claimed that (based on their reading of a popular book by Jenkins) May 20, 2012 is an important date, and the authors (of Neptune Cafe) stated that “we could suggest that Mexico City will be destroyed by a violent earthquake.”

Well, Mexico City is alive (but possibly not well due to the crime waves of recent years).  And, we point out here that Jenkins is a target of skeptics.  Further, we do not adopt a “doomsday” point of view of 2012 on this blog although we do believe that a huge societal transformation has been in progress at least since World War II and probably since the American Revolution.  Even most skeptics would agree with that.  Unlike skeptics, however, we believe this transformation is part of a cosmic calendar rather than “mere chance.”  And, to adopt a trite expression, we believe “the best is yet to come.”

However, the following is worthy of note: (1) a magnitude 7.6 earthquake shook Mexico City at the time of the Vernal Equinox of 2012 and (2) a smaller 5.4 earthquake shook the city again at the time of the Autumnal Equinox of 2012.  (In case that link breaks, see here or here.)

Could we see a similar event again at the Winter’s Solstice of 2012?

Autumnal Equinox 2012

The Autumnal Equinox is Saturday morning here in Plano, and the Full Moon is a little over a week after that.  The Equinox is occurring just after the peak of the Uranus/Pluto square, and the Sun forms a T-Square with them within the next few days.  Once again, we can say that “revolution is in the air.”

Jude Cowell has an excellent political analysis of this Autumnal Equinox.

For people born in the late 1950’s to early 1960’s, Mars has either squared your Uranus or soon will.  These are dangerous times for you, especially with the Sun/Uranus/Pluto T-Square coming active.  Be careful.

With some ingenuity, creative types will be able to harness these energies to develop very “edgy” work.

For people born in Aries in 1965, Mars & Uranus was conjoined with Pluto in Virgo.  (Uranus / Pluto conjunctions happen roughly every 84 years.)  Mars has been aspecting this combination as well, leaving this group very volatile  or accident prone at this time.

[Update: Not sure what kind of glitch in WordPress eliminated my graphics, but here they are again.]

New Moon, September 2012

September 15, 2012 at 4:06 am | Posted in Astrology, BadDays, Lunations, Weekends | Comments Off on New Moon, September 2012
Tags: , , , , ,

Without doing a detailed analysis, I can tell you that the New Moon tonight makes this a good day to clean out the old and make room for the new.  A few of you may get some amazing bargains as stores unload excess inventory left over from summer to make way for Christmas.

Cainer talks about the Uranus / Pluto square becoming exact next week.  This means, so to speak, that revolution is in the air.  Here is a snippet of what Mr. Cainer has to say:

This week’s powerful alignment of Uranus and Pluto becomes the second in a series of seven celestial right angles that ring out like a giant heavenly bell between 2012-2015. This is our cosmic wake-up call; our reminder to stop dreamily believing that all is fine and start fighting for all that we need to protect and promote.

The regime changes in the Middle East are no surprise, but shifts from theocracy or totalitarian states might be a possibility.  A mere regime change from the old dictatorship to the new dictatorship is not much of a change, and, if that is all the Universe has to offer, then that is a disappointment.  Let’s hope that something more profound occurs, and we see democracy take root in a profound way in that region.

After the Moon enters Libra, not so long after the New Moon tonight, it will create a T-Square with Pluto/Uranus on Sunday.  This will be particularly volatile, and do not be surprised to see some shake-ups, maybe even “things going boom,” circa Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday.  A similar window happens a week later (Moon conjunct Pluto, power struggles and assassinations), the week after that (Moon conjunct Uranus, revolutions and explosions), and maybe even the week after that (another T-Square with Moon at home in Cancer).  All this with the entry of Saturn into Scorpio at hand, and a Mars/Jupiter inconjunct on the day of the T-Square.  (Daily Planetary guide says October 5th for the entry of Saturn into Scorpio, though I have seen a different source that says October 6th.)  We are living in “interesting times.”

Mars/Jupiter anything is explosive (without any Uranian involvement), and the inconjunct is always the aspect of false hopes, miscommunications, and a failure of meeting of minds.  You think you know, but in reality you do not have a clue.

Pluto, part of the T-Square, is essentially stationary and makes a direct station late Monday / early Tuesday (depending on where you live).  Overdue conflicts submerged for some time now come to the surface.  Mercury inconjuncts Neptune on Monday and Chiron on Thursday.  These are Libra / Pisces inconjuncts, also called quincunxes.  More on this in a moment.

Arguably, Thursday might have the “activating events” that really set things into motion, particular since Mercury activates the T-Square IN ADDITION to the inconjunct with Chiron on Thursday.  This is a volatile pattern occurring shortly before the change of seasons, with the Autumnal Equinox on Saturday.  That is immediately followed by a Sun/Neptune Inconjunct in Libra / Pisces.  This particular type inconjunct, Libra / Pisces, is probably more associated with confusion than any other possible pattern.  It could be also associated with unanticipated revelations since Pisces reveals and Libra balances.

For many people, this will be an uncomfortable period, with miscommunications leading to sometimes disastrous revelations or disclosures of otherwise private information.  This could also be a bad time to be a “bad guy,” since they will at least be identified (by justice, often symbolized by Libra) even if they are able to slip away (Pisces, the slippery fish).  If you think you can attack from a hidden position and get away with it, think again.  Quite a few people will be brought to justice during this period.

Mercury retrogrades November 6th, so you should adjust your plans accordingly.  Sign it soon, or in the next few weeks (by mid-October), or postpone it until December.  (Other than the fact that a large number of people are saying that we are facing the “End of the World as We Know It” in December, December might work.)

For those of you waiting for charts, no promises as to when they might be done.  This blog is a volunteer activity done for fun on weekends for most of the year, so Christmas might get here first.  I like to take my time on a chart and ponder what looks “interesting” to me rather than belt them out like a factory.  So, I can only promise that, as long as I am alive, of sound mind, and able bodied next May and June, that I should have the charts that are in the queue now (September 15th of 2012) done by the end of June, 2013.  (That date assumes, of course, we do not encounter The End Of The World between now and then.)  Til then, just a few here and there, maybe 1 or 2 per weekend.  The easy way to keep up is to sign up for the email subscription, and you will be notified when I make a new post.  Or, if you are worried about spam, then setup an RSS feed.  Or, just check back about once a week.

If you need an urgent consultation, then hire a full time astrologer to do it for you.

Joseph C and the Memoirs of His Adventures

Let me re-interate, Joseph, that you need to write your memoirs.  While I am unsure of the precise details as to why this is true, I can tell you that time is short for you.  That does not mean that you will die soon, but it does mean that a window is closing for you soon.  You must write your memoirs.  Here is how to do it.  Use either Word or Scrivener to organize your work.  Write as fast and furious as you can.  (That means you use the word count feature to tell you how many words you have written each day, and you make certain you write at least 1000 words per day, every day.  Like Hemingway, you stop dead center in the middle of a thought each day to prevent “writers block” when you start the next day.)

Give yourself a deadline.  Heck, *I* will give you a deadline: September 30th.  You have to write the end first, and work backwards.  That is, you write the last chapter, and it begins like this: “Here is why I am writing this:”  Then you write the previous chapter and work backwards.

On September 30th, you will publish the entire thing, by midnight, as a first edition on .MOBI format in Amazon’s Kindle marketplace.  (Note that you can find ebooks there on ebook publishing, and several blogs discuss the idea, such as this one and this one.)

Although I do the astrology work I do for “free,” my real payment is (paradoxically) anonymous recognition.  So, I want a credit.  (Grandtrines, at grandtrines.wordpress.com, gave me the kick in the seat of the pants to write this.)  Maybe I will publish a “Grand Trines” book myself.

If you are still alive and able bodied on October 1st, you can NOW re-write the chapters (and add material if you wish).  At the end of October, you publish again, but this is now the 2nd edition.  The main thing is, you need this work PUBLISHed somewhere “just in case” the window closes.

If you are still alive and able bodied on November 1st, you can take what you have written and use it for the basis of a novel (work of fiction) by participating in Nanowrimo.  Start at the end again.  Publish in .MOBI format to the Kindle marketplace on December 31st.  And, I want another credit!

Here is what you wrote when you requested my analysis:

Hello-Great insights! Thank you so much for the Mutual reception article…
I am a sag with a stellum of scorpio planets in the 12th- venusconjnept conjunct ascend conjuct moon….which are also conj sun merc in sag.
When saturn and pluto was in scorpio in 84 I became very ill for a yr….later I was diagnosed with hiv which progressed to aids. I did not take meds(stubborn) until 5 yrs ago. I am now a pretty vibrant individual…I could fill volumes on my “affair” with pluto as it touched all of my personal planets. I witnessed tremendous death in this life. I am looking forward to this transit. It seems that once you align with pluto and discard what is asked of you the light bursts thru. I watched 2 dear friends lose their lives when saturn transited their 12th just a few months ago…I have a hope that I will release more ego-more baggage- more fear…and maybe if it is my time to leave the planet…Im ready.
But I also sense a great power building within me…pluto in my 2nd nept in 4th, chiron return, uran in 5th, jupt in 7th is filling me with creativity and God….I am full.
….I am trying not to hold my breath for the worst- I am praying for more release of that which holds me apart from God/wellbeing. Can the mutual reception aid in my release? Pluto will almost be sextiling my venus/nept when saturn is on top of them.
Neptune is trining the 12th- along with jupiter. Will the support from these bodies aid in the saturn transit? I began studying astrology when I first got sick…my health is amazing right now…any thoughts are most welcome.

Although I can answer your specific questions, the prescription (maybe I should be Dr. Grand Trines?) I mentioned above should address your needs.  This is particularly true with your Jupiter/Chiron conjunction and the ongoing Chiron return in your chart.  (You can certainly ask questions, and we can discuss it in comments.)

Here is your natal chart, produced in Solar Fire 7 and annotated using Snag-It:

And, yup, Saturn will give you quite a ride in 2013 / 2014 / 2015.  Look back at what happened 14 & 28 years ago to get a perspective on what is coming.

Update: Joseph found that we had an error in our calculations.  Here is the corrected chart.  Our interpretations, however, still stand the same.
