Reader Nefrit has requested analysis of her natal chart.

Based on the data provided, here is the chart produced in Astrolog:

Nefrit has her Sun in late Scorpio with her Moon in early Pisces; the two are 102 degrees apart,  They are trine by sign but not by degree.  Saturn will trine her Moon in 2013 but not contact her Sun until somewhat later (probably 2014).  She has experienced her first Saturn return and the associated transformation.  Saturn will continue to bring transformation, particularly as it conjuncts Venus and Uranus.  This happened early in her life as well, probably about age 8 to 10 years of age.  Something rather profound likely happened then, such as a divorce of parents, a move to a new city or country, or something else similarly profound.

Particularly interesting is her close relationship between the Sun and Ceres,  Ceres is representative of feast and famine.  Prior to the 20th century, when famine was common, Ceres had a different meaning.  It meant actual famine.  Today, it usually signifies a pattern of preoccupation with weight and weight loss.  Usually it signifies also a pattern of extreme diets followed by a the “rebound” effect of gaining the weight back plus new additional weight.  Nefrit will have to carefully guard against being ensnared by this or a similar pattern.  In a worst case scenario, it could signify an eating disorder such as bulimia.

Mercury, Juno, and Neptune are essentially conjunct near 15 Sagittarius.  Her communications are how she gets things done, but sometimes they are unclear.  Worst case either she or the other party engages in outright deceit.  In her original request, she asked about boyfriends and romance.  Based on this aspect, and her Sun/Moon position, we recommend that she favor partners with water sign Sun/Moon.  However, her current Gemini boyfriend can work.  The issue of communications is important in all relationships, but heightened for her.

Juno, of course, was the jealous wife of ever-philandering Jupiter.  Jupiter cheated on her almost constantly.  Nefrit would benefit from studying the mythology and stories of Juno and how to address those issues.

With a sensitive Pisces Moon, dishonest partners more deeply wound her than others.  The issue with Ceres (and weight / weight loss) compounds the problem.  Uranus and Venus are essentially conjunct, so she may have a predilection for what might be termed “unusual” relationships.  This could range from the May/December variety to GLBT to those that are truly “kinky.”  As I watch Craig Ferguson while I write this, I hear the announcer mentioned “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Sex Toys.”  Is that a coincidence?
We note that the Moon in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer trine the Venus / Uranus duo; this forms a grand water trine making this combination particularly important in her chart.  The Venus / Uranus duo tend to affect both her Moon (her deep internal self) and her career (Jupiter).  Despite a preference for “creative romances,” we suspect that she has a deep yearning for a family (Jupiter in Cancer).  If that is not feasible, she will tend to work in areas that involve water or fluids (shipping by sea, the oil industry) or working with families (possibly social work).

Of course, we are not saying any of this is necessarily “true” in the form described.  Planetary positions and aspects can be expressed in a large variety of ways.  These are just the most obvious interpretations.

We invite her response and clarifications.

  1. Dear Grandtrines, thank you very much for making my chart, at the age of 9 there was a big move that happened, where my dad had to leave work and all of us had to move to a different house, dad moved to a different country, it was one of the worst times that we faced as a family.

I’ve never had any problem regarding weight and weight loss, i think the losses you are talking about happened but in a different aspect, as during my marriage that lasted 7 years i miscarried 4 times and had a still birth baby boy. So every time i got excited i got disappointed right after. And maybe that explains what you said about me yearning for a family, i do love children very much.

emm as i said before my ex was 16 years older, and from a different country, I had to live away from family, and the marriage was emotionally very painful. And he was a Gemini too.

I can’t think of creative romances, but i have to say they were all kinda unusual, like different religion, someone who is much older, and now someone who is from a total different culture but who feels so right.. (btw in my culture all those romances/marriages are very unlikely to happen).

I am interested to know why you thought me and my bf could work? as i said he is born on the 23rd/may/1978 at 7.15 am in London. Would this also cause me pain?

    • Things are getting busy for me, so a smart thing to do would be to make a reply with your BF’s info so it goes in the queue. As you already know, I am a bit backlogged. Also, frankly, I want to do a more in-depth analysis for you, so that means I need to block out a Saturday (or maybe Friday) afternoon. Next weekend is out, so that would be the first or second weekend in September.

The relationships you describe would fit adequately, and fit very well if you come from a conservative culture (where, as you mentioned, these relationships would be unlikely). Yes, you will feel some pain along the way. I recommend that you journal extensively with the idea that you might become a writer who uses fictitious versions of your story for the benefit of a possible livelihood and just maybe the benefit of others who have had similar experiences. I have the feeling that you might be as adventuresome as I am, and that is something to be noted! Congrats on living an interesting life. And, yes, family means a great deal to you (per the astrology). If cannot tell if you will have a child or not. But, if you do, I know you will cherish that child and be the best mother possible!

      See you in September!

      • Ahh, I can’t even start to tell you how i feel reading this, you brought tears into my eyes, life has been interesting, yes, and also very painful, but I’ve never been angry about anything that happened, I know there’s something bigger out there and i do believe that good things do happen.. and thank you for thinking that i could be a good mother 🙂

I make art, I think my art practice was the way that i found so i can give birth in a way or another… I’ve written a little as well, but reading what you have written just now, will definitely make me think about it in more depth..

I want to thank you for the insights you have given me, for the time you spent/are spending responding to me, and mostly for being kind & thoughtful, I do feel such a sensitive energy coming my way. Thank you!

  2. One more thing that could fit with what have been said here, is that i had my suspicions that my ex husband was gay (definitely he wasn’t open about it, he might have been fighting it), I have never been exactly sure but there were many signs, but i’ve been going through a lot at the time that i wasn’t even looking…

    • That would be EXACTLY the kind of result I would expect with the Venus/Uranus combination!

  3. Hi,

Here I am writing to you once again. Thanks for co-operating the last time. I got carried away and wrote too much.

I believe Saturn has majorly started effecting my life from 4 Aug 2012. I guess, it will stay so for the next 7.5 years. As they say according to Indian astrology, it is called “sadesati”. It is also said that the first 5 years will be worse and last 2.5 years will be good.

    My current life scenario is:
My marriage is going thru a rough patch.
I have started to study masters.

    My DOB is 21 Feb 1979, Wed, 04.15 (AM); Time Zone: GMT+5.30hrs , Ahmadnagar, (Latitude: N 19° 5′ 23.9676″ Longitude: E 74° 44′ 40.308″); Asc: Sagittarius.

    1. Will my marriage last? Will I get out of this? Is there a separation or divorce?
    2. Do u see any other association right now? How long do u see this association?

    3. Will I switch job in the near future? Will I make more money as compared to current earning?
    4. Will I always have a source of income?

    5. Are there any indication of migrating to a foreign country? If yes, when?
    6. Are the next 5 years troublesome?

    7. When is or when was the best period of my life?

Is Saturn always causing neagtive impact?

Hoping to hear from u soon.

    Thanks,
    G

    • Ginni, I will do an analysis for you. However, I am not a Vedic astrologer. That means that I cannot answer a number of your questions because they are worded in a manner suitable for Vedic analysis. Furthermore, since my analysis is Western, it will be very different from others you have seen. For example, your ascendant will be Capricorn rather than Sadge.

    Waiting anxiously!

    Thx

    • You threw me off! You posted this reply on someone’s chart other than your own!

      OK, that said!

I won’t be able to do further analysis until about mid-December. But, feel free to formulate your questions. The more specific your questions, the better I can craft an answer.

(And, put the posts on the analysis I did for you!)

      • Hi Grandtrines,   I have been trying to leave a comment on the site at the bottom of my review but the huperlink does not work.    What I wanted to say is as follows: All this is very true. What has happened in the last one can not be ignored. This has indeed been a turning point in my life. With my marriage going through a rough patch, find financial security has become my prime importance.   Also, such circumstances developed that I had to drop 2 subjects in my third semester of master. Will be re-appearing for them shortly.   All I want to say is thank you for the time that you took to study about me. I feel this Saturn is going to have a strong influence for 6-7 years. It will make me do things that I am afraid of right now. I think Saturn is bringing tough times for me in the near future. Feels like good times are over!   Please let me know if you have any advice or guidance for me.   Once again I am very grateful for all this.   Regards, G
