Sun-Mars-Pluto Grand Trine of late April, 2012

Not sure how to interpret this: the Sun, Mars, and Pluto are in a Grand Earth Trine. Grand Trines are stable, and earth signs are stable. But, this is the Sun (“the Greater Light”) in alignment with the two warlords of the Zodiac. To be sure, this will spur some of us to action while others sit still and watch. Today, Sun and Mars aspected, about 5 days from now Sun and Pluto will. Then the GT breaks up.

The Taurus New Moon of 2012

The “Dark of the Moon” period from Monday April 16th until the New Moon of Saturday 21st (approximately 2am Plano time) will be a particularly powerful period for planning tangible accomplishments for 2012. How the financial markets will respond this April / May will be interesting to watch.
A number of events loom near. We will see a Solar Eclipse on May 20th that will touch Albuquerque NM. June will have a number of interesting events as well. Notably, these events are almost certainly setting the stage for the events that will follow the entry of Saturn into Scorpio this October. Among others, another Solar Eclipse will follow on November 13th. That Solar Eclipse is part of the same cycle as the May 20th eclipse. This is a very good window (up until this New Moon) for producing tangible expressions of art, from photography to sculpture. Take your camera with you, for the rare and fleeting moments may never present themselves again in this lifetime. Finish existing projects involving farms, tangible art, and finances prior to this New Moon with the intent of launching a new project either at Cazimi (exact moment of New Moon) or a few days later.
The most outstanding feature of this chart is the Mars / Neptune / Mercury yod. At this location, Pisces is intercepted and Neptune and Chiron are near each other in early Pisces. Mars is at the apex of the Yod. Located in Virgo (health, accounting, and related institutions), Mars simply will not allow us to avoid making a decision at this time. We are given two choices: (1) an intercepted Neptune in Pisces which is the ultimately symbol of either waiting or ineffectiveness or (2) a highly energized Mercury (communications / transportation) near Uranus (mass communications / revolutions / accidents / brilliant insights).
Personally, I would pick the latter. This yod says you “can” choose to sit still, but it will probably leave your ability to accomplish anything eviscerated. The mercury path does have some danger, and mis-steps and accidents are possible. This Taurus New Moon requires the kind of prudence that Taurus is generally known for. Exceptions exist: both Saddam Husein and Adolph Hitler were examples of what an afflicted Taurus looks like.
So, don’t act like them!

Also worthy of note: most of the planets involved (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Uranus, & Neptune) are in EARLY degrees. These early degrees signify that this period is about beginnings, and later in the year more will be revealed. In some cases, that will mean we will bear the fruit of the consequences of our actions at this time.
And, Chiron is at 8 degrees, signifying that events at this time may be related to the teaching and healing of the Diamond of December 21st of this year.

PAT shows an interesting configuration of two pair of stellia for March 25th. One stellium is part of a grand trine involving Mars and Pluto. The stellium of 3 includes Moon, Jupiter, & Venus (all tend to be considered benefic). Mars and Pluto are highly malefic. What can this mean?
At this time, Sun, Mercury (retrograde) and Uranus form a stellium of 3, and they are part of a “Huber Learning Triangle” with Pluto square to the group and Mars inconjunct (quincunx). Again, what can this mean? And, though each of the stellia are not directly connected, both are connected by their relationships to Mars and Pluto.
Would love to hear from other astrologers regarding how to interpret this (preferably BEFORE the date has passed).

If all these patterns are going to lead to something interesting, this chart could narrow down when (and where). Using this chart as a basis, here are a few maps. (Caveat: these maps are based on Moon Trine Pluto. The entire set of patterns is very complex, and this pick of chart to base the maps upon could be totally wrong. This is just a “best guess.”)
United States Map
The U.S. map is interesting. California (all of it) is affected by a node (karma) line. Texas, particularly San Antonio, and Mexico City are affected by a Mars (violence) line. (Sigh, that’s MY neighborhood!) And, most interesting of all, the corridor from New York to Boston is covered by two lines: the lines of the Sun and Uranus (part of the stellium with Mercury). Finally, a southern part of South Carolina, not too far from Atlanta, has an intersection of a Mercury and Pluto line.

Europe and the United Kingdom
The map for the UK and Europe does not show any lines on the UK at the moment of this particular aspect. Most of Western Europe appears unaffected, except Munich which could expected some surprises. A Uranus line (descendant) affects Stockholm. Generally, Eastern Europe is influenced by this time by Uranus, Sun, and Pluto. Frankly, these bring difficulty. Warsaw, Krakow, and Sarajevo look like they might experience periods of unrest.

Asia
The cross of Mars (violence) and the Node (karma) in Sri Lanka is hard to miss. Maybe this will just be a good time to be an athlete there, but there could be some unrest.
The region from east of Tehran to Northwestern India, including Pakistan, appears to benefit from this period. Neptune touches Delhi, and both Neptune and Chiron lines dominate India at the time of this aspect. This signals some kind of healing for India (but, also, a risk of confusion). Uranus and Sun lines touch Hanoi and Jakarta, and some challenges could be expected there. The interior of China is affected by these lines, as well as a Mercury (communication) line. Pluto and Saturn lines cross about halfway between Beijing and Tokyo. Exactly what this means for China / Japan relations is not clear, but those two planets can be most challenging.

Australia and New Zealand
Apparently Western Australia has been experiencing some difficulties, and the Saturn line precisely on top of a border signals increasing strife regarding the issue of that border. The remainder of the country does well, and the eastern coast (Canberra, Sydney) does particularly well with a Venus line passing through that region. With a Moon line passing through Adelaide, a bit of thought about “what things really mean” is happening there. Regarding any regional conflicts that might be occurring, Adelaide really desires peace and reconciliation, a united Australia, at this time. Also note, the Pacific Rim countries due north of the relative cities will experience these same energies. New Zealand, particularly southern New Zealand, is dealing with karmic issues (revisit the past).

Aries New Moon April 2010 and Mercury Retrograde

With so much tragedy lately, particularly related to explosions and crashes, a pause in commentary seemed appropriate. Next post is likely to be later this week, some time between Thursday and next Sunday.
Aries New Moon 2010
Worthy of note are the energies of the recent plane crash in Europe involving Polish officials. The upcoming New Moon map for Europe shows activity east of Warsaw, between Warsaw and the border, as does this recent Full Moon Map, previously posted. That earlier map shows a Mars/Chiron crossing (commented upon), and another Chiron line cross that same region with the advent of this New Moon. This is a pivotal geography currently.
The main city activated in the U.S. by this Aries New Moon is Miami. A Mars line touches Miami, and this could predict violence. Most of the northern portion of the West Coast of the U.S. is also activated by Jupiter, generally considered to be beneficial. This could bode an important (and favorable) turn of events for Microsoft.
In the Pacific Rim, Jakarta & Kuala Lumpur are again heavily activated. This last location could possibly be the most important geography in the world at this time. The crossings here continue to be troubling, with a Mars line being the main focus.
Nearby a portion of India near Calcutta rivals Kuala Lumpur for the title of most important. This kind of Sun/Moon crossing at a New Moon may indicate a new beginning, a really powerful and profound new beginning, for this pat of the India (and the world). Big things are happening in this part of the world. (To those who live in this part of the world: Author of this blog & predictions mostly reads US/UK news. Any enlightenment as to what the stars / lights are commenting upon would be helpful.)
Manila has the same Chiron/Neptune pair that has caused an earthquake and a number of explosions recently. Note that most of the coast of China is affected by this pair of lines also, so the earthquake (if there is one) could be there (or Sea of Japan).
In the Australia / NZ part of the world Canberra is most strongly affected, and a Uranus line at the bottom of the chart is causing the effect. (Earthquake?) Sydney has a Saturn line nearby, and the entire coast of Australia is affected by the “Node” (destiny and Karma). Could this be some kind of monster quake stretching from Japan to Australia? (If so, expect the timing to be when Chiron / Neptune are on the angles, as was true with the previous quake in Baja.) My guess is that (if a quake occurs) it will be “about” one of these times:
1. April 19, 2010 4:01pm AWST (with Saturn on Asc & Uranus on Dsc & Moon at MC).
2. Earlier that same day, at 3:31 pm (Jupiter on Dsc)
3. Earlier that same day, at 2:01 pm (Chiron on Dsc) or 1:55 pm (Neptune on Dsc)
Similar sensitive points occur on the afternoons of the 20th and 21st; Friday the 23rd is also a candidate for this kind of event.
Mercury Retrograde
One more thing, Mercury is in the process of turning retrograde. The station will be this Saturday. That is a major event for everyone everywhere. Expect problems with transportation and communication. This could signify more crashes and violence due to misunderstanding. But, this is also an opportunity to resurrect old projects. Make certain all details are covered; any sloppy work will revisit you.

Not too long before the upcoming Mercury Retrograde, and this weekend, Venus will Square Mars and Mercury will Square Mars. Each will bring a culmination of events launch earlier, many starting on the recent Equinox and/or Full Moon. However, this is not the end of story. Mercury retrograde will force us to revisit, step by step, what happened. Mercury retrograde is about mistakes, errors, and omissions. But, sometimes, Mercury retrograde is about uncovering mistakes, errors, and omissions. You can bet that the upcoming retrograde will have interesting revelations.
This weekend shows, among other things, that Saturday is great for romance, of the hottest kind. But, reality will kick in Sunday, and for some terrible fights will be had. Try to find a constructive way to spin off all that anger on Sunday. Here are the charts:

March 31, 2010 Moon Enters Scorpio: A Time to Quietly Get Things Done

Two patterns dominate today’s sky as the Moon enters Scorpio. Both of them demand action. The potential for more damage or violence exists here.
The first is known as Thor’s Hammer or the Quadriform. It is also known as “God’s Fist.” From the article just linked to:
Other astrologers see the energy flow originating in the apex planet, which then must find a way to wield the power and dynamic stress of the square planets. It’s a little like holding a live grenade – what do you do with it?? You need to find a way to use it constructively and creatively, or the energy can become destructive. This image is like a Hammerhead or God’s Fist.
Here, the planets are the Moon (in Scorpio), Mars (in Early Leo, square to the Moon), and Jupiter in Pisces sesquiquadrate to both. How will you use this energy? The following chart is entry into perfection of the Thor’s hammer at 9pm local (Dallas) time:
But, earlier, a Double Thor’s Hammer occurred. The second square involved is Mercury square Mars, so both patterns are connected by the common planet Mars. This larger pattern made of two embedded patterns is not an acknowledged pattern, but the pattern is obvious, and so is what the name should be:
Of course, this is a bit like having a hand-grenade in EACH hand, and the explosive power is provided here by Mars (maximum explosive power). Actually, this should be called a “Left Double Thor’s Hammer” since an alternative form, the “Right Double Thor’s Hammer” can exist. (Or, if you prefer the less dramatic: Left Double Quadriform and Right Double Quadriform).
The other pattern is a Hele. The pattern was recognized recently, in 2004, by Sally Fisher (according to the link just provided). Here, Uranus and Neptune are in a semi-sextile. Uranus trines Mars (a potentially bad aspect regarding bombs and terrorism) and Moon trines Neptune (which either leads to great creativity or things being cloudy and obscured). Moon and Mars complete the pattern with their square.
Only recently recognized, not much is known about the Hele. But, the two trines involving two planets with large orbits (Uranus 84 years / Neptune 160 years) implies that the events of today (and maybe the past few days) will have significant consequences for many years to come. Although maps would be “nice,” choosing a specific point in time is difficult. For example, would it be the Moon ingress to Scorpio or the perfection of Moon square Mars? When the Hele perfected? When the Quadriform(s) perfected?
The two patterns are intricately connected and make two different but inter-related pronouncements on the same matters (Moon in Scorpio square Mars in Leo). In fact, this might be considered some greater pattern, a superset of both embedded patterns. In a sense, this pattern looks a bit like a square key or double yod key (prevalent yesterday).
The author of this blog (who prefers to be anonymous until after his death, and only known as “Grand Trines”) will therefore dub this, as alternative synonyms, the Quadriform Key or the Hele Key. (And, arguably, it could be called a “Thor’s Hammer Key” (more dramatic than the other names) or the “God’s Fist Key” (the most dramatic of all).)
Then again, maybe someone else (Grant Lewi?) found the same thing in the 1930′s. (But, as of this writing, no clear evidence exists of any prior recognition or naming. But the author of this website is a fan of Lewi’s, so he gets a plug.)

“The Cliff Notes” version: yep, this was another “Bad Moon” that certainly had the potential to generate a bombing. That it occurred in Moscow rather than Tehran or Baghdad is surprising, based on the maps. A number of global cities were affected in different ways, including New York, Philly, DFW (Dallas Fort Worth, aka “The Metroplex”), Oakland CA, Seattle, Vancouver, Tokyo, Jakarta, Alice Springs, Paris, Rome, Krakaw, Budapest, and most of Eastern Europe.
The Full Moon Will Provide the Energy for the Double Yod Key of March 30th
The Full Moon of March 29th has perfected, almost precisely as the beginning of this article about that Full Moon. Although the U.S. has some important activity, once again Australia looks “interesting.” We’ll cover the bombings today as well, and take a look at the Pacific Rim. Most of this post will be graphic so that you can “draw” your own conclusions. (Sorry, just could not pass that one up.)
The Double Yod Key of March 30th is still a powerful and “interesting” aspect. (Here is a different approach to March 30th) Decisions will be made on that date, and they will be major decisions following this Full Moon. Given the equinox this year with a precise Moon Conjunct Algol, other similar events may plague us this year. Focused Yods (fairly common) and Quintile Kites (not so common) are prevalent during this period, as mentioned earlier.

Note that Uranus has the largest midpoint tree. Since Uranus (aka Prometheus) governs the unexpected, that is to be expected on the day of a bombing. Uranus also governs rebels, rebellions, and revolutions. So, that this bombing was done by rebels is not (after the fact) so surprising, either. Note that Uranus midpoints pick up Sun, Mercury, Venus, Neptune and Chiron. That is, Uranus aspects midpoints of most of the planets in the chart.
An Aries / Libra Full Moon always has the potential for violence. Violence is not the only thing happening here; this could be a great time for romance, or building a plan and then engaging in decisive action.
And, now, for Maps. Looking at the U.S. first, we see (1) MC line for a very strong Mars that forms a T-Square with the Ascendant and Venus (at this particular location). This line operates through the geographic center of the U.S. Neptune in NYC and Chiron along Philly show that the Mid-Atlantic is dealing with some kind of profound healing. Since Neptune is all about revelations, do not be surprised if corruption is exposed and scandals erupt. Curiously, these same scandals may lead (believe it or not) to the development of an educational curriculum (probably within a Criminal Justice program) that specializes in training law enforcement in the discovery of corruption and organized crime. If you are reading this, and you are a professor thinking about this kind of thing, this is YOUR TIME. Do not hesitate; charge ahead with your plan. The time is ripe.
A hint exists here that something from the U.S. may have been involved in the bombing today. Different versions of these lines exist in the former USSR, so do not be surprised if we learn the explosives or detonator were manufactured in the U.S., possibly somewhere in or near the Mid-Atlantic (or along that Mars line; maybe here in Texas?)
One other thing, Oakland CA, and Seattle & Vancouver have a Sun DSC line nearby. In addition to making this a powerful Full Moon in those localities, the Moonrise was probably spectacular in those locations (still near horizon as this is being written).
Australia and New Zealand are “interesting.” But, the most interesting thing is the Uranus line through Alice Springs. Will one of the bombers have a connection to someone there? Or, should people there be “aware” for “surprises.” (What kind? Who knows? It would not be a “surprise” if we knew. But it is not necessarily “bad,” and no need to think this is a bombing. But, count on a “surprise” of some kind. Also, this is a VERY good time and place for “creative types.”)

With a Pluto line through Tehran and a Uranus line through Baghdad, the big surprise is that the bombings did NOT happen there. Given that Pluto is considered to rule Nuclear energy (and particularly Plutonium, which is appropriately named after Pluto), this emphasizes the continuing issues with Nuclear Power and Tehran. Note that, similar to the related Moon Conjunct Algol Equinox map, Jakarta is once again affected or even somehow implicated in the activities of today. Other parts of Asia are “interesting” as well:
Saving the most important for last, we have Europe. Oddly, Moscow does not have any lines. The most crucial point on this map is a crossing of Mars (violence) and Chiron (healing). That occurs very close to the eastern border of Poland. What this means is unclear, but do not be surprised if this region somehow played a pivotal role in the bombing. The UK is not clearly aspected, but both Paris and Stockholm have the Node on the Ascendant, implying that a turning point (at least one if not many) has been reached in both places. Most interesting would be to know what links exist between Paris and Stockholm. The aforementioned Mars line passes near Krakaw, Budapest, and Rome. Finally, that same Mars line, along with a Neptune line to the east, “bracket” much of Eastern Europe. Here is the map:
The Double Yod Key of March 30th

Why you need to really watch your mouth on March 30th.
What you say on Tuesday March 30th could have pretty serious consequences. And, if you are at all prone to “road rage,” then you better take a taxi, bus, or train.
Tuesday March 30th will have a series of “Double Yod Keys” that include a square of Mars and Mercury. By itself, a Mars and Mercury square can cause trouble. But with the Double Yod Key (DYK), mouth in motion before brain in gear can have lasting consequences.
Double Yod Keys, as a pattern, have only recently been recognized and discussed. ”Yods” are called “Fingers of God” and mark points where major decisions often must be made. These kinds of decisions tend to persist. And, the failure to decide is (usually) the worst of all. The parable of “Lot’s Wife” applies here: pick one and never look back. With a Double Yod Key, two major decisions must be made. Actually, a third decision is made as well: of these two key issues, which is more important. (Be careful before you ask “who is it going to be, me or the dog?”)
A DYK always contains a square, and this one has Mercury (Communications) in Square (Conflict) with Mars (War and Fights). Said differently, for many people this will be a dangerous time when they say or do things they regret. In rush hour, this could be a particularly bad road rage incident.
Like any other energy, this can be harnessed productively. But, the tendencies here are misunderstandings that explode into events with unintended consequences. Chart + list of other DYK’s (Only the March 30th ones have the Mercury / Mars square) follows, with the March 30th periods in BOLD.
The East Coast of the US (particularly DC to Philly) picks up the Saturn energy here, but the rest of the US, UK, and most of Europe is generally unaffected. (Of course, certain individuals will be highly affected.)
Globally, the main cities affected are Tokyo, Beijing, Hanoi, Darwin, and Central Australia (especially near Adelaide). I believe Delhi may feel some impact from this as well, and, if any major event occurs, India has the potential to provide leadership in healing afterwards. 2010 Spring Equinox: Make One Wish, and then Work for It

Make One Wish, and then Work for It
As pointed out in a comment by a reader, besides Moon Conjunct Algol, the next most important thing about this particular Spring Equinox is the relationship between Sun, Saturn, and Mars. The three of them form a pattern, probably one of the Huber patterns. At least one site describes it as a “Triangle of Potential“:
A Triangle of Potential is another fairly common pattern that comprises a trine, sextile and opposition, in other words two soft aspects and one hard aspect. In this case, the planet at the apex of the trine and sextile is the key to solving the opposition. The person will experience struggles, but by utilizing the energy of the trine and sextile will be able to make them work, so to speak. In many respects the hard aspects are what motivate us. If life was always easy we’d have a lot less incentive to grow. A Triangle of Potential will give a person just enough friction to utilize latent talents and abilities that otherwise might lie dormant.
So, the “gift” of this equinox is given by the results of hard work. (That is good for a number of countries in Western Europe.)
The planets and signs here give the potential to accomplish, and accomplish much. Both the Sun and Saturn are at the first degrees of their respective signs, and the Sun is at what many consider to be the most important point in the zodiac. The “solution” is found in Mars at 0 Leo (also an important point); Mars has just begun forward motion. That means old projects are being resurrected and given a second chance.
Two paths exist here: the fierce anger of Mars in early Leo and the stubborn unyielding destructive power of Algol, or using the focus given by the Taurus Moon and the energy of forward Mars in early Leo to get something done. And, by “get something done,” I do not mean death or destruction. The potential here is to bring about lasting change (Saturn is very permanent, the “bones” of anything). So, as you celebrate this Equinox, think about the one major change you want to accomplish this year, and put all of your energy into accomplishing that.
If you are a returning visitor, then you have probably read the “2010 Vernal Equinox: Bad Moon aRisin’” entry. 50% of you, or more, come here specifically to read that (which means that it sort of went “viral” on a very small scale, maybe 1,000 people or so). Traffic peaked yesterday, Thursday March 18th. Most celebrations are tonight. Except for some post hoc analysis later, this is the last entry regarding the 2010 Spring Equinox.
2010 Fall Equinox: Solar Map for Australia and New Zealand

Readers come to this blog from all parts of this blog. Australia and New Zealand need their own independent Solar Map for the Spring Autumnal Equinox. The chart is interesting, and it expands the perspective of all readers from that of a Northern Hemisphere perspective.
The star of this chart is Canberra. To speak in the vernacular (your astrologer lives in a Dallas suburb), the associated Chiron line is “smack dab on top” of Canberra. Neptune is close by. Here is the map, with more commentary below:
As you can see, Perth and the region Northwest of Darwin, are plagued by a Mars line. Frankly, this looks dangerous. Remember, in the mythology, Mars is the “God of War.” Unrest appears to be likely here.
Most of the East Coast is captured between Neptune and Chiron, with Canberra especially affected. Since Canberra is the capital, some source of confusion may exist here. The combination of these two, Neptune and Chiron, put this part of the world especially at risk for a H1N1 resurgence. However, programs involving the arts (Neptune), education (Chiron), and healthcare (also Chiron) may make great progress this year. Below is the chart of Canberra. (Aspects are not included because, except for the ascendant, they are the same as the chart in the previous article.) Also noteworthy: something involving great luck (possibly oil exploration / drilling?) will hit New Zealand this year, probably in the Southwest tip or just offshore.
